I have a mixed Presa, her father was an Amstaff. She is still only 1 year old, today actually 😮 when I think about it. Pretty fearful still but extremely ferocious when I meet certain other dogs and very protective.

Presa canario are more bigger then cane corso ?

Same thing with my presa canario . it's a almost 24 hr a day job,but one couldn't ask for a better pet or companion.Problem is his size scares people....I'm glad to hear that you are working so hard with your K-9. Keep up the great work 🤗🤗☘️☘️☘️☘️

lol break into my home they’ll fuck u up.. 😂 facts! Dogs are super good with kids and gentle giants if probably trained and socialized.. my neighbor had a South African boerbel, homie literally guards the entire neighborhood lol, sweetest dog ever, he always comes by to play with my daughters, they literally ride him like a horse lol I trust him 100% with my kids even though he’s not my dog. ❤ in fact I’ll be inside and he’s in the yard with the kids chilling.

My family come from Gran Canaria and when I go home I'm yet to see one there or in Tenerife, but I really appreciate the breeders who are doing such a great job producing these beautiful dogs with the correct temperament. ❤️

The pero de presa canario is an awesome dog. It's name means catch dog. They were not bred for fighting but for catching catle. We have had them in our family for decades.

@@SoCalPresa I prefer cane corsos over presas. Presas have a more athletic look vs the corso looks like a big ass hog lol to each his own. Presas are still hella dope I wouldn’t doubt myself getting one in the future in addition to my two corsos at home 💯

Well, a lot of dog fighting happened and continues to happen in secret, so breeders love to get exotic dogs for the ring. As an extension of this dark industry, it is a common sight to see gangsters and "hood rats" buying these expensive dogs as a status symbol, and sometimes using them for fighting. They also often want dogs who are people aggressive as a guard dog or simply to intimidate others. If you see a dog with a bad name like killer, toxic, poison, bullet, etc, it is safe to assume the owner is among these people.

My brindle presa is very sociable with people and other animals but as you mentioned gets massively over excited when meeting most people . To the point he is like taz from the cartoon.

I’ve been wanting a Presa for many years but damn it’s hard to find one that isn’t diluted. I see many Presa kennels but majority either have a great looking dam and a bad looking sire or vice versa

@@SoCalPresa I don't have any kids , but even if I did, Zeus was also my son. He was my world and I was devastated when he passed, but then I realized that he passed naturally, in his bed, with me there, and lived almost two dog lifetimes for a large breed dog of 125lbs. I was blessed!

That's a sign that you raised Zeus well, it's not everyday a Dog lives to be 17 especially Big Ones.

Did a professional Vet or Doctor give you any explanation of how he lasted that long, was it a good diet, good exercise, a healthy environment? Because I want to raise a Big Dog and I want it to Live as Long as Zeus

@@michaelmerly3596 All he said was, "whatever youre doing, keep doing it!" I believe I was truly blessed! We did EVERYTHING together and when he passed I was devastated for quite some time, and then one day I realized that I had Zeus for basically two dog lifetimes, pertaining to large dogs! From that point on it got easier without him. I fed him dog food, but he also ate a lot of steak. When I made a steak for me, I made a whole steak for him and we ate steak at least 3 times a week for supper. His favorite treats were Oats and Honey Granola bars, the chewy kind. I remember when he was 10 and still running and jumping like he was 3 or 4, it was crazy. I would be very careful of where you get any alleged purebred because a lot of people inbreed their dogs over and over again which leads to health problems. I hope you get lucky like me.

Yeah, kind of messed up hearing them get the ole "pit bulls are agressive, blood thirsty, natural born killers" ignorant treatment we have all been fighting for so long...SMH but then again, some types are mostly in love with the image of power the dogs project, not so much the dogs...

My Presa just needed to be around people when he was young. He’s the most gentle kind boy ever! But knows when it’s time to defend the house. I’ve never even had as much as a growl from him when I didn’t want him to. The best big boy ever!!

Honestly sometimes I think cities and localities shouldn’t have dog breed bans but should just have mandates that people who own dogs like pitts or press canarios and the like take mandated classes to learn how to properly train and socialize the dog

​@@TheOtherBoobJustDroppedthe problem is you end up with the pit situation, a bunch of poorly bred dogs chained to a block by it's 14 year old trying to be something through a dog. If you want these dogs to remain what they are their price must remain high and people must be stingy and require contracts on breeding.

@SoCalPresa I've had Jack Russell's pit bulls and sharpeis and I'm still shocked how quickly she picks up new demands , within!10 tres and she has it locked .

@SoCalPresa and she completely ignored me the first time I met her it took days before she noticed me, that's why she was in the shelter so long but I knew it's in the breed and that she's a proper presa .

