It's so weird being a moderate in today's society with this huge us vs. them mindset that the left and right both have. I personally enjoy making fun of liberals and conservatives because there's things I don't like about both sides.
As a traditional conservative, I dislike some of Joe Rogan's political views. But I have so much respect for him having anyone and everyone on his show, giving them a platform to share their views. Joe Rogan is the type of person we need in this world, he is the master of flexing the 1st amendment.
@@beircheartaghaistin2332 It's a shame it's so rare to find people like that. We are a dying breed. I've only found a few people like that. One of my closest friends I had was super liberal. Pro abortion, trans, anti police, very far left. And as you may guess, I am oppose to many of his beliefs. But we still got along very well. We would talk politics sometimes, but we mostly just hung out together. We never really argued, or fought. Just had a few drinks and chilled out. He was awesome.
I was watching Leah Remini anti-Scientology videos and I got tons of ads FOR Scientology. I truly believe Google/RU-vid does this as a practice. For every person watching a video because they support its cause, there are people watching it because they don’t support it. Must be an economic algorithm. Weird how that works.
I used to watch tyt then realized I can't its too hypocritical. And if you need sources or a talk about it I'll gladly give you both. The bubble the left and the right is living in are not part of reality. Obviously Joe is a view platformer that gives respect and opinions to extreme views. Question? would you like to see only your views on those ads? It would be amazing for the monetization of ads but isn't that a bubble for your cyber life. Would we not be even more polarized? I like the fact that we have to deal with other view even if we believe adamantly they're wrong.
@joshrm Depends on the union. I work closely with the UAW and I'm not even allowed to take pictures of damaged car parts with my phone because according to their words, "it's taking away work from the union camera guy". I have lots of stories like that lol
@joshrm I'm not in the union, I'm an engineer working alongside members everyday for 4-5 years now. Union bureaucracy (Not all unions, but the UAW specifically. I can't speak for the rest) is so non-productive and it's no longer supporting what it was created to do. I've also never said that all union jobs would get replaced today. But it is quickly happening and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 40% cut in workforce within the next 10 years. If the union keeps striking and asking more more wages, cut that timeline down by another 2 years. One example is I used to see so many forklifts driven by humans when I first started that are now today electric automated carts that follow tracks and QR codes to the different stations.
@joshrm I would like to hear your opinion after you try working directly with the UAW for a few years. Also if you go back and read what I said, I never said "they are causing automation", I said they are speeding up the rate it is happening. Please understand that distinction as those two are not the same thing.
@joshrm They absolutely are speeding it up in the case of auto. I don't know where you are getting your information from but I am pulling it from years of experience as an engineer working firsthand in the automotive industry.
How ironic that’s the most progressive thing someone can do these days 🤣 let’s see chunk and that crazy eyed chick sit down and have a political discussion like adults. People aren’t always going to agree on everything but at least there’s still people willing to discuss ideas and opinions without getting emotional and running away or resorting to childish name calling. The so called progressive left are the most intolerant, close minded people but their heads are too far up their own ass holes to see it. I’m not a huge Crowder fan but I sure do respect him. He’s always willing to sit down and have a discussion like an adult. Not afraid to hear other opinions unlike the young turds.
I don’t know about that. I’m not on either side. I couldn’t really care less about choosing sides but it seems conservatives are way more likely to hold a sensible conversation and not act like babies when faced with another opinion or an argument. It’s silly to me to get so emotional over a difference of opinion but the leftists, time and time again have proven themselves to be unable to handle themselves like grown ups. It’s important to have discussions. It’s what make us human. The ability to communicate and as adults and not to let our emotions get the better of us. That’s why this is so refreshing. I’m sick of seeing people just screaming and calling people names because they don’t agree (leftists) I don’t see anyone on the so called “right wing” or conservatives acting like that. I’m sure there are but It’s nothing like you see on the left.
This is why people like Joe Rogan world wide. He will have anyone from any background on his podcast no matter their beliefs. Mad respect for that man.

