I served for 11 years. Had some mental issues, and body pain after. Gain a bunch of weight. A Vet friend of mine told me about it's benefits for him. I had never used. I wasn't against it. Just wasn't for me. I didn't get high until I was 29. But I tried it. I felt less pain, was in a better mood. And as a result, I could exercise again. I've lost 80 lbs while on cannibus. Maybe it does have its down falls. But I figured, my brain stopped developing. So it was ok to smoke or eat. I've had great results. But that's just me. In moderation. Cheers.
I have a friend who was in a terrible motorcycle accident and taking marijuana recreationally helped with his recovery. The funny thing is, he doesn't take marijuana recreationally anymore because he says "he doesnt need it anymore". He continues to ride a motorcycle to and from work and works as a waiter. To each their own.
yes it is extremely beneficial for a lot of people. the fact that this is being debated is nuts. I've been stuck on all the crazy prescription drugs against my will so early on thanks to my own parents. They rather me be on life destroying painkillers than use weed. They still would rather that even to this day. I'm only alive today because of weed. and it has always made me a kinder more sensitive, thoughtful, and aware person.. etc.
This dude’s super anti-thc, but doesn’t seem to be truly interested in furthering the research and development of it in order to eliminate some of the negatives.

I have severe Crohn's disease. Five surgeries. I do not take any opioid pain medication. I'm on high doses of CBD and puff on the vaporizer. Nothing works better. Even works on my psoriatic arthritis
I suffer from crohns as well, how much of a benefit have you had with CBD? Can you be more specific? Just intrested because like most sufferers I'm always searching for help to ease symptoms.
My mother in law is a double amputee who was in tears when I introduced her to CBD because it finally dealt with pains (phantom pains particularly) that opioids et all didn't help with, but it was all her doctor would prescribe her. She couldn't believe that a simple puff/spray of a CBD concentrate just made them vanish....literally crying over finally finding relief, and the anger of being in needless pain for so long....

They have been tirelessly trying to prove it's danger since it was made illegal in 1937...All that they could come up with , is the absolute bullshit that "It may lead to harder drugs"...That should tell anyone who isn't mentally deficient, that it's the safest and most beneficial drug that has been kept, by law, from people.

My father suffered from epilepsy. Because of weed it gave me a few more years with him. He would have seizures every time he didn't have it for awhile. One he smoked daily they slowed way down to almost 1-2 episodes a year.
Alright I have Crohns . Ive tried all cannabinoids, and full spectrum works best .. And I use oil and smoke all day and I am healthier than I have ever been ...some people dont get high after receptors are full
I have used ever epilepsy med on market, nothing worked, smoke weed and it helps. But no its not medicine because idiots don't know science and wanna act like they know what's best for everyone else. Yes people with mental illness shouldn't use it if it hurts them or makes it worse. Thats not because weed is bad, thats because their brain is bad. Same with sugar caffeine etc etc etc
Everyone I know has had panic attacks on pot. I personally smoke the tiniest bit at first, and slowly warm myself up to it. I can’t believe that people can smoke a joint of this stuff, it’s way too strong, and not that fun. I still want to be myself, just see things from a different perspective.
I'm doing just FINE with legalization and my weed intake. I live in Northern Canada where it's BRUTALLY cold. It's very difficult to get out and do simple, normal stuff that you guys (where it's warm all the time and don't have to deal with 6 feet of snow) take for granted. For example, right now where I am, it's minus 21 C with minus 37 C windchill, and there's a SHIT-TON of snow everywhere. What can you do? WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO?! Smoke weed! Or do harder drugs that kill you? Or drink alcohol? GTFO HERE, ya alcoholic POS! I hate alcohol. That's much worse than weed ANY DAY! And pharmaceuticals are REALLY bad too (when they're abused I mean). Sure, it's not for everyone (weed), but where I live, it helps a lot. So a BIG thank-you to my wonderful, beautiful (but very cold) country, Canada. God Bless this beautiful nation. ♥

Marijuana helped me so much during Opioid withdrawal. Opioid withdrawal is an absolute nightmare. But with the help of Marijuana it eased the pain through the first week or two. I hadn't used Marijuana in years and dont now. But during that time it worked wonders.