It surprised me how my Presa rottie mix acts like this. He thought he saw an intruder in my house and checked every room. He watches my back on walks. I feel like I have a body guard when I'm around him. I don't need one but I can tell he loves me a lot

@bocaraca3814 yes it can iv seen it, Thunder from Hilda da dog real and Che Alberto de eterna premavera Google them both, male and female were 70kg and 65kg but one pup from litter of 9 ended up 90kg other puppies didn't so still Presa , from best blood lines in the world.

@bocaraca3814 The dog was slightly overweight I mite add , but a freakishly big dog compared to most Presa , it can happen as all animals sometimes have extremely large individuals , it doesn't make them not what they are.

@@marmedli9124 true, but the problem is that people breed and choose that "exceptions" as norm because they are more impressive, and they end changing the original breed. Today presas dont look like the tradicional presas here. Presas cant be enormous for the heat here and because people was poor and couldnt feed a dinosaur. Old presas had fame of low maintance dogs for their size, growing and working with not to much food.

I honestly highly doubt your 17months old presa weighs 70kg their max weight should be 65kg when fully matured which obviously can go over but you cant be telling me your dog went over the limit and hes still got 7months to fully mature....stop the cap mate getting weighed up b4 saying "my presa is about 70kg" lel

​@AAa-eg1nl my Presa was 105 pounds ,his mother 95 pounds but his father was 200 pounds from brazil and was uber agile for size some are just big boned and massive also they were both from world champion working lines.

@AAa-eg1nl Nope YOU ARE WRONG, Google Presa canario thunder he was from a breeder in brasil che alberto de eterna premavera was his father multiple world champion dog of pure Presa , most the dogs and bitches from his litters were normal size standard Presa, Thunder was a giant for the breed and was farther to my dog so you are wrong about this sorry ,my dog Pablo was 105 pounds very muscular lean working dog his father was gigantic Presa pure blood 200 pounds not even conversation FACTS.. very rare to get a dog this big but it does happen you are wrong and that is that.

Boerboel 💪💪

Right on!

When you get a boerboel study the bloodlines and get one that is not very inbred. So few around that breeders are using same relatives 4 and 5 times up close ruining the breed. Good ones will make you rethink if you have ever really owned a dog before. Genius level smart at analyzing situations and using tools to make it happen for you. Total velcro dog 24/7. Try not to get the really long back, heavy ones. They will have arthritis die at 5 years old, while the slightly leaner arched neck ones will be absolute fur missiles. The bite force has been recorded up to 900psi but under 700psi is more typical. Just guessing but between 1700 and 1900 I would not be surprised if a few wild hyenas or other African dogs got mixed in. It is in their dna to do lethal damage when needed so above all DO NOT DO BITE WORK. They will become so wildly aggressive and unpredictable you will be in constant danger. Once they learn attacking is fun and realize how effective they are, nothing will detour this. I have seen this happen and been sternly warned from the now deceased old African breeders as well. With early and consistent training and socialization this will be THE DOG of a lifetime. My first became a mobility service dog/personal protector/medical alert service dog/ farm hand at 10 weeks! no specific training other than sit, stay, thankyou, and no. She just figured out everything by herself anticipating my needs watching and listening. We just got back from Mayo Clinic where she was constantly showered with enthusiastic admiration and affection from people of all ages and countries. It was so amazing how people would light up, forget their ailments and want to be near her. She brought several large entire waiting rooms into engaging in conversation, making the stay delightful! Do get a boerboel!!!! Only one female or one male per household though. Same sex dogs will eventually seriously attack the competition for top dog spot.

@kathybeck1083 I do my homework before I get a dog. My Cane Corso is a traditional Cane Corso. I found a breeder that imported their dogs because I didn't want any of the backyard breeding mix ins that you can clearly see in other Corsos. As for the rest, I'm a dog trainer. No problems there.

Nope... the working line spanish mastiff it's a lot better guard. They are increíble with childs and literrally loves their family over their own líves( had cases of spanish mastiff who die of sadness afther their owner'a dead).

Thats a very tricky situation. Since you have addressed it, there is not much else besides just making sure you keep yourself safe. If affordable, try to get a industrial anti bark device you can setup in the most dangerous area of the yard. Unfortunately and fortunately, this breed is very protective and there's not much the owner can do. The dog does have to live its life, and she is bringing them in when they get out of control, which is pretty much the best she can do

For purely practical reasons, when people decide to own a dog like this, they should also take out a good insurance policy in case Fido decides to hurt someone. You can lose your house if someone loses his/her life or is injured severely because the dog attacks.

@SoCalPresa Thank you for your reply. My neighbour, however, is not the owner. The owner lives down the street. My neighbour has it at her house every day because the owner lives in an upstairs flat and goes to work. She doesn't have to have it in her garden at all. The actual owner should never have had this dog in a flat when he works. He struggles to restrain it when he takes it out for a walk as it tries to attack other dogs, and it rears up at people if they walk past. He refuses to have it neutered as he says that he wouldn't let his 'boy' have anything done that he wouldn't have done to himself! That is the mentality! At least it might calm it down.
