Floyd will literally do anything to sell a fight. He's playing the "I'm underestimating him, and I'm old/worn out" while full well knowing he's gonna destroy Connor. So many people biting on his bait.
There's no way that happened, aside from Zab's trainer denying it Floyd beat Zab in his prime with smaller gloves on and Zab is a completely shot fighter now whereas Floyd's still probably like 80-90% as good as he was then, what are the odds that Zab would knock him out with bigger gloves on?