Wow this is a insane to see because I have actually been wondering about this although I have never been on opoids I always felt like it could break the cycel
Yes, we have. There is NO debate that it has medical efficacy. The only debate left is exactly which conditions it truly helps, outside of placebo effect.
@@tarantulady8565 the real debate is what are the consequences of smoking weed on a daily basis. As someone who's done it for a long time and have quit a few times, I can attest to it having some downsides. I still think it's healthier than most things, but not exactly consequence free like people pretend it is.
Mikee95 I’m a daily smoker. A wake-n-bake type, if you like, and have been for 20+ years. I agree with you that there are some downside side effects, HOWEVER, for anyone who truly has chronic pain (I do), those side effects are nothing compared to going without. I didn’t start smoking until I was 23, and that was only occasionally. I didn’t start smoking a lot until I was 27. I also use CBD drops & wild lettuce tincture. Together, it all helps, naturally. No big pharma. I quit for 6 months, once, when I was 35. I think I did it just to prove to myself that I could. After a week, or so, I didn’t miss it. (EDIT to add: I didn’t miss it for appetite stimulation, nor for the calming effects, but I did miss the pain relief, and took OTC stuff with less efficacy. I took OTC sleep aids while I was off MJ.) I’m actually pretty productive for a consta-smoker. I don’t have any issues with constant use, mostly because I use sativas during the day & some of them create a euphoria & excitement towards completing creative ideas you have. I build out-buildings on my farm, mow the grass, plow snow, etc. - on sativas. Whereas, indicas...in-da-couch.😴😴😴 Which is my other problem...insomnia. 🙄
I tried Nabilone before any proscribed cannabis. It made me nauseous so I went for the real deal. Wouldn't there have been a massive increase in violence in Canada after legalizing?
The anti Cannabis guy seems close minded. I realize this is a short clip, but that’s the feeling I get from him. I know from personal experience that Cannabis is not the most effective option for some ailments, but it definitely is the safest. I was prescribed opiates for ten years. I had used weed for recreational use in the past but stopped because I grew up lol. My significant other said to me I want you off of the opiates they are changing who you are and she suggested trying Cannabis. After some research we started trying it. I am opiate free now. It was extremely hard to stop doctors wanted to prescribe methadone and I refused. No point in trading one opiate for another. I used high doses of thc and really high doses of cbd a ratio of 2:1 for 2 months without using opiates during that time. Then as the opiate withdrawals subsided so did my Cannabis use with no feeling of I need to use Cannabis like I had with the opiates. Now I use Cannabis when I can’t handle the pain anymore. I take 2 extra strength ibuprofen 3 times daily and eat Cannabis every second or third day to sleep because if I didn’t use it I would go days upon days without getting a decent night sleep. Which is 4 hours. In conclusion I have to say that the addictivness of Cannabis is very low if at all.
How was he close minded? The guy on right wasn't saying weed doesn't help anyone, just that there isn't enough research to back up the claim that THC is more medicine than recreation. It seemed to me that if there were research to prove it this guy would be ok with it. Close minded people are the ones that deny CBD has medicinal benefits, which this guy didnt do.
eatwatukill lol taking ibuprofen that often will have rly bad health effects on you.... that shit is so bad on your liver. Stop taking it and find something else.
Unless it triggers a break in your mind and you lose yourself, you can't even be honest with yourself and admit you don't care about the negatives weed has on a percentage of the population because you don't have any problems
I've got PTSD, among other things, I dealt with major rage issues for years before I starting regularly smoking quality weed regularly. Might not work for everyone, but it's certainly improved my existence.
My wife is 43 and an insomniac her whole life. She started a few weeks ago and A few puffs from a weed vape pen 20 min before bed and she can get right to sleep at night. No more Ambien or over the counter sleep aid. Best thing ever. Thank you CA for legalizing weed.
It's highly offensive to me that in one breath he says that alcohol and weed are just as bad as each other. Then he says you can drink yourself to death in one night and half of the deaths are from poisoning or organ failure from prolonged use. It almost happened to me when I was young and I binged one night. Super offensive and gross this guy. What a grifter. Shame on you.
