Standard of living has been falling in the West since the early to mid 70's. We are definitely not better off. Few people died from drugs in the 70's and mass shootings were almost non existent.

Regarding 9-11 as a unifying event, there are questions to ask here: Who benefited from that unification (and thus almost unquestioned support for military action), and who paid the cost for the implied benefit? She went back to her room in Nashville cried a lil, and wrote her solo Grammy winning album, on her IPAD, and that night...she wrote " ALL ABOUT THAT BASS" . It now has well over a billion hits. On RU-vid.. and it made it to the top by 100% grass roots, no executive push at all. The real secret of all, is the world is like being run by Record Company Exec's...same people...1000's of Phil Spektors all over... Just to be clear, a staff songwriter who's paid a salary is not entitled to songwriting royalties. It's considered a "work for hire" under us copyright law. But the music biz is set up and run like a mafia. Read the Tommy James book. Sometimes it's the actual mafia. Look up Roulette Records.

I held my breath for 3 mins 16 secs (3:16) recently. I had to deeply concentrate on relaxing. Moderate exertion and I'm only good for a solid minute. Maybe because I know I have a ways to go, and I can't ignore the urge to catch my breath. I need more practice.
