I think conor will find the holes. it's not really about what combat sport you do, fighter intelligence will be key. Mayweather has nothing to study. Conor has a thousand hours to study. UFC fighter pay model shouldn't change. What's the biggest motivator in the world? Money. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they should fight each other for scraps at all. If everyone got paid around the same win or lose then fighter's are less likely to perform as well or as motivated as they do now. Besides, It's not like they're starving. Lowest contract pay is a 10k/10k(USD) show/win contract by the ufc that's usually a 4 fight contract and also the 2,500 from reebok for each fight(4). So lowest they will make is 50k if they lose 3 times and 90k if they win all their fights and this is THE LOWEST UFC will pay fighters, and that's not including the 50k bonuses. Most fighters will get more on their contract if they know how to haggle. New UFC fighters make really good money. Don't be fooled. Oh yeah, they also get full medical coverage.
