Douglas Murray is a political commentator, journalist, and author of numerous books, the most recent of which is "The War on the West: How to Prevail in the Age of Unreason."
Douglas murray supports Israel's genocide. You support a genocider. Your taxpayer dollars go to support Netanyahoo who has killed two of his own hostages who were waving white flags of surrender. Israel isn't killing soldiers. They aren't killing EVERYONE IN FRONT OF THEM. Go google how many Refugee camps Netanyahoo has bombed.
Douglas Murray is the perfect Rogan guest. Intellectual, yet down to earth. Doesn't suck up to Joe, yet isn't weird or confrontational about it. Has his own input to the conversation, yet isn't overbearing. 10/10 would like to see him again.
@@grossindecencyWell, judging by her name I assume she is the member of the "peaceful religion community", therefore don't expect any arguments or reasoning behind her words my brother. She is indoctrinated, full of hate and has PhD in Victimhood studies 😉

This is an old one but I watched it again for the refreshing dose of sense that Douglas brings to everything he talks about. Please JOE...PLEASE...have him on again - especially with everything that's going on in the UK right now.
@@Handlebar-MustDash Christopher Hitchens was an international treasure as well. I’ve very much enjoyed both of their contributions over the years. I wish Hitchens was still with us. He predicted to much of the world we live in now.

@@MandalorianMedic I completely agree about Christopher. Hitchens could debate and back up his views on any Topic even though his support for the Iraq war was the most heavily questioned issue for him. Murray however debates from a point of stubbornness failing to address the imbalance in deaths currently happening in Gaza and Palestine as a whole. Christopher would have had a nuanced debate about this current crisis and would never defend a position he knew was wrong. Murray will quote his potted history of the State of Israel by cherry-picking bits and pieces with zero reference to the Palestinian position. He invokes arguments easily destroyed by anyone fully understanding the history of the area. He completely ignores the fact that it was a stated aim of Zionists back in 1948 to rid the territory of Palestinians - from the river to the sea, these are matters of documented history. Hitch could seem arrogant, but only when he was speaking the truth, Murray is arrogant whilst telling lies or at the very least, lies by omission. Even though Christopher argued that Islam was a death cult, he never lost sight of the injustices perpetrated by Israel on Palestine and he would have been extremely vocal in his condemnation of the Zionist cause at this moment in history. 2 very different characters.
@@Handlebar-MustDashYour estimation of Douglas seems very personal. It sounds as though your criticism comes from the fact that he openly supports Israel .
@@carmenmccauley585he didn’t say this was a debate. Although I see why you would infer so, he didn’t. Douglass Murray is a great debater and even though what he is doing here is one house over in the same neighborhood, it is relevant given the nature of this interview. Otherwise, how are you buddy?
Every American should read The War on the West. Douglas Murray is one of my most admired intellectuals. Thank you for hosting him. Finally some stimulating conversation.
"our " who is "our ?" Englands? as most people in the UK now loath him, after he simped for Israel to the point that he compared what Israel is doing to that which England did in WW2 . Bitter little home Oh
I love Douglas but that’s not new. Maybe it is in the UK. It’s a pretty common assessment of the crazy left in the US. There is a significant supply & demand deficiency on the left - Insert Facism, racism, sexism etc… That’s why they see Nazi’s in their Cheerios.
Scroll through the comment section of a Matt Walsh video and you'll be shocked how many people are straight up racist. I suppose some are online trolls etc. but still racism is alive and well imo. It's just annoying what peoples standards are for racism and how everyone needs to tread so carefully around something as simple as cultural differences. Makes it actually harder to spot the real racism lol.
It’s so sad & hysterically true, perhaps when everybody realises that the moment we stop (talking)about racism, racism will no longer be such a bone of contention! And from that moment on, we all realise nobody except the total twots! Give a flying fuurrkk about colour! So simple! Sadly, that makes it an ideology🥺
It’s so refreshing to watch an interview where D. Murray is able to be his eloquent self, sharing his incredible knowledge while getting to LAUGH instead of having to constantly SPAR and avoid a barrage of straw-man barbs

Yeah, thought it was new. Was hoping for some discussion of Ukraine and particularly Gaza/Israel, where there likely would have been some useful disagreement.
Joni Mitchell and Neil Young DEMANDING, not boycotting, but demanding Joe be removed from Spotify, was my turning point. As a lifelong Hippie, the idea that they would push for closing down free speech, and in such an ugly way, broke my heart.
As John Lydon said….. Never trust a Hippy…. Hippy’s discovered that if they had the right drugs and signalled the right virtues and faked sincerity and authenticity - and they could rob you before you noticed……… and now they run governments throughout the western world! All because enough people trusted them. When will we learn.
