After watching this, I'm really glad Greece got the Leopard (most numerous is the Leopard 1A5 and a good force of 2A4 and 2A6, with plans to upgrade the 2A4s to the 2A7 variant. T-90 was in the contest for choosing an MBT for the hellenic army but thankfully we didn't take that route). Also I hope Cyprus now buys something other than Russian tanks (they considered them to replace the AMX 30. They have some T-80s, but they may give them to Ukraine in return for western replacements). At this point even a second hand Leclerc from the French stockpile would be a better choice than a T90

34:11 Just to be clear: yes, at the very beginning Azov battalion has noticed proportion of people with political views from kinda-right to openly neo-Nazi. But there were also football fans, football hooligans, gym bros, retired police officers, local ethic minorities (Russians, Crimean Tatars, Azerbaijani, Greeks, Armenians and even four guys of African descents), foreign volunteers (Swedish, Dutch, Croatians, Albanians, Spanish, Chechens and couple Swiss)… As you can see, there were many people of all kinds. Since 2015, when this volunteer battalion grown into SWAT-type regiment, it officially became part of Ukrainian National Guard (armed police paramilitary). And since then Azov regiment turned into highly trained and well equipped professional unit. Under pressure they did changed their official logo, but true veterans still prefer wearing original one. Oh, and none of Azov members ever gave a sh#t about even an inch of Russian territory. All they wanted is to protect their own. But most importantly: 80% of Azov regiment personnel were pro-Ukrainian residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Even more, on daily basis members of this unit spoke between themselves in Russian since they got used to it. So does Donbass, Aidar, Shahtoyrsk and many more territorial defence battalions made in 2014 from volunteers. As Lazerpig said, at the beginning of Russian intervention in Ukraine back in 2014, Ukrainians basically did not has proper military to respond neither Russian forces nor their proxies. So, starting from March-April 2014 Ukrainian citizens self-organised themselves into local militias and gave Russians bloody nose. By only fact of armed resistance to Russian occupation of Ukrainian territories Russian propaganda nearly fall apart. That is a reason why Russian government putting so much effort to make Azov and similar units of Ukrainian volunteers look like they came from hell. And for Putin’s furious there are now three units which evolved from Azov regiment: Azov Special Operations Brigade (National Guard), 3rd Azov Assault Brigade (Army) and Kraken Regiment (Military Intelligence). So, no, Azov is not in same category as Proud Boys, 1776 movement or whatever hell next far-right self-proclaimed militia you Americans got this time. For very simple reason: Azov was formed as response for REAL existential threat, not IMAGINARY one. And unlike your “militiamen” who showing themselves like troublemakers and f@cking freaks, Azov warriors keep fighting against ruthless and unforgiving enemies in full scale war. Your idiots doing dumb things and pretending to protecting country, while these brave men and women willing to put their lives in danger as long as it will be necessary for sake of homeland. You may not like them, you may not support them, you can pretend they are not exist or questioning their beliefs. But give them some respect they earned by their blood and blood of thousands occupiers they killed. Because by far it is Azov members annihilating Russian War Machine, not us. Slava Ukraini, Heroyam Slava!
@martenkahr3365
@martenkahr3365 Год назад
I would add to this that some of the actual Nazis in Azov Battalion did attempt to leverage their fame as veterans in the fight against Russia to get into politics... only for their whole far-right party to peak out at 3% of the national vote in the 2015 local elections and promptly fade into irrelevance even as some of their notable figures made irrelevant noises about how they were boycotting the 2019 presidential election.

The REAL reason the Turret on the T14 is always spinning is because the traverse is jammed and they can't get it to stop. Or maybe because they have so little visibility through their periscopes that they need to be constantly on a swivel to see anything worth a damn.

