Still can't believe he was always talking about his grandma. I always thought he was talkin his girl. Still makes me laugh. Ah the good ol days of country
my brother also jumped into a pool with a guitar recently and been glowing for weeks so we've been making him stand outside as a Christmas decoration every night
My mother, Wilma Stockton, and a good friend, Lane Davis, were Joes' first backup singers at the Little Ol Opry in West Fork, Arkansas. Many moons ago.
May seem weird but i cry every time i hear this song. This is the last song i ever heard with my dad on the last day i saw him before he died, and ill never forget it. This song links me to and brings me back to all the memories
Okay.... most children have lullabies and little tapes of mother goose songs and stuff like that... but no.... I as a little girl had this song... and i sang my heart out everytime it came on the radio... still love it today!
I remember the first time I met him; We went to his garage sale in Rogers. My mom knew his grandma. I got an autographed picture and a mix tape :D I cant believe how far he has gotten.
I ran into Joe Nichols in my town. I didn't recognize him at first because he looked like anybody else. He smiled and gave me a casual salute and I was like o shit what's up lol
Back when I was a kid in the 80s I'd hear songs on the radio I didn't know we're dirty at the time and I enjoyed them just to name a few "cherry pie" by warrant, rag doll by aerosmith and poisons "unskinny bop"
Genius. Ear Candy. I suppose some people listen to music for the deep meaning, etc... but for me, just pure entertainment. Joe nails it over and over and over. Yeah! HaHa.

I manage a gym in Ohio and Joe walked in with his whole band and worked out, talked to my staff and I, pictures, shook hands. Couldn't meet a nicer person, coolest guy ever.
A buddy of mine, that I work with, got to meet him at a school function. Joe's daughter and my buddy's daughter, are good friends. My buddy said he is a great person.
@MarcosBryant-xg6nu well he is incredibly talented and instead of helping him with addiction that he had they let em fizzle out… I admire fact that he hasn’t given up he is still trying his songs are great and even covers are great and it’s a plus that he is handsome as hell and has a face that’s authentic and beautiful …

We just found out 2 days ago that my mother has cancer and there's nothing they can do. This video killed me. I know she'll be in a better place, and she won't suffer anymore, but losing her is going to be so hard. She is the greatest, sweetest woman anyone has ever met. I love you, momma!
Joe is like a new age Randy Travis, he's got that pure sounding voice but his songs are a bit edgier, while still being good old-fashioned country. Awesome artist.
Anytime I hear this I see this cute lil 85 year old man with his walker singing this at a karaoke bar and the energy everyone there gave him.... truly a magical moment amid all the chaos lately
The Wayne County Fair in Wayne Nebraska is proud to have Joe Nichols Performing LIVE on July 30, 2017! Tickets $15.00 available at the gate! FREE PARKING Enjoy a night of Midwest Hospitality and Fantastic Country Music!!
I think when they made this video, they wanted to throw us a twist. Something unexpected. We all imagine that he was singing about a girlfriend or a wife (I know I did when I first heard it without seeing the video). When actually we don't know her age. He very well could have been singing about his grandma who used to go to the holiday Inn back when it was popular. He probably heard stories at family functions. While singing, he is having a party at grandma's place (and he lives there too) or maybe it's his place and she is living with him. Who knows. While she is out having fun with her friends, he is having a party with his at home. Then later, grandma comes home and joins in the fun. What matters it's a great song and I personally find this video hilarious everytime I watch it.

When I was a baby my momma couldn't get me to sleep until she turned on this song and when I turned 21 I understood that tequila dose make your close fall off lmao
During a trip I could only get a country station on the radio and was expecting to have to listen to whoa is me music when this came on. I laughed so hard and for so long when this song came on. Best part of the entire drive. Thank you!
20 Navy, then Volunteered Rescue Squad and Fire Department 14 yrs, wrecked/rollover a fire truck in a Coma 7weeks. Slow starting but steady running country boy

When I was a kid my Grandma had this as her ring back tone. And one time we all went to Tequilas the Mexican restaurant and I said in the middle of the restaurant at the top of my lungs. But mom tequila makes her close fall off. Nanny didn't change her ringback tone for two years after that.
The bus driver used to play this song on the school bus when I was in elementary 🤣🤣🤣 I always loved the beat but when I heard it o the radio recently I couldn't stop laughing because I never knew he was saying these words
Man, I used to jam to this song 10 years ago when I was 18 in my dad's old truck. Good times. I'm more modernized now and not into the country lifestyle anymore, but I will always have the fond nostalgic memories of my teenage years.
1:23 tells us.... How old the song is without telling us how old the song is! When's the last time any of us girls "had" to wear pantyhose?!?! It was the late 80's for me.....thank god!!
I agree about him being under-rated. I saw him at the casino here in Grant, Ok...1,000 seat venue. A THOUSAND seats and this guy has been around for decades, he deserves a MUCH better crowd! He was awesome in concert-lotsa fun and came out and played poker with folks afterwards!
