thats why im pretty sure the metaverse just isnt gonna take off. why go into the metaverse when you can... play a fucking video game thats like 1000 times cooler

@@PlutoTheGod you should see some of the girls those guys have pulled in its crazy. Also some of the chicks are pretty good looking too. Some of the people playing make more money then pro athletes
Rockstar has tried to take it down so many times, same with Red Dead Redemption's version but legally there's nothing they can do other than threaten because they are making their own assets and putting them on top of the game's instead of altering the game's assets.
It doesn't matter if they're using other assets, they're still using and modifying the core game. They've ALWAYS had the right to deny you access to THEIR services if you've been caught modifying the game like this, but why would they hurt their reputation by doing it? This is akin to when Nintendo would copyright strike and remove any videos or livestreams of their games. Even if you don't think a company has a right to do that, they've ALWAYS legally retained the ability to manage their game this way. As long as it's in the TOS agreement, you have NO say.
joes the perfect person to shellshock teaching him things because i swear in all his videos hes like a caveman that just woke up in 2022 and is seeing our reality, compared to what cavemen once was theres before they froze over..
I mean if you tried to talk to Joe for an hour, he’d teach you a million things and you’d teach him maybe one or two lol, people say he’s one of the smartest guys they’ve met
@@josh7120 that's the most stupid things i heard. Why would a 50 years old know about GTA rp? Litterally the reason i like Joe Rogan Is because i finally found an old guy whose interested in almost anything. You should try living in a old country like Italy where everybody lives in the past and you'll see the differences. People here barely know anything new like crypto, nft and any possible types of innovations. It's like living in the 90'
@@spirti9591 alot of dumb coments and videos I've seen over the years. Jjst stating he acts like a caveman and I respect how he doesent act like he "knows it all"
i mean alot more constructive than saying people are out here impersonating cops in real life like they do in GTA XD thats some next level connect the nonexistent dots
GTA would be fun as hell in VR tbh. A couple years ago when I dropped some LSD, I ended up driving around in first person on GTA V and jamming and it was actually badass.
@@RyanWillis227 hes in denial. the only way to remain sane after the things Daniel has done is to tell himself it was all just a hallucination, a bad trip. but his victims? they were not hallucinating.
Used to do this a lot, at least in the server I was in, a lot of them were legit IRL EMS/Law enforcement. Had many a scene interrupted by an EMS's character who had to abruptly leave when their pager went off lol
@The Cowboy people were less toxic and weren’t focused on grinding. You could just chill out with randoms and some people would get into their characters when doing jobs or the early business and MC work
@The Cowboy I kinda agree with this. On PS3 it was a very good community some toxic but it wasn’t as bad. PS4 Version came out and remember A LOT of 360 players bought PS4s because of E3 2013 so we got way more toxic players in GTA V than anything really.
GTA RP blew up in the community mainly during the COVID-19 quarantine. People used it as a way to escape and have actual social contact again. And it’s been big like that ever since
I've spent 5 years of my life playing gta rp. It is not worth it. I have realized this even more so since I started college. EVERY server is like a high school social net. There is drama around every corner on every server, no exceptions. For many, including me, this has completely taken over our social lives, or whatever is left of it. You feel horrible when you're not on a server for half of the day bc you're afraid you'll miss out on something. Not to mention how many people who start to think they are, in real life, the super awesome and edgy gangster that gets all the girls that they play as. I would say it would probably be ok to do it when you're really young and get out of it as you mature and gain real life responsibilities, but that is like saying getting into narcotics at a young age and getting out of them as you get older. YOU CAN"T. You feel as if it is your responsibility to keep doing it because maybe you feel you have to get on for the other people you "roleplay" with, so they aren't let down. You don't have to. There is nothing stopping you from deleting the game, and moving on with your life.
I really liked reading your comment and it resonated with some similar experiences I had. It's great to hear that you matured, and being able to assess your experience in this way shows real growth. Wish you the best in college, keep at it man
Exactly, ifyou're in college you should be focusing on making relationships in real life because this is about the last time you're going to be making any real lasting relationships before everyone moves onto their adult lives and if you've never been socially "trained" you're going to be seen as socially inept for the rest of your life because you never learned it during your developmental years. Ideally you don't want to be sitting inside all day role-playing with people on the internet even as a kid or teenager but most of us don't realize the value of putting yourself in uncomfortable social situations until we get older and the social hierarchy becomes more apparent.
It's crazy how big of a deal it turned out to be in the end. I remember playing GTA RP on MTA:VC back in 2006, but it was only text-based back then with very limited amount of scripts. It was still a lot of fun.
The fact that young jamie talked about the old quake days and modded servers with Joe Rogan & Brian Redban makes me think I probably steamrolled them clowns back in the day!! Look where I ended up...working lol.
I can’t wait till they pull a Dwight. And their character creates a secondary life as well. A meta verse within the meta verse. Which makes you wonder. . . .what verse are WE actually in?
I play GTA but I always found the RP aspect wierd. I couldn't justify investing that much time to an online character. People that RP online are in effect replacing it with their real life, cause its easier. Not really healthy imo
@@sillygoose4100I can understand streamers hopping on it once in a while for content, but role playing in a video game on your own time is kinda weird and you are trying to distance yourself from reality to a degree while doing it.
@@ejp507 Video game's in general are an escape from reality, honestly seems better like a more enjoyable escape than something like fortnite or counter-strike which are just filled with toxic kids.
@@Esketh19 I’m hip that’s why I said to a degree because it’s a video game at the end of the day, I just know its not healthy if ur someone who struggles socially and uses this as an alternative. It only makes you more socially inept
@@ejp507 actually quite the opposite for people who tend to be shy and are as socially inept it actually helps them get out of their comfort zone for example someone who is super shy in real life can get over their shyness through interactions and more and we all know that you can learn something from anything
How difficult is it to explain role-playing? Extremely according to young jamie. It's like secretary and stern boss, only the stockings aren't as sexy when they're over people's heads as they negotiate their way out of a bank robbery.