So, bit of a clarification on the Tiger Porsche engine, which a lot of vatnik comments on the original video were calling out as "lying". Looking at the sources linked by Lazerpig, the engine wasn't quite a direct copy. First, it was not the original Tiger P engine from 1942: it was a an engine Porsche designed and made a small production run of in 1944 as an upgrade package for the Tiger P, hoping that a more powerful and slightly more reliable engine would convince high command to approve a production run of Porsche Tigers (it didn't). That engine never actually got fitted on any EDIT: Porsche Tigers, but some did get fitted on a handful of King Tigers and Panthers. The intact engines captured by the Soviets were from a factory stockpile. They probably also captured at least some of the factory tooling used to make them, so they already had a half-finished set of assembly line tools to make more of them after the war. After extensively studying all the stuff captured from Germany, in the 1950s they "designed" a heavy duty industrial pump engine by basically adjusting the timing of that Porsche engine to be better suited for industrial pumping operations rather than moving a tank. As LP mentions, this engine was a commercial failure: it was still pretty damn unreliable and not even the other commiebloc nations wanted them, so most of them went into the Soviet petroleum industry. And then Ural, looking for something they could actually realistically manufacture, came across the industrial pump design documents. And realised this was going to be the best their brain-drained engineering staff was going to get, because anyone qualified to actually make an original engine design would have been smart enough to run to the better salaries of the West as soon as they got their diploma. This redesign of the engine was actually a bit more involved than just scaling it up and adjusting the timings. Simplified summary: they basically folded the engine in half and changed the position of the drive shaft. But fundamentally, all elements of the feed systems, operating cycle and exhaust system were unchanged from the first and second versions: it added no modern innovations to anything; not even incredibly basic things that are commonplace in civilian engines. The only real increase in reliability came from the steel quality being better and more consistent than what Germany had to work with in 1944 or what the Soviets had in the 1950s.

At 55 years of age, I was fitter, faster and stronger than I had been at any time during my six years of voluntary military service, six years was the standard term of enlistment, and the same applies to the six years that I served as a Police Officer, so I remembered what I was taught and was then much better equipped to apply it, you keep up the good work.

A couple corrections (as per Lazerpig's own discord and a couple minutes of my own research) The tank Lazerpig keeps talking about as the "T-95" more fits the description of the Object 640 "Black Eagle." Come to think of it, he seems to have conflated both the "T-95" (Object 195, a 2000's project) and the "Black Eagle" (Object 640, the 90's project). The Object 195 doesn't have a bustle autoloader, and the Object 640 doesn't have the 30mm coaxial autocannon. The Russian V-series engines are not quite the same as the ones used on the BT-7/T-34/KV, but they do trace their roots from them (yes Russian engine technology is archaic, but not THAT archaic). And the lighter vehicles of Russia don't use V-series engines, since one can imagine how slapping one of those huge heavy fuckers onto a BMP is gonna hinder it. And no, a modern day Ford F9000 Emasculator doesn't come close to matching the torque of the T-90's V-series engine, let alone a Honda Leaf. What they will do, however, is blow the V-series out of the water in terms of power-to-weight ratio. Ural-vagon(basically say "wagon" but with an obnoxiously thick stereotypical German accent)-zavod And much like how the modern V-series engines are not quite the same as the 40's engines, the Armata's engine isn't quite the Sla 16 (and some in the Lazerpig discord even argues that the A-85-3A/2A12-3/12N360 engine of the Armata isn't even related to the Sla 16 in any way.). And no, the Sla 16 wasn't slated for the Porsche Tiger. It was tested on the Jagdtiger. As for the Porsche Tiger, ConeOfArc has a video explaining that it's not quite as bad as its reputation says it is. BMPs aren't built on a tank chassis and, as mentioned before, don't use a V-series engine. But the point made still stands, just to different vehicles (namely, the 2S19 Msta SPG [and its successor the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV] and the TOS-1 Buratino) "Smekalka", as I understand it, roughly means "innovative, in an eccentric, borderline malicious way." The Paper Skies video on Russian missiles hitting portable outdoor toilets explains it better than I possibly could. Funny how the Armata documentary jabs at the Abrams and Merkava for not having autoloaders, when they absolutely clapped hordes of Soviet-era tanks and other equipment. And forgetting Japan's Type 90 and Type 10 in the autoloader gang. Rifled tank guns having "greater accuracy over longer ranges" only really applies these days to regular HE and, in the case of the Bri'ish, HESH rounds. Fin-stabilized projectiles (APFSDS and HEAT) don't benefit from, and are sometimes even hindered by rifling. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1:07:59 That's the SLUFAE, a thermobaric-launching, mine-clearing MLRS (it failed because the thermobaric warheads cant reliably clear a large enough area of mines, so they had to be aimed too close together to clear a path through a minefield.) 1:37:20 The Su-75 "Femboy" designation actually sort of follows NATO reporting name conventions at surface level (NATO reporting names for fighters being words starting with F) and also mocks Russia's anti-gay stance.

