Lots of people became healthy on a long term carnivore diet, lots of people became healthy on a long term vegan whole food diet. Whats the common denominator? They all cut out refined sugar.

@@wednesdayschild3627 your gut is an ecosystem of its own, and it is not the same as others. Cardialogists aren't nutrition experts nor I think they spend a huge amount in time on it. Their knowledge on it I think comes from their own interest and research. The best way for you to to get closer to the right diet for you, is eliminations of the things you know are bad and cause inflammation, and continuous blood work to compare (possibly with the help of a dietitian), reduce body weight (as you don't want to stress your heart out). On top of that you then add the type of cardiovascular workouts that help improve your heart without stressing it too much.

there will never be one because its 1. more lucrative for the diet industry to lead us in circles about this issue and 2. The truth: there is no one real right answer because there are specific people who can eat meat, and others would be better off without it. 3. If you study the people who live over 100 years old, alot of times they are eating crap, but, have great social stills, small portions or other things that keep them happy and that has a definate impact on healthy life.

So I went from vegan a couple years ago to paleo in spring of 2022. I felt ok on the vegan "diet", but now that 95% of my diet is natural foods, not grains, not pea protein, I feel fantastic. My psoriasis has cleared up, I have more energy, etc. I have a really simple solution for everyone out there. Ask your parents what your grandparents ate. I sat down with my mom the other night, and she told me. The only processed food my mother's parents ever ate, was oatmeal and cream of wheat, which my grandmother ate. They grew up during the depression. My grandparents, my mom's side, lived into their mid '80's. My dad's parents were both passed on by the time they were my age, I'm 54. My mom told me they ate 3 meals a day, they cooked everyday, no dessert, no candy in the house, no sugary cereal, just shredded wheat biscuit. They ate hamburgers, chicken, eggs and bacon, steak(cheap steak). My grandfather, never allowed any of the processed crap in his house. And this was back in the '30's thru the 90's. What killed him was his smoking, when he got cancer, he was 83 years old. And he still lived for a couple of years. Real simple.

honestly, whilst processed meats CAN be somewhat dodgy... even those "cautions" are often overblown/nonsensical. A lot of the time, these come from associational epidemiology/food questionaire data... robb wolf and similar have broken many of those down... some of them for example count an entire 2000 calorie pizza with ham on it as "processed meat"... these types of studies/epidemiology is pretty worthless in the vast majority of cases

As a vegan, I actually liked a lot of what she had to say. There's a reason why most of the big vegan health advocates now draw a distinction between a 'vegan' diet, and a vegan 'whole foods, plant based diet', and that reason is a lot of what they were talking about. Coca cola is vegan. Oreo cookies are vegan. Pasta, bread, and other high glycemic index foods can all be made vegan, but that doesn't mean they are automatically good for you because they don't contain animal products. There is a lot of heavily processed vegan crap food out there, so just going vegan is not enough to make you healthy. For that, you have to acquire the taste for vegetables, and make them the bulk of your diet. Whether you are vegan, paleo, keto, or whatever else, that seems to be the common factor in being healthy- eat your veggies, and lay off the processed crap. Maybe exercise a little too.

But, throughout human history, animal products have for the most part been a crucial part of the human diet throughout ones life, variously. Case by case basis, as to optimization factors. Another big thing, is that many people tend to eat more than they should, and that goes for vegans also. Over consumption of starch foods is the biggest causation of diseasements, including the common cold. Know thy lymph, know thy joints (even peanuts are bad from my experience), know what 'Body Integrity' is,… as distinct from 'health'.

Yes starches are cheap and readily storeable, and have been highly important in the making of modern societies over the past 10K + years, but, starches readily gunk up the body, i.e. gunk up the lymph, gunk up the joints,…. I know this very well, and so, I find it best I minimize starches, typically infrequently consumed. If/when I do eat starches I find it best for the starches to be wet, not dry, and very well cooked, especially grain starches, for my best body integrity. I know this very well by results with my body. Do you get sick? I don't get sick,… or not significantly in the rare instances I do. Although quality beer, basic quality beer, is excellent for my health. How are your joints? Any 'nodules/cyst' type thinks developing in your body. Btw, low grade / CAFO animal foods can also be problematic. Quality fruits, dairy, beer, eggs, greens, meat/flesh, usually work great for me. @@aaronpannell6401

LDL isn't the problem. High fasting insulin caused by to many carbs in an insulin resistant person leads to inflammation. Inflammation in the arteries lead to lesions which the body tries to repair by plastering over with cholesterol. The process is much more complicated but that is the quick and dirty explanation. Your triglyceride / HDL ratio is much more important than your LDL level in predicting cardio events. Under 2 is good. 2-4 is high, and over 4 is very high risk. A low ratio is also predictive of having more large fluffy particles instead of small dense LDL.