I have sever acute IBS and the only thing that could get me to actually eat and not throw up was smoking cannabis. I still lost 20kg, and I still smoke weed almost everyday and I have never been healthier ( I am a 22 year old male)
I was at the doctor to get medical marijuana for my anxiety and autism disorders. And he said he had a patient with glaucoma. And the patients levels were at like 50 eye pressure which the normal is around 18. They put him on medicine to make it 40 something and said “you’ll be blind in a few years but not right away”. Long story short he was prescribed medicinal marijuana and his eye level pressure was a 6. His eye pressure was never that low his whole life...
I never used MJ until I was in my late 30's and I saw both sides of this debate. I had times when I felt relaxed and euphoric and there were a few times when I had what could only be described as substantially decreased desire to socialize and also had a few rage outbursts as well. This was somthing that I had never experienced in my entire life. The problem lies in not knowing how much to use and when and exactly what type to use. Overall I still think if properly prescribed that CBD and THC is likely to have an overall positive effect in peoples lives though as with any drug...all things in moderation is a good attitude to have when using it.
Honestly an overdose of alcohol is much more lethal than thc. I'm 19 and know so many peers who ended up in the hospital due to alcohol overdose, one guy's heart stopped for a few minutes and he barely survived. It's sad how alcohol is more dangerous than weed consumption yet alcohol is legal and weed isn't.
Alcohol is literally a poison .... there are no poisonous compounds in cannabis plant ... the bio-actives in ther are lipids / terpenes . even concentrated forms of the most actives in the plant ( FECO/ RSO) are non toxic/ incapable of causing a toxic response eTC...
I always have found that entire discussion ultimately ends in a single thing, no more prescriptions. If a drug makes you feel good, then its recreation. If a drug has an effect that works for a malady, its medicine. Therefore, if AIDs medication gets you high...then I guess its recreational as well?
I think it's crazy that everyone is effected differently, it makes studying it so hard like I can take about 150 mg of edibles and I'll barely feel, but my sister and my dad get destroyed by like half that amount. I think we should study to determine how to figure out how cannabis affects every individual, then it would be safe to medically give people and we could stop a lot of the negatives such as people having phycological issues with cannabis
I started using oils recently (both thc & cbd) the past few months.. My life has changed dramatically. I'm not taking pharmaceuticals for my anxiety, depression and hunger anymore. Hopefully I dont get a drug screen from my employer.
Well we do realize that we use it to get high and not for medicinal reasons but we don’t care lol I don’t believe in minding no ones business but my own
I've been watching a lot of videos on cannabis, and have learned how it affects me. I originally started with sativa thinking it would help me with energy. It did, but it also gave me anxiety. I believe I went an entire week without rem,nor deep sleep. It was very disorienting. I had the same effects with vaping, and edibles. I now do a couple of inhales of indica, and it helps me with many things. Mainly fitness. I just have learned to be disciplined. There is a point of diminishing returns. I am constantly monitoring that balance. My life is better for using it nowadays.
The "anti weed dude", makes a great point we need to start determining the number marijuana related deaths like with alcohol, but there's also a lot problems with the psycholigical states of the users many take too much and trip too hard.
Joe Rogan have u heard of canaboid hyperemesis it’s very debilitating ! I suffer from this and I am wondering now it’s been legal in America in some states if this has been a rising issue.
I'm wondering do doctor's still monitor breathing rhy thm to see what is actually stressing you out daily.I had this new field manager, years ago and his doctor was monitoring his breathing and heart rhythm through out the day.And soon as we were dispatched for the day or week, his heart rate and breathing rhythm returned to normal.
I started smoking cannabis when I lived in BC back when I was 11 in middle school, that was 19 years ago, I still continue to gain amazing benefit from cannabis, I like my bong and flower when I'm at home, and my vape pen at work, I dont have Schitzophrenia im not paranoid or psychotic, I'm just a normal dude with a family and a full time job. Cannabis isn't for everyone, but I live in a legal recreational state and I'm over 21 so I'm not breaking the law, I'm not committing any crime or moral injustice. I dont believe i am harming myself or anyone else by consuming cannabis and I will stick by that until the day I die
Subex has a strain panna cotta it's pretty close to a 50/50 hybrid I think it leans towards the indica just a smidge. It does not give me the munchies that's one thing I really like about it.