> The tank Lazerpig keeps talking about as the "T-95" more fits the description of the Object 640 "Black Eagle." Wasn't Lazerpig's whole point that the "new T-95 prototype" Russia was rolling out in tech demonstrations in the 1990s was actually an old Object 640 hull made back in the Soviet days with a tarp over the turret, trying to sell the blatant lie that 90s Russia could still afford to build a functional tank prototype to both domestic and international audiences?
@boymahina123
@boymahina123 Год назад
@@martenkahr3365 The Object 195 (which is what is most often given the "T-95" moniker) postdates the 1990's and was a revival of an old 80's Soviet project. The Object 640 *_is the 1990's project mixed up with the "T-95"._*

The UTD-20 (That is У(ниверсальный) Т(анковый) Д(изельный) in Russian that literally translates as Universal Tank Diesel) is basically a lightened V2 (6 cylinders against 12 in original V-2) with slightly reworked combustion chamber and improved cylinder gear to improve reliability.

What amazes me about the engine the designers chose, is that they had a plethora of superior soviet engines that had been built and successfully field tested. Heres a list. 1: 2DG-8M diesel engine. 1,000 hp (750 kW) 2: M50T V12 diesel. 1,050 hp (780 kW) 3: 10-cylinder, four-stroke, DST-10 diesel engine with a supercharging compressor. 1000 hp 4:TD30 Diesel Engine (based off of the ACH-30 aircraft engine). An engine that at the time was built specifically to power the IS-7, and was very impressive. Able to make that 70 ton behemoth achieve 65km per hour. All of these different options could've easily made the T-14 reach speeds in excess of 70-80km per hour.

What I'm pretty sure happened is that the Russians in Syria were looking at the Israeli Merkava and basically said "yeah, we can build that." A lot of the things that they were trying to achieve with the Armata are characteristic of the Merkava line, only, they faceplanted on the delivery. For example: 1) The Merkava has a modular design that it shares with the Namer IFV, which is the most defended IFV on earth. The Namer weighs 65 tons and is basically a Merkava with the turret removed and up-armored (it's actually more defended than MBTs and has the Trophy APS). 2) Both tanks rely on an APS to combat ATGMs, only the Trophy is the best on earth (that is now installed on the Abrams and Leopard), while the Russian APS simply doesn't work. It is manual and has never been successfully deployed in combat, while the Trophy is so effective that some Merkava crews have come back to base, only to find charred remains of Kornet ATGMs on the outside of their tank--the tank itself killed the missile without them noticing. Unfortunately for Russia, while their APS doesn't work, it does have a massive electrical drain. This is a huge downside to all APS-enabled tanks, but they don't even get the positives. 3) Both have reinforced crew compartments with remote weapons. Only, the Merkava has backups in case their primary systems are disrupted, the crew compartment isn't sealed hydraulically (their hydraulics have actually been replaced with non-flammable alternatives) and has an emergency hatch in the back, and their remote weapons are significantly heavier (including a 50-cal, a machine gun, a mortar, and a 40mm grenade launcher). On paper, the two tanks share too many commonalities for it to be a coincidence. This is why a lot of the Armata's on-paper ideas are solid conceptually, but aren't backed up by solid engineering. They had their goal, but none of the underpinning understanding of just why those characteristics would be advantageous or how to implement them. It's deeply ironic, as the doctrinal needs of Russia and Israel are diametrically opposed. The IDF needs a super-heavy tank to operate at their borders, take out any threats it faces, and prevent their tankers from dying (ie. they have a tiny population, so losing experienced tankers would be FAR worse than losing tanks). This means that the high energy and fuel costs of the Merkava are irrelevant, as they aren't operating far outside their own supply lines. Conversely, Russia's tank doctrine is based in high volumes of disposable tanks, crewed by inexperienced tankers. They can easily replace tankers. Also, their tanks are being used offensively, outside their regular supply lines, and so the fact that their Armata needs so much fuel and support is crippling.
@theprogressivecynic2407
@theprogressivecynic2407 11 месяцев назад
Also, FYI, nobody is scared of Russia because of their decayed and rusted out conventional forces. They scariest thing about Russia is that their conventional forces are so weak that they may feel forced to resort to nukes. They have no other option. A bunch of their nukes likely do not work, but their shear quantity of older nukes is great enough that they could cause immense damage if only 25% of their nukes are fully active. PS. The Abrams X doesn't exist. It's a demonstration model that was intended to demonstrate potential advanced systems for an Abrams update. Basically, it was to show the military what to expect if they provide enough funding to fuel the program.