That should tighten up your stools very well, and still keep stools coming out, not constipated, nor mush. The balance. Try going 16 hours straight without any food, just water or minimally of other wholesome beverage which isn't especially sweet, some beer for example, or a broth of some sort.

Food combination is paramount for proper digestion ! Meat and potatoes is a deadly combination- meat and green vegetables is a good combo- the fiber of the veg balances out the meat, starch and veg is balanced , eating less volume and fewer types of foods at a time. If you are craving something it is for a reason- your body is talking to you. Too much meat will cause you to crave sugar- sugar and protein balance each other in your metabolism. Meat is hard to digest so the craving for sugar is your bodies response to needing extra energy needed to digest the meat!!! Eating whole grains is more filling and calms the nerves because of the B vitamins in whole grains, refined grains will cause stress mentally and psychologically. Look at your bodies function!!!

I think the doctor wasnt correct sbout vegan person eating cookies etc. I think wether u r on a vegan diet or SAD, if u consume lots of refined carbs, the percentage of your LDL that is glycated will be high, although the numbers may be higher for SAD. If u eat healthy, most of your LDLs will be normal. If u r on a statin, but on a SAD, your LDLs (normal ones) are taken up by the liver more quickly (inc receptors), but your glycated LDLs will not be recognized, and cause clot cascade. My argument is that if u eat tons of carbs on any diet u r equally as screwed.

Sorry, red meat and risk of cancer is proven, and has been for decades. However, only IF the meat is prepared over high heat, or low heat for a long time; meat cooked to the point of browning (Maillard reaction) for that delicious golden brown crust, or black grill/barbecue marks are protein to have high levels of carcinogenic compounds called *heterocyclic amines (HCA)* and *polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH).* These are proven to be mutagenic to animal cells and DNA. It's a damn shame since I love pan fried golden brown crusts on meat. It's also a shame because red meat is so important for animal fat, protein, iron, cholesterol, vitamins a, d, e, k, and especially B12. The solutions then, to reduce formation of HCAs and PAHs, are to marinate the meats with certain ingredients (effectively protecting against HCA formation at high temperatures) or avoid cooking meats at high temperatures. Also avoid processed meats, i.e., smoked, cured. I'm on the same journey as well right now to finding ways to have delicious and nutritionally important red meat in my diet, without the cancer and neurodegeneration caused by HCAs.
@Un1234l
@Un1234l 5 лет назад
@William Fox According to the ongoing research over the decades, it's a very significant carcinogenic risk. Actual estimates vary, so you should look up the statistics yourself. One source cites 1.18 times increased risk of developing bowel cancer per 50 grams of processed red meat consumed per day. In any case, the World Health Organization classifies processed red meats as Class 1 Carcinogens, meaning there's strong evidence they cause cancer. Unprocessed red meats are classed as Class 2A Carcinogens meaning they probably cause cancer, and that varies depending on cooking methods.
@Teo_live
@Teo_live 5 лет назад
@@Un1234l class 2A also means said antagonistic evidence against the product may have potential bias upon further scrutiny. I think you're attributing far too much power to such a small minority of people. The Random Tube red meat is class 2 carcinogenic. Not the same as processed meats. Don’t get offended by the facts. WHO reviewed thousands of studies with experts from multiple countries with no bias involved. This information is legit whether you know how to do the research or not.

The Random Tube well sir you can review the literature yourself at nutritionfacts.org Go to the “sources” tab on each video topic and it’s all there for free ✌️

Processed meat is categorized as Class 1 carcinogen by IARC, the most prestigious world health organization on cancer research. The same group as asbestos, arsenic and tobacco. Go and check it to yourself: monographs.iarc.fr/ENG/Classification/index.php Just type: "meat" in the search fireld
