There is a conversation about keeping all the different categories of food separate that I have heard. It supposedly could be better for digestion, but I have never found any scientific studies that verify this. Not that I have researched it more than just a cursory glance at google for any journal posts.
I’m convinced that 95% of nutritionists no nothing about nutrition as they follow the bs that is taught about the SAD diet and they don’t take into consideration that we can’t convert fiber to nutrition
Joe fronts like he's all into bow-hunting and shit but everybody knows it's just an excuse to go in the woods and look for Bigfoot. "I'm no hero," said Rogan, after capturing the elusive beast. "i was just out here trying to feed my family."
Been on the Carnivore diet for the last several months now, I really don't have a problem with it. I eat once a day sometimes twice. The only thing I've noticed that changed for me is that I tend to feel sleepy around 9 and fall asleep around 10 PM. Oh, and no more hip and shoulder pain. And I don't take any more naps in the afternoon so otherwise, nothings changed, still workout twice a day.
I get migraines from plant oils and depression from sugar/starch, carnivore was the only thing after keto that helped me get rid of a 20 year depression.
jman I've heard rogan say that when he went looking for big foot or other conspiracy shit on his show Joe rogan questions everything he realized a lot of those people are full of shit
lol joe rogan entertains a amazing amount of stupid pseudoscience crap. the fact that this video questions the carnivore diet due to lack of science is ironic.
I think its fine temporarily...veganism that is. I think it can certainly be a reset diet for a time. But no one can tell me that eating tons of veggies, wild caught fish/game and no processed food is somehow bad for me. Show me a longterm vegan that isn't irritating and whiney.
calvinzhobbes1977 all we know is, High level of serum cholesterol and LDL are usually present in an astounding amount of people with cardiovascular disease. Plaque found in arteries are what clog them and cause heart attacks and strokes. The plaque is made up of cholesterol. Practically the only way to get cholesterol in your system through diet is through animal products, wild game or not.
@@madvertising He's still alive in 2020, no heart attack. In fact, he looks amazing and he's helping a ton of people! How about you take your negativity and blow it out your ass, Abdul.
Inuits are a great and a well know example of a carnivore only comunity. I would expect a person who is criticising the diet would know about its most known practicioners. Sounds a bit like you're dissmising their existance just to push your point accross.
i believe we are designed to survive on any food available and the issue is a major luxury problem. just like your immune system your digestive system will adapt to your food intake - as long as you dont eat too much or too little you will be fine in most cases.
I do 15 diets everyday and rotate between them every 2 hours: (1.) whole food plant based (2.) all starch (3.) high fat raw vegan (4.) nutritarian (5.) fruititarian (6.) junk food vegan (7.) detox vegan (8.) SOS-free (9.) raw till 4 (10.) whole starch low fat (11.) high carb low fat (12.) heart healthy (13.) low carb vegan (14.) plant-based/just vegan (15.) cheese-vegetarian
Why's everyone want to live to be 100 anyways? Eat what tastes good, work out, you'll be fine. Live life however you want. Everyone going on telling everyone what they should eat. There's too many of us anyways
xXBedaXx like I said work out. Lol. I get what you're saying. But if doing it right means I can't enjoy eating ever again and working out can't fend that off, then fuck that. Life's too short to hate every meal. I get you man but it just isn't how I think
xXBedaXx Yes you can... just work out and you’ll be fine. Of course if you overeat you will be fat, but everything in moderation and you are good to go
I wonder if illiminating the poison they spray on all crops including organic crops are what people are having problems with and by only eating meat they no longer have the poison that was sprayed on the crops (especially glycogen) in there system which is causing the benefits they talk about
I appreciate what they get to here which has been my theory for a while: the meat isnt the cure, it's the elimination of vegetables that removed something that was causing issues.
I started eating mostly meat recently, with a little fruit and greens once in a while and noticed I felt so much better. I started thinking maybe there is something to this mostly carnivore thing. Then realized since my ex moved out and I'm doing the shopping the cupboards aren't filled with ramen noodles and shit. So yeah, more than anything else it's about the elimination of things. Just gotta stop eating that processed fucking garbage.
this guy scammed my brother in law, some vitamin sales pyramid scheme thing. he said the same BS to him that he's telling joe now, in the same exact manner, down to the "rancher girl" line". Ricky bought it hook, line, and sinker, and lost both his house and his wife's pension from it. ben seems cool and "with it". and joe's all "my friend jordan peterson".
I don't understand why people go to the extremes with diet. Going completely meat-free or completely plant-free just seems ridiculous. The only thing people can't dispute as healthy is eating a clean, balanced diet. Stop complicating things.
Yeah with the carnivore diet u can eat any and all animal products people tend to forget dairy comes from animals yes your stomach acid builds up from eating meat but dairy neutralizes is plants can be used as food but it better to use them as medicines
There's a middle ground to "carnivore" and it's called low GCI diet, staying away from any processed grain product period, and virtually zero niteshade, and it was even touched on about the bio-available nutrients. It's vital to intake key phyto-nutrients, and a lot of healthy fats, i.e. avocado, coconut oil and I find that a lot of those who go low carb do not eat enough fish. High consumption of healthy sustainable fish is so important.
Jack Lalanne was a pescadarian and egg white guy along with his veggies. I think we are realizing now that maybe industrial foods like processed meat and processed carbs and sugar are the culprits in our diet. Whether you go carnivore or vegetarian as long as you stay away from that crap and take in protiens and fat, you'll be okay.
Honestly who the fuck cares what you eat unless you’re playing some sport or have some kinda body goal. We’re all alive and we all eat some kinda shit anyways. Let’s just continue what we’re doing.