Something to understand about not wanting to provoke the Russians; it's not about how strong they are, it's actually about how weak they are. See the soviets were a legit superpower, they could exercise influence around the world through a variety of methods ranging from economic, espionage, military support (either in supplies or training/advice) and through providing an alternative to the west. The Russian federation can do none of this, but much of it's economy is dependent on on the influence the Soviets held, it's a massive raw materials exporter and that's really all it has, which means it *NEEDS* to be able to influence the world the way the soviets did to secure it's future survival, and it just CAN'T. Western military planners, strategists, economists, and intelligence analysts have known for decades that Russian threats were hollow, but they have one card in their back pocket that isn't hollow: Nukes. The reason we take russian threats seriously, even knowing that in a conventional fight we would annihilate them before our heavy hitting elements even had time to deploy, is that as soon as they realize we know that, they'll stop threatening us with shit that can't hurt us, and start threatening us with the one thing they have left that really can threaten not just us but the survival of the human species.

OK------. The Abrams with its 1,500-horse Turbin can actually do over 60 miles an hour if the engineer Overides the GOVERNOR.... But then bad things Can happen to the Tracks, torsion bars and Boogies if the Driver is not very very careful.

This would explain why Russia is taking so many casualties in this war. And this relates to another topic, if Russia’s military is in this much disarray, what are their veteran programs like? How does the average Russian soldier get help with PTSD? What happens to their families if they are killed in action? What happens if they get wounded and they can’t work? Our veteran aid programs (USA) definitely need improvement but I shudder to think what veteran aid in Russia is like if they even aid their veterans at all.😔

Today you don't even have to make videos to get clicks - all you have to do is to make "my reaction to "x-y-z" video". PS. That said < A > it's no " AR-MA-TA' " (no stressing on the last vocal) - it's "ARM-A' -TA" ...and < B > why so much drama about a "tank" that does not EVEN EXIST?? 🤣😂 When anyone sees it on the battlefield, please send me the video! 🤣

Regarding the Abrams, the M1E3 variant is currently in development and seems to be a more realistic alternative to the X. Either way, it's still better than the sh** show that is the T14.

i more or less agree with your idea for how to deal with toxic masculinity (the colosseum idea), and the CV90 is my favorite IFV too! Also in the USA's "Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle" program (which is the program to replace the Bradley) BAE systems (the maker of the CV90) is going to make a version of the CV90 to compete in the competition, i am betting on either that one or the Rheinmetal Lynx IFV for who i think the winners will be, both seem like great platforms (granted the BAE one has not been fully reveled yet so we will see), also the contract requires the ifv to be able to mount a 50mm Bushmaster Chaingun on the turret!

