Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino both loved Michael Parks,and he starred in a few of their movies. Especially Tarantino. Smith had him as more of a main character in the couple he was in of his. Tarantino had him just pop up in almost every one of his movies until he passed,along with his son,who played beside his father in DeathProof and he played OB in Hateful 8.

I think his biggest budgeted movie was Cop Out. And I liked it,a lot of ppl didn't,and it tanked at the box office. And Smith had a very notoriously tough time working with Bruce Willis. And I think he's just gonna stick to his own type of casting,and his own kind of movies and budgeting after that. And he has.

Two of my favorite people
@basicaveragetwit4543
@basicaveragetwit4543 7 лет назад
I used to love Kevin Smith, but it seems like all of his ideas are him on drugs and nobody challenging him when he has a bad idea here and there. As a human, he's funny, I love listening to him rant/chat... I've been to his website (since the 90's I'm a fan from the beginning) and the people there are fanatics in the truest sense of the word. The love everything thing he says and thinks and never criticize anything. It's unbearable and it's not acceptable to let a creative icon you love just sit there running with the very first thought that pops into his head every single time. Challenge him on at least some of his ideas, and watch him work and see what he creates out of it. It's called tough love, and the reason Kevin isn't producing the type of material I know he's capable of is his circle of close friends and fans around him started thinking everything he did was "genius". As that's happened, people like me that were around since the 90's have to step back and question if he's going to produce another Clerks or Chasing Amy. (two of my favorite films) There's almost zero chance that Kevin would see this, but take for example another showing of Jay and Silent Bob that is said to be coming out. Can we finally show a little more reality of how these two would be if they still existed as we know them too in today's world? There's a lot of comedy to extrapolate from that, or is he going to make them slapstick and make all the comedy super easy? Y'know, Clerks and Chasing Amy had a lot of real heart, and set in a real world with some unrealistic things happening around them. When you saw these characters on screen, you knew these characters in reality, if not some of their stories reflecting your own life.