It's really cool to see Douglas Murray not needing to be serious and just relax for a bit. Every time you see him on a show he's the one sane person in a pit of snakes, so he's on guard for the whole appearance. It's cool to see him sit back and laugh.

Please have Douglas back! We need him now and more people need to hear him! Great conversation guys, one of the best. Was surprised to see Murray was on here and very pleasantly surprised how friendly you two are together
Okay, Douglas is one of my favorite people now. He is honest and articulate and doesn't mince words or pander to those less intelligent or more emotional. And I love his dry British humour. He does not gaf.
@@ki1631 Douglas broke the glass in that debate, he was honest, he knew his shit and what I saw was him and Natasha Hausdorff, speaking whole heartedly fighting what seems like an impossible fight that has half the world off the mark and seething with hate towards one group of people. Your take on this event is a damn shame. To say Douglas was not articulate is as disingenuous as the people he was debating. Its wild that is your take away... 🤦♀
Ive always like Douglas MUrray....but after seeing him here chatting with Joe in a relaxed setting ...i like him even more....have never seen or heard him laugh,,,lovely to see the lighter side of him....very handsome guy as well....clearly takes care of himself......I really need to learn to be as disciplined as these two men....fab Show !
Despite all of its faults, we really have to stop and appreciate that the internet has made listening to over 3 hours of conversation between Joe Rogan and Douglas Murray not just possible, but free. Douglas Murray's intellect is lethal, but what sets him apart is his wonderfully dry sense of humour.
I want to be frank: D Murray is one of few that restores my trust in man's capacity to think, analyze and draw conclusions. In a v-e-r-y sick world, he is sound and healthy. (Numerous brain cells is good, but not all can make them connect in the right pattern to often. As it seems.)
He's awesome on everything except Isreal and Ukraine, which is how I know he's getting paid behind the scenes. Nobody as smart as Douglas could possibly be that uninformed....
@@mistymeaner1753 Yep he is almost the last bastion in rationality. DM was the person who set me straight over Israel and Hamas. In the UK I am still gobsmacked that as a nation we allowed thousands of vile brain dead people take to the streets calling for a Holocaust in Israel on the very day we celebrate the end of WWII where we ended a Holocaust in Europe. I thought that was part of our national identity, how proud we are at stopping Hitler killing millions more Jews. Now this nonsense has dominated our landscape for too long. I don't think people really understand what they are supporting. But yeah, DM is an interesting chap to listen too.
I enjoyed watching D.M.laughing, genuinely. Thank you Joe for interviewing Douglas. He should be considered a international treasure. He says how it is, and we are losing brave people.
@tylerwilliams7490 Rupert murdoch doesn't have a hand in half the crap he owns, you thinking this is some conspiracy nonsense tells us all we n3ed to know
Douglas Murray is a national treasure. Brilliant wit and intellect. One of the greatest minds and fiercest debaters of modern time. I just bought tix to his LA show in sept! Cannot wait! ❤🎉🔥
I love watching the old reels of Douglas Murray 10/11/12 years a go, he is pretty angry. Still contained and polite, but you can tell there's a lot going on under the surface! I love listening to his audiobooks, because he brings his own words alive. Me, I listen to audiobooks non-stop.
@@RodHartzell Even though I enjoyed listening to C.Hitchens though one of his strategies was to "win by condescension" and he got away with it because he was brilliantly witty and eloquent while doing it. His brother on the other hand attempts the same strategy but with less wit and less eloquence. I like that D.Murray doesn't do that.
@@Humanaut. I'm not sure I entirely agree with you on that. He would ridicule atrocious logic and ideas, which, more than likely deserved ridicule. I think there is a difference between condescension and ridicule. If you make an assertion that is positively unsupported by reality you would get the full take down. Although I do agree with you that Murray does seem to restrain himself from this form of rhetoric.
Douglas Murray is the prime minister we Brits wish we had. If he ever decided to stand he would win he is loved respected and is one hell of insightful man. He doesn't shout or scream he talks calmly and makes his point and watching him talk to others who are silenced by him and the truth is a treat.
'We Brits' - Wow, you speak for us ALL with one voice. You are hilarious 😂😂😂. Guessing you would have offered the same view on Jacob Rees-Mogg prior to his Portillo moment losing his seat in Parliament. I love the permanence of the internet 😂.