Slightly improved engine is a bit of an understatement but it is really funny. It has to be quite improved otherwise the service life on the latest russian tanks would be really small… though they already are. Some other things i would like to bring up, is that i feel like the west when it came to there response to Russian tanks wasnt laughing at the stupidity, as soviet tanks for a long period of time were very good. IS-3 story though heavily exaggerated with that fake propaganda story, did still make the west start hurrying to produce better Anti tank weapons, and again this happened with i believe T-55 with its armour being quite thick so once again West just made well, a better gun problem solved. T-64 was a step up though took a while to get properly good and reliable, but they did start falling behind after Leo 2 Abrams and other western tanks came into the picture.

@rameniachan6237 Everything I posted you can find on a Google search. None of its classified. The T-14 has been produced in low numbers and is still a prototype in testing. It also didn't introduce anything new in the world of Tanks. The T-14 is the combination of technology developed in the 1990s by Russia. Which makes it just another tank. Also there have been various reports both from Russia and China about the tank considering China was considering buying some of them at one point. So it's all publicly available information on both tanks.

The T-14 is the combination of technology developed in the 1990s by Russia. Which makes it just another tank." Damn I guess 25 is a low number huh? Anyway lets compare that number to something the USA also produced in low numbers; Specific version of the M113 which were expensive but good, Now why would a country with such good economy struggle to produce a few APCs with modern equipment? Oh that's right, because their banks are closing left and right. As it's been said before, you can speculate all you want about new tanks, and just like about last new chinese tank, (The type 90H I believe?) speculations were all wrong, the tank was found to be way stronger than the CIA said, as proof by the PRCs testing in 2021, the tank can withstand a modern uranium core APFSDS M1A2 SEP round, which even the M1A2 itself with Explosive reactive armor (URBAN SURVIVAL KIT) wouldn't survive. You're talking crap about obsolete equipment, yet why was ukraine the main user of that tank? Hm? Or the Outdated BTR-80A model IFV, why are they using 1991 tech? You seem to be forgetting that T-50s aren't going up against other tanks half the time, but rather against infantry waiting in bushes, in which case even the M1A3 SEP (Proposed model ofc) with (proposed) ERA armor plating wouldn't survive an ambush of 15-28 people waiting with 2-4 Anti tank launchers... It strikes me as rather dumb, unconsiderate, stupid and plain up weird you haven't noticed where the 10 british centurions in the Ukraine war went either, theres a video of a Russian Vatnik showing how the Centurion Mk. IV got penetrated by a round of high explosive, not via explosion but through the commander hatch into the tank and it exploded at the bottom of it, killing everyone inside. It also had a big hole after an APFSDS round went through the front (They must love making sure the tankers are dead :).) Oh yeah let's not mention that one battle where 10k+ Ukrainians lost to 3.5k Russians with no Air support or any form of armored vehicles, And they call themselves "SPARTANS" lol... (Same people who cowardishly deny genocide in Volhynia)

@rameniachan6237 Compared to the production runs of the M1A2 Abrams, Leppard 2A6 , Challenger 2, K-2 Black Panther, ect. Input tank from whatever modern country who uses tanks and has the capability to produce them . And you quickly see numbers like ... The U.S. Army is believed to have 2,509 Abrams in various versions, with an additional 3,700 in storage. More than 3,500 Leopard 2 tanks have been built since production began in 1978. Challenger 2 total production 446 ( which is low but not as low as the T-14 so far). K2 Black Panther 250 produced. 150 more planned totaling 410 K2 Black Panthers for the South Korean Defense Force aka Army. Additionally Poland has ordered 1,000 K2 Black Panther Tanks. So yes 25 tanks is an extremely low production number. And the reason has to do with corruption and stolen money ment for the production line. In other words the Russians are having to produce the T-14s by hand which takes much longer to produce. If Russia sent what they have of them to the front. The 25 T-14 Armatas would get overwhelmed and destroyed. The company that is producing it never anticipated that Russia would find itself in a war of the scale it has in Ukraine. The longer the war lasts the more it costs. And the more money gets diverted from producing new T-14 Armatas and to refurbishment of older tanks to fill the gaps. Because tank production for a new is expensive. Hence the reason the US and most of Nato have seen fit to just upgrade their tanks rather than building new models. Basically thanks to Putins eccentric personality and in ability to see the truth of the matter in front of his face. That Russia is losing this war. Nato has seen that Russian Bear and it turned out to be a Sloth bear masquerading as a Kamchatka brown bear. So Nato and the rest of Europe no longer fear Russia. And thus regardless of what Russia does short of starting a Nuclear war. They are going to lose this one and it's costing them too much in money and blood.