The sam Harris interview was painful to watch, listening to Cenk talk utter bullshit and Sam painstakingly explain his points was the most frustrating thing to watch.
His talk with Karen Straughan...that was legit a tantrum. Meanwhile she sounded like she was completely expecting that reaction and just kept her cool.
Joe Rogan is definitely not a conservative, and I am. But I appreciate that he can give a forum to people with a variety of perspectives and not lose his cool. I like the fact that he is willing to listen. And that doesn’t make him weak at all.
@@sebsignat8286 umm this video just shows that they paid a drunk Kevin Sorbo to make a video. Where's the link to crowder saying he won't debate him? @@gatophantasma That's the problem with labels. But, he does identify as one. I know whatever disagreements they have, they appear to be arguing in good faith. What else can you ask for?
There is no denying that climate is ever changing. The debate is actually over the question if man is actually affecting climate change. There is no scientific proof that we are. If there is present evidence, not your ideas and theories.
qwertyuiop anti science? I’m a moderate conservative in the STEM field and my colleagues are mostly somewhere in the middle. We use our critical thinking as opposed to our emotions and we require hard evidence before forming an opinion. I’m not saying that your ideals regarding climate change is wrong, I’m just saying I haven’t seen anything that backs up the current narrative. It’s essentially propaganda.
Here’s an excellent explanation of the current status of climate change science. Please pay close attention and listen carefully. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fA5sGtj7QKQ.html

TenTonNuke all I’m saying is our climate is and has always gone through cycles of warm ups and cooling downs( like mini ice age every 10 to 15thousand years) and I do not believe man is actually affecting the environment. my bigges problem with crowder is that he never talks to someone who actually knows their stuff, crowder would never dabeta anyone like kyle, sam seeder, destiny og david pakman...... sure you can enjoy his stuff but not being challenged for 5+ years is a little sad.
Perhaps a debate isn't what he's after so much as trying to understand why some have their perspective, in turn broadening his own view. I think compromise happens when two people don't try to change each others mind, as that's a huge rarity. However, being able to understand how the other person came to think what they do, that's when compromise is much more likely.
I think it's because left leaning people don't stick to debate format or rules. When they are losing a point they throw out unrelated or debunked nonsense to derail things to distract from the point they are losing on. For anyone who has done actual debate with rules, time limits and structure it's infuriating to watch. Debate is utterly based on winning on the merits of facts and evidence. The left cannot do that. Essentially it's like trying to play chess against some one who will just throw the entire board across the room if they are losing. If anyone on the left would commit to the basic established rules of debate they would get so many right leaning people signing up to debate. They won't.
@@djbeezy the issue with Sam Seder is that he's one of those people who think that a debate is about who has the best one liners and just turns them into pissing matches.
It's incredible to see television in its dying throes. RU-vid is potentially way more powerful, and way more diffuse. The audience is global, and there are fewer gatekeepers. We're seeing the emergence of a new media right now... it's quite a feeling, no?
@Michael Myers channels don't get shut down for being left or right. They get shut down when their content makes people feel like trash. (I don't agree w shutting them down though)
You tube censors daily. They have no consistency. With only one exception. Every time they make a "mistake" it is in only one direction. Their mistakes always favor one side politically.
@@wmason1961 you've got a point. My comment was made 3 years ago, and much has changed. I make documentaries and weird little animations on my channel. I made a doc about Pizzagate, one that explicitly said the conspiracy theory wasn't true, and it was removed for "bullying and harassment." Completely ludicrous, especially since it was removed earlier, I appealed it, and it was restored. That being said, what I really meant by "RU-vid" is just the proliferation of online video, user generated content, etc. I do think it's had an extraordinary impact in delegitimizing American media. Yes, it's definitely not perfect. But they wouldn't feel the need to censor if they didn't feel threatened, no?

Fundamental issue with these two is they speak from ignorance. Rogan seems like genuinely a perfect human. Open to ideas, friends with everyone, no preconceptions. Crowder doesn't even have that though. His "change my mind" bullshit is useless when his fundamental ideology is nonsense.

There's lots of shallow banter among both the Right and Left. Crowder does it. His lumping of everyone into "the Left" is your first clue. Crowder brags about "change my mind" where he debates random people on the street. *But when has he ever formally debated a scholar of any type?*
The point of Change My Mind is to make other people more open to other views than the one they're biased to.
