I’m a Hispanic Christian, I visited an African-American church and they sang this song. I love it so much, I had been praying and proclaiming the passage that this song is based on to combat fear during the week I first heard this song. I’m glad I found it on RU-vid. My black brothers and sisters know how to vibe and worship with joy! ❤️
I remember this song popped in my head my senior year of college during finals and then suddenly I saw a old episode of the Steve Harvey Show on tv when Romeo was performing this song with the gospel choir. I passed all my finals and graduated from college. Now I’m working on my masters and this song was on mind this morning. I know everything is going to be fine.
Im an undergraduate and i gotta work 😪 but this comment gives me faith. So many comments are about personal testimonials but this about education so i dont feel alone

This song is perfect for the time we are living in now especially with this pandemic of the Coronavirus going on and it’s something how this song popped in my head today at work. It’s a reminder that no matter what’s going on we are not to be afraid of anything because Jesus is still on the throne and is in control of everything. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This one the song takes me back to my old home church. A much simpler time in my life during childhood. When ALL my family was still together at my uncles church. And everyone was alive and well. We stayed singing this! I miss those days bad and everytime I hear this I go back in time…reminiscing to how church was growing up in the late 90s/early 00’s. I still wish things were how they was then with my family now. I’ve lost so many members over the years since then and hearing this I could just see all of us together back then how we used to be.
When I was little, I used to think that the choir said "Call off the Deal"; hahahahahahahahaha! Now that I look back, I kinda feel bad that I said that. It's all good because I know that God looks beyond our faults! haha! Stay encouraged and God Bless You!
Back when Gospel ministered your soul and made feel good with a holy bounce and anointing! Not like this secular so called gospel sexy digital music of today and the choir wore robes and looked holy and sounded holy. The anointing was so heavy on that song, musicians, choir and singer until it had the whole place moving…even the white folks were up clapping and rejoicing. Now, thats how the anointing is suppose to take over any environment, setting or gathering.
God has not given us the spirit of fear! But the Lord has given us power!! Why do I accept fear when it comes? Today, it ends!! Lord, stir up the gift in your people! Give us your joy and peace! We want your happiness! We will not be afraid!! Go after your heart's desire! Your hands are blessed, my brother and my sister!
