The eye poke was bad no doubt but honestly the worst thing to happen to DC was when get got rocked. The way he got up was pretty rough to watch. The guy was tough enough to fight 3 more rounds, but that really messed him up.

I think the difference that gives Stipe a small edge against Cormier is that he´s a natural heavyweight. He´s a bigger guy, bigger head, hands, more height and leverage etc. You can see how easy he controls DC, a world class wrestler in the clinch. It´s not because he´s a "better" wrestler than DC, he´s just bigger and more powerful. This mean he´s got more power in his hands and he´s got a big head that can absorb alot of punches. Yes, you can overcome size with skill, but at this level, everyone has skills, so the size advantage here makes the difference in my opinion.

I got a TINY eye poke in pre season baskeball - was in the ER all night - misery - "in playing defense a dude's finger pushed my eye further back into the socket." He was trying to block a shot he had no chance to block. He knew it was already outta my hands (jumper) and he still came right for the Iris. But it went in (the ball) - and it woulda been a three point play under game circumstance. That's all that matters - the ball going in. .

If Stipe manages to beat Ngaunou's again then he's without a doubt the GOAT heavyweight. I have trouble believing that he will though. DC stunned him a few times in that trilogy. His chin is fantastic, but I don't know if it can take another Francis fight. All Francis has to do is work on his take down defense and cardio and he could flatline Stipe.

The UFC doesn't deliver on these fights when they have a chance. GSP vs Anderson, would of been another one. Let these fights happen. Francis can wait a bit longer, or he gets the winner. Khabib vs Usman, Masvidal, or Covington would be another one I'd love to see.

DC’s legacy is 2nd place. Unfortunate but true had some big moments but he will forever just be remembered as the one who couldnt be number 1. Overall amazing career though one of the best to ever do it, if he started his career earlier he may just be the best to ever do it but alas Jon & Stipe

The Referee officially apologized to Cormier and his team for missing the eye poke. Dc should take this to the Higher-ups and get this lost overturned to a no contest. The fight should have Been stopped, I know stipe was poked in the eye as well but all eye pokes are not created equal. The man's eye was shut closed he could not see at all due to an illegal eye poke.

DC didn't use his wrestling, didn't take him down, didn't really try to, and that was his downfall. He's a good striker, but he can't fall in love with his hands Stipe has a massive reach advantage and is slightly better standing up DC didn't use all the tools and that was the critical difference. He played Stipe's game and lost

I have been one of the biggest critics of DC for the eye pokes in the previous fights. But now he got poked in the 3rd right pretty badly. IT IS EVEN NOW. I will no longer criticize him for the eye pokes. The issue has been resolved. Which I’m glad. I want to like DC. Now I can.

Not a fan of the commentary during the Chito vs o'malley fight. If they'd stop drooling all over O'malley, they'd have noticed Chito's kick causing all the damage. soon as it landed O'malley switched stances and put all weight on the front foot, and rolling his ankle seconds later

honestly it's unfortunate Sean rolled his ankle when he feinted. Who knows what would've happened if he didn't injure himself. Maybe he still would've lost or maybe win by knockout but we can all agree chito vera had a huge advantage after that. Props to Vera regardless of the unfortunate injury. Vera did what he had to do and it wasn't his fault Sean injured himself

DC poked stipes eye; Stipe poked DCs brain. Credit to Stipe tho, he won fair and square. DC has already cemented his legacy as top 3/ top 5 all time. If you make the list all natural, the right way, without any cheating steroid enhancements, he's top 3. Even if you include steroids he's top 5. Legend. One of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time.