I'm mixed on it, I smoked daily from 1985 till 1996. I have a CDL now so it's zero tolerance. I am against weed in the sense that people just sit around and get baked all day and don't do anything productive. I am against the use of weed if someone is more apt to not pursue their dreams because of drug tests. I don't think you should let anything control you. I do wish however that they would come up with some sort of a breathalyzer like they have for alcohol. Because I would like to once in awhile sit down and take a hit or two. I can go get s***-faced drunk every night wake up hungover go get in that truck and drive. But I cannot on a Friday night if I want to quiet my brain, kill some pain or just relax, take a hit of weed or two wake up in the morning and be fine. I don't understand how I can go to a doctor he can prescribe me all kinds of medications and it's okay for me to take those medications. But as a 50-year-old man I cannot choose to medicate myself how I want.
I use THC to treat mild PTSD and depression/anxiety which I have experienced my whole life. Can say without a doubt I might have taken my own life multiple times if it weren’t for marijuana. The plant is so misunderstood it blows my mind.

I don't know why pot smokers are so sensitive to any criticism directed towards weed. The guy wrote a book basically saying " Stop treating weed like it's this mystical super drug" In response they hit him with " well what about these other drugs like beer". you've completely missed the point if you make such an argument, it may not be as bad as other drugs but the main point is " Stop treating weed like it's this mystical super drug". I don't think anyone should have a problem with that.
when looking into the biochemistry of the cannabis plant and human biology we find that the lipids/terpenes in there are so medical for us it is like a miracle ... Lipid metabolism . the plant lipids are essentual for man ... the seeds contain all the omegas ... the more mature plant cannabinoids metabolize like super charged omega three ... and the best thing ... theer are so amny ingestion methods that are non smoke related ... the cannabis plant is so diverse and people cannot get past smoke ideas or smoke ingestion thinking only . when you take out the smoke aspect you really see this ... even in all the smoke too are the beneficial lipids in the plant

I have no strong option either way, but just as joe said at the beginning, it’s in the middle. There is no strong research that has supported thc’s benefit in reducing pain, anxiety, depression. In fact, a current study found that people who use high does of marijuana actually have higher anxiety and depression. However, the participants believe that marijuana does in fact relieve their symptoms, so it’s hard to say what’s going on here. I believe the placebo effect is at play in regards to marijuana- both in positive and negative ways.
I'm not a pot head. When I was forced to quit by the State after getting caught with weed and going on probation I quit cold turkey easily. I really did not notice it being out of my life, until stress and depression sprung up. I have MDD , chronic depression, I don't mope around, I get out and I try to beat it, ngl though it beats my ass most days. One hit of a THC pen has me in this state of being unbelievably LOCKED IN but zoned out, hard to explain. Like I will have an amazing in depth detailed conversation while buzzed to high, I can sit by myself and ENJOY whatever I am watching or reading. Marijuana, THC, immensely improves my quality of life. When I am not using Marijuana, (been sober for over 2 years now) I have to FIGHT every single day to be myself and not curl up and be in a melancholy mood at best, and a s*icidal mood at worse. I have tried medication, like SSRI's , Antidepressants, Supplements, REALLY good positive body transforming exercise for over a year...NOTHING helps, it is almost certainly biological but medicines make me feel worse because of the side effects. THC however, makes me feel ALIVE, it makes me feel like the real me. I know it sounds bad, but its true, like I said, I am sober and I do not plan on going back, it's too much of a hassle. I do not want to risk my freedom for it. However, I actively and openly support THC use for adults, kids and teens are still not developed enough to partake, and by that I mean the science says kids and teens are adversely affected mentally by extended THC use. But for Adults who only use it to feel that euphoria, that mellow high, I support it as a therapeutic medicine, hopefully one day the state I live in will legalize it medicinally or I can find a job in a legal state and improve my daily mood with access to THC.