I watch documentaries with my daughter on WW2, documentaries on Hitler & now we are leaning about Stalin. My daughter's reaction was "We don't learn any of this in school". My daughter loves watching Ben Shapiro as well! Also we talk about slavery around the world not just in America. She is now going in to grade 4. I do not trust the school system.
@@julieh65 ❤️ the ideology that they are teaching in school right now it's disgusting....not allowed to mention Jesus name but you can talk about different types of lifestyles & display rainbow flags all around an elementary school is total indoctrination & read a pride poem on the intercom during the mo the of June but not read a poem for our soldiers on Rememberance day
Yeah i am from the Netherlands and we were a great contributor to slavetrade and i am in no way telling slavetrade isn´t bad, but what people don´t tell who really controlled this trade were these were african sellers off the coast who sold those people, the ships didn´t go in africa capturing black people. And people forget when they bought a slave it was already an investment they were paid for so they were treated as so, when making they voyage to america. More so than white sailors because when they died they didn't have to pay them anymore but get my drift there were more deads among whites then blacks on these ships so when looking at a film like amistad it isn't really black and white. People need to understand its not that simple. And i can tell you a lot more lets say an african tribe plundered and ransacked a village, what to do with the people of the village it would be killing all the men because taking them capture needs feeding them and children could go grow up to take revenge, the woman who might be weaker would be raped and enslaved or also killed but now they could sell them and be rid of them. Offcourse this option spiked the ransacking and plundering by these africans. But these are subjects not really taught at schools but it is all documented pretty well. People should also teach about the abolishment of child labour in our countries which came even after the abolishment of slavery in my country just to put history in perspective. If we talk about 200 years ago do you understand that people were decapitated, hanged or whatever on village squares and it would be a family thing just like going to the carnaval. The thing is if we talk about history maybe really understand history and what motivated people and learn from it. You can't talk about same rights if you don;t even understand were these rights came from they didn't just poofed up. The same with looking at other countries and your own when you are saying banning tiktok etc.. is against China why not adress the banning of google, youtube etc.. and even Tiktok in China. What is diversity when we should be standing for unity amongst eachother.
I usually whatch his debates, read his books...the reason why I am delighted to see the fun side of him.I am now even a bigger fan of Douglass!@@JohnHerzfeld-on3og
@@JohnHerzfeld-on3og I have! He's as sharp as a knew knife, but whatching him layed back like this was a breath of fresh air.I was Abit disappointed when I learned that it wasn't a new interview though....lots have happened since this particular one
@@JohnHerzfeld-on3og Let's see him actually debate REAL public intellectual. He lies about Palestine/Israel nonstop and is platformed on Murdochs sky news regularly, which says it all really.
Douglas Murray is a national treasure…… who is respected and loved by many people across the globe. A true brave patriot……. How refreshing it would be to see him in the House of Commons 👌🇬🇧👍💪🇬🇧🙏🇬🇧❤️
1:27:01 It's ridiculous the whole Western approach to slavery in the past. I come from Bulgaria, an Eastern European country. We, Bulgarians have been enslaved for 500 years by the Ottoman Empire... I'll repeat... We've been slaves for 500 years to the Ottoman empire, which is more than the entire 246 of American history. We don't sit around nowadays feeling sorry for ourselves, being victims to the past, we can't change. We just get on with our lives, appreciating the opportunities, we've got in the present and thinking about our future. And we love to go on holidays in Turkey, we love the culture, their food and we're good neighbouring counties. Just stop playing victims, and get on with your lives. But probably this is not the right place for this comment. I'd assume most people listening to Joe Rogan are not from that self-pitting community.
Oh my goodness, I love love love this man thank you so much for sitting down and talking with him and like you. I will get his audiobook as I also love his voice. Thank you again.
The only time I don't miss Christopher Hitchens is when I'm listening to Douglas Murray ❤ he's like a character from Brideshead Revisited who wandered into the 21st century and found it lacking .... public intellectual par excellence! Thanks for this!
Really enjoyed hearing Douglas just have a relaxed chat with you Joe.I am a Australian and I am disabled and need a lot of my joints replaced along with quite a few co morbidities, but I have to say I am always happy when people succeed. Having been sick since I was a young child and what I imagined for my future which couldn’t be accomplished due to my illnesses, has never taken away my excitement for others and never will, as that would be a very sad world. But sadly the tall poppy syndrome really exist with some people …
2 smart blokes that respect eachother and form a warm discussion. Douglas is a brave and a principled intellectual who is intelligent, honest and factual. Enlightened by you both.
When Joe warms up and starts talking about equality of outcome. His energy is so powerful I felt like I had just had a shot of espresso. Terrific breakdown of the mindset and the flaws in the (deraged) idea.