I only felt good on raw food vegan for a week, then it was a nightmare. I spent 400 ON enzymes and probiotics and vitamins and vegan super food. Crap. I could have bought a lot of steaks. Veganism sucks. ITS NOT THE ELIMINATION. You can't eliminate plant food if you are not EATING SOMETHING ELSE. DUH!!
I like Ben, but he talks as if carnivore is primarily saturated fat?? There's so much Monounsaturated and healthy unsaturated fat in the diet no matter which meats, fish, and dairy you choose. Yeah purposely knocking back saturated fat will cause issues to the exclusion of others, but that doesn't mean it's because you're not eating plants.
I remain convinced a well designed, well balanced omnivorous diet is superior for most people. Certainly the quality of the food in any diet is paramount, and the fewer processed foods, added sugars, preserves, and artificial anything the better.
I'd agree though. I went vegan but i also paid close attention to all of my macro and micronutrients. It's easy to fail if you don't concern yourself with what you're consuming.
for all those people who "Feel great" after a diet with a placebo effect, there are just as many all over forums and at dr. offices complaining of "flus" and feeling like SHIT for weeks
naw...other than I can control my weight and appetite...I can go off the rails and just eat 1,000+ calories of garbage one day and it wont effect me. But, I notice you get a small bit of "chub" on my waist but I literally have lived this way my entire life then realized it is some sort of "diet" around this. 6'1 - 175lbs all year around and if I want to gain weight its hard and I can drop 10-15lb in a week at most. But I can stop myself from eating anything but "eating like a bird". I really enjoy eating this way because I can taylor my looks to how I want to look in the next few days. I am by NO means "big" but I am walking around with a "2-4 pack" all the time even after I sit down and smash on 2,000+ calories. I honestly dont feel like it is helping me but it is DEF better than walking around like a fat fucking slob, ....ever. In my opinion it really works but you need to commit to it and cant just ride it out for 3-6 months, you need to commit for years....But seriously I dont think just eating meat will help you at an apex. You need to just snack on shit like greens, bananas and I personally like yogurt. I am not saying you CANT just live off meat but, I am pretty close to just doing that but it makes me feel and look a WHOLE lot better when I mix in small amounts of shit like the greens and the fats and shit like that....and if you feel like you can, go nuts on a bag of chips one day because if you are seriously buckled down to eating 1x a day and gorging you will be fine with smashing a $3 bag of salted wavy chips....Let me end with saying I am NOT a person looking to look in the mirror and saying "damn, im almost there, "I am ALMOST perfect"....but if you are just looking to walk around looking "decent" in my opinion of the word, you can def just go on the meat diet but you cant just do the meat, even if you smash down a bag of chips, a raw head of broccoli, a salad with tons of your favorite dressing, it gives your body something other than flesh...I am by no means anybody in this community but I am just trying to share what has worked for me for over 10 years now. If you are a hardcore person about your body, totally direguard what I am saying but if you are a casual person like myself who works out with pre-workouts, creatin and shit but just are not about to take that step towards extreme BB, then doing this will help you in my opinion. Just dont come at this as a fat fuck thinking oh cool, i can skip my normal meat meal and smash McDonalds and bags of chips and it work....you have to be under control to begin with. Sorry if you are in the TLDR camp but I have just lived this wayfor years and come to find out its a legit "diet" by people who know what theyre talking about and this is just my experience. Enjoy your day guys!
His blood work is not irrelevant, but it's not conclusive to carnivore as a whole because we are looking at 1 individual eating 4+ lbs. of meat a day, has 49 other years of diet to consider, plus any sort of genetic or lifestyle variables. I'm not making a statement on carnivore 1 way or the other, but we have to be honest.
Everytime I listen to people talk about diets I feel like everyone has their own idea of what the right diet is. I'm certain that my French peasant, mostly bread diet isn't doing wonders for me though.
Long story short moderation and balance... not a new idea folks eastern health taught this in the form of balancing your chi while western health was about balancing your four humors with food.
If you don’t eat the poisons you can be health so it’s it the food you are eating which is prevent other possible influences that other food can (very likely) cause?
Savage Boi you have a point. I guess the point I was trying to make is having a healthy diet is not rocket science. We are inundated by diet science, which is not a bad thing per say, it's good to have a solid grasp on the science behind how your body processes food and what food is good. But a healthy diet does not have to be complicated. Natural fresh foods are best. Eat a wide variety in moderation, with that you really don't need a vitamin at all like you mentioned.
I agree. Most internet "diet experts" just make me roll my eyes. Eat actual food and avoid the processed crap, stay active and you'll be fine. Meat and Vegetables good, Mcdonalds and Kraft dinner bad. Really fucking simple.
Anyone... jesus christ no. It's an appeal to moderation because so many retarded internet morons latch onto every fucking fad diet they see their precious guru promoting that day of the week. It's really stupid actually.
People have become full blown neurotic about food and living arbitrarily long lives. Eat and do what makes you happy and feel good. I'd rather live 50 great years than 100 mediocre ones.
Shawn Baker explains the low Test as being more sensitive to it due to the carnitine. So his body needs more. I don't know though. But I don't think it's wise to suggest hypogonadism one a single variable.
Labwork doesn't lie - millions of men are diagnosed with Low T and receive treatment for those crappy levels. He has no research to back his "androgen sensitivity" theory.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16826026 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12930169 Granted, those are super-ordinate levels are carnitine but that's the research.
DamageIncM What industry would be fucked, meat and dairy? The meat and dairy industry does more damage to this planet than anything else - educate yourself.
