Joe Rogan on Surviving Cancel Culture as a Comedian 

Imagine willingly paying for a ticket to a comedy show and getting offended when the comedian tells a joke.

The frustrating thing is that literally everyone who knows Joe, knows that he is a good person. People are INTENTIONALLY lying about him and no sane person even remotely thinks Joe is a hateful person.

I could listen to Ben, Joe and Jordan Peterson all day long and never get bored or tune out.

I love Joe. When you can have a conversation with someone you disagree with on most things, but basic logic is still basic logic, it’s a beautiful thing.

Joe Rogan should 1000% be the moderator for the next Presidential Election.

I appreciate seeing the amount of respect and logical discussions that Ben has been having with anyone who is willing. So good for our society to see this.

Absolutely spot on! They should have known Joe Rogan wouldn't lie down and just take everything they gave...qnd nor should he have to. Good on him for standing up and taking aim right back at them.

My 2 favourite interviews this year are bill Maher and Ben Shapiro, and joe Rogan and Ben Shapiro. People respectfully discussing subjects not talking over each other.

Comedy is taking something dark, and making it funny. If you cannot even talk about anything mildly irritating, how will comedy survive? Comedy is about laughing WITH each other, not AT each other.

Joe is spot on with his beliefs here. He tends to bounce around his beliefs, but giving the middle finger to the left over cancel culture is great. Personally I have not adjusted my speech or jokes for any of this garbage. I just don’t care what people think.

The scarey thing is that everything Joe just said should be self evident and obvious.

"Cancel Culture" only exists if you let it. Those who refuse to play along are immune to it. Example, Dana White.

When you listen to someone speak for 3+ hours, you realize if they are full of shit or boring, but everyone that listens to him knows he is good person and is genuine as one can be

If you don't call people deplorable Nazi's they will likely listen respectfully to what you have to say. People like myself that may not agree with Joe are willing to listen to what he has to say. He may at some point change some minds on some issues because of this. The same holds true for Ben Shapiro. Good ideas come decent caring intelligent people. Both of these guys fit that description. Nothing bad can come from listening to all sides speak. These 2 act like real honest to goodness adults. Really refreshing to see!

I was at evergreen for my first quarter when all that happened. No one, on either side, accurately describes what happened. It was simultaneously more pathetic and more horrifying than you think. The day of absence/presence banned nobody from campus - they did however (in my program) tie credit directly to an off campus white guilt struggle session for whites only lol. Previous years it was on campus and non mandatory, while 'poc identifying' students went off campus instead. The issue wasn't switching the white group to off campus, it was suddenly making it mandatory for credit (to which which me and a number of mixed race students protested as mandatory segregation.) We got hysterically screamed at by our peers while the professor looked on in silence haha. I remember, (it was 2017) and we were assigned a new essay called "white fragility" in preparation for the struggle session. THIS WAS A PRINTMAKING COURSE LOL

Love the interview as always! It's funny because I aligned a lot with Joe's politics yet I find myself watching Ben Shapiro more than anyone lol it's almost like different people can have different opinions and still get along.

They both look at each other with confusion, and the first man speaks up and asks "since when did they start burying two people in the same plot?". 😂😂

In the past when people didn't like a joke or got pissed of with an artist, the only thing in their power was to not watch them. Now, people feel empowered to act on what they don't like or agree with.

Spot on. I disagree with Mr. Rogan slightly more often than not. Love his comedy and his show, though. He's a genuine person - and one who does his damnedest to be descent.

I love when he talks about the need to label everyone into conservative and deplorable, yet all of their other time is spent screaming to quit mislabeling everything.

I love how Joe kindly pronounced Bret’s last name correctly

1. He never got truly cancelled in a time where he was vulnerable to cancellation. Especially as he didn't become politically vocal until he already made a huge amount of money. 2. He apologised to the hate mob, meaning he did the exact opposite of what you really should do. Probably because he thinks the mob is 'just liberal' like he is, when in comparison Joe is pretty much a centrist. It would have been a stronger statement to never apologise. 3. He didn't 'survive' cancel culture as a comedian, as most people do not go watch his comedy shows anyway. He's genuinely not a great comedian, even when arguably one of the better podcast hosts alive willing to speak his mind. And on the opposite side of things, people will watch his podcast, as a majority of his audience does not consist of the fringe left. 4. He also really doesn't make that many politically incorrect jokes to begin with. Most anger is aimed at what he says outside of his comedy shows. Barely anyone even knows what his comedy routine is like. 5. He does care about what hate mobs say, or he would have never apologised. He doesn't really believe in the whole 'it was just a joke' validity of what it means to make jokes and never apologise for them. 6. He doesn't understand how a classical liberal within today's political landscape, is someone who's probably fairly conservative for the most part, compared to everything on the left. And at the bare minimum that makes him a centrist already. Same goes for people like Tim Pool. It actually doesn't matter if they are pro gay marriage or consider it a tradition reserved for a man and woman or if they have misguided ideas about basic universal income or the economy as a whole. Hate to say it, but universal basic income is dumb, pointless and impossible. It's like people not understanding the simple universal mechanic behind minimum wage and thinking it should be $30/hour, when really that directly translates to all basic goods increasing in price instantly, meaning the very short term end effect is simply a huge devaluation of money and no gain whatsoever. Enjoy paying $10 for a bread and $15 for a can of milk..... I don't dislike Joe Rogan, but he is a bit of an idiot. I used to watch his podcast when they were still on RU-vid. He's a friendly dude, but also has plenty of bad takes.