@@John2r1 You want to speak numbers but don't know how to; here let me show you; "believed to have" Is different from has, not to mention theres proof that they only have 1,550 M1A1 in storage and some 400~ M1A2 SEP tanks. Leopard 2 is mainly used by all of europe, you are adding numbers from about 15(ish) different countries to get that final equation... almost as if you're trying to drown out the fact that those will never be used all at once due to nature of conflict. The K2 black panther is a very good tank, althought you forgot one fact..... There's 5 types of the tank, all for different roles with different engines and years of production, still nothing compared to the Type 90H China has, The gun is simply underpowered at longer ranges. But oh silly me! That's just the MBT model, what about the Light model, IFV model, RKWK model? Oh right they all use the same gun just with a different round everytime, MBT uses APFSDS Tungsten core, while Light, IFV, RKWK all use HEATFS/HEFS, chemical rounds :)... Same chemical rounds that are shown to underperform even against infantry, because of explosive material used. Russia isn't losing the war seeing as Ukraine is on its 17th recruitment wave from ages 15-70 again, Aswell as the fact that some 50k~ Ukrainian soldiers magically stopped responding 5 days after arriving to the front. It's costing them??? Dude like did you read their GDP status by increase lately??? +30% slope increase in the past 3 months... Russian ruble barely moved in value for 1-2 months then went back up to 0.017 PLN each (Measuring In Polish money because that's where I am from). Not to mention the Ukrainian Lira is worth 10x less but it's a different money system, like how ruble is 10-25-50-100-200-250-500, Ukrainian lira is 1-2-5-10-20-50-100-200, meaning it's actually more worthless than Turkish Lira. Not to mention what happened in 2014, originally provoking the war *cough cough* Burning alive ethnic Russians in 2012-2015 *cough cough cough*, Almost as if the ukrainians are only good at creating conflict - not solving it lol, Just look at Volhynia Massacre, 351-357 different cruel ways to kill Polish, Jewish, Russian, And hell even other (eastern) Ukrainian people... some 100k-300k people died and yet you're still supporting that nation, Love it.

@rameniachan6237 Decently well until Russian supply got its head out of its 4th point of contact. Of course considering their now pulling T54/55s , T62s ,T72s and T80s out of storage. The decades of corruption has done a heavy toll on Russian logistics and their stockpile. Basically due to decades of corruption and illegally selling off equipment to arms dealers. The Russian stockpile is very low. Much lower than Putin expected. Considering how much money he through into the Russian military. Which ended up being pocketed by officers instead of spent on what it was supposed to be. Ukraine doesn't have the same problem since Nato and the European Union is giving Ukraine supplies to keep Russia off their doorstep.

To sum it up simply this. Just watch the Red Effect response video chill and respectful will correcting everything. Basically Pig is wrong about pretty much everything. Pig response with a false sense of trust and good will towards Red. Makes a response video towards Red smears him and talks more about the Tank. Red makes another response video still respectful but shows not only he's wrong still about the matter but also how dishonest of a character he was, politically motived which on this matter he was and was never going to be fair about this, show he's no expert not just on this topic but without even trying showed everyone how much of a fraud the Pig actually is. As in his whole reputation regardless if his fan based is aware of it or if the Pig himself is aware is over and we're only waiting at this point before it's finalize. Pig makes a weak video that is cope to cover for how he shamefully acted the whole way through and is wishing this to be the end of it. You don't need to be a fan or a supporter of one's cause to just objectively see this reality. Just simply watch the drama videos and do a comparison and you will be force to agree with this.
