I’m too lazy to look up the clip but I’m pretty sure Joe actually said “just because you hit each other” - meaning the husband beats his wife, which he probably does, which is why he flipped out Edit: looked it up, Joe says: “if you and your husband hit each other, that’s one thing” lol
@@Herbert-dy1uf not in BJJ I don't think, I think he earned that around 2012? Could be wrong. He had already won a taekwondo open championship by the age of 19 though so he was already trained in some form of martial art that utilised those absolutely devastating kicks he's capable of.
Some of us knew. I knew from the second I saw the fight between him and Andy Dick on Newsradio. It was fake as hell but you could just tell from his built and the way he moved he knew some legit shit. Then he popped up on the UFC
The Miz, Johnny Fairlplay and Joe Rogan all in one. Its too bad Fairplay was too much of a druggie and alcoholic to do anything with his brief stardom at this time unlike Joe and The Miz who made it big.
@@Jake-jo4fw He wasnt just a troll he ran Survivor Pearl Islands. Even the producers told him that he made it the Johnny Fairplay show with the grandma lie, hes the only person in over 40 seasons to put the producers in a position like that where they had no choice but to make the season about him. Burton loses the game for him too by not reassuring Lil about a final two deal. That took a ton of talent but then you can see in his subsequent reality TV appearances that hes too focused on partying and drugs to do anything similar.
I think that's what he wanted him to hit him for to show off that kick to a quick submission of the type you would never see in a pro fight making him an overnight star. But would he be as big now if it happened then? I'd love if it did but they didn't show the footage until years later.
I remember this exact episode well. If it had legit gone off we would be seeing him in the hospital. And Joe still would have earned the respect of millions of viewers that day for settling that clown down.
No one knew back then Joe was a fighter. Or comedian really. Watching his show years now and how he interacts with so many different types of people (half of the time high or drunk) kinda feels like I know him more than anyone else famous. Why it bugs me when people who don't know him other than negative headlines just believe what they are told from 20 second clips. It would be great to have footage of him knocking out or making that guy beg to be let go we probably wouldn't have seen until years later but still.
@@joebaumann3620 His life I am sure has been quite a wild ride. I remember those days also when he was with the show News Radio. And your 100% right not to many ppl had any idea of his martial arts background until that fateful day on FF and then more information around him surfaced. I bet he would have had the Dali LLama on if he was alive. The quality of guests and conversation on his PC is incredible. Almost reminds me of very early shows like 60 mins and Barbara Walters was still in the picture. He has my respect and has not done a thing to ever change my opinion on himself. He is what he is and doesn't pretend otherwise. Exactly how I carry myself. You may not like what you see and hear but you know I am 100% genuine and true to myself and those around me. Same as Joe.
@@Rocksolace This would be right around the time The Miz was coming off the independent circuit into the WWE so my guess 2003-2006 being as this is from Season 6 of Fear Factor I would saying more like 2005-2006
@@EliteSnake Bunch of kids. The Miz started off on an MTV show called "The Real World." I believe that was back in 2000. He then started doing the "reality TV" circuit. This was way before the WWE.
@@goldytwatus1674I’m in my 30’s and I knew that shit as well, so my assumption was also that these are kids in their 20’s who only knew him as the Miz.
My wife weights 92 lbs, I outweigh her by 100lbs. She once got mad at me and said she was going to hit me. I told her the day she does that she's going to be single because I've never even threatened to hit her so there's no way I'm going to allow her to do that to me. Men need to always press charges and not allow anyone to hit them in anger. It doesn't make you less of a man for allowing a woman to hit you, you'll only enable that hateful behavior and action.
Men always remember to record yourselves after you call the police. As soon as women see the cop car coming the waterworks and lies will start flowing.
@@Wordbird69 This is exactly what I mean. There's a double standard if a big strong man hits a small petite woman we all say she should press charges but not when it's the other way around. That's hypocrisy. I say if an adult has to resort to hitting another adult always press charges. The majority of men have bee raised to believe that it's ok and it's manly to just take the abuse. No it's not, it just mean you're weak and afraid of her leaving you and that's why they allow physical abuse. After a while maybe years guys snap and one day end up just killing her. I'd rather be alone then allow a woman to think she can physically assault me. At the end of the day most men are pussies and afraid of women.
This episode just aired locally the other day lmao Joe stood his ground so confidently cause all of his prior training, he had him pinned and the guy couldn’t do shit 😂 I was laughing so hard
@@sammythesuesarthouse Yeah we're gonna have to get used to the fact that the next generation of people will probably only know Joe as the 'podcast guy.'
@@GuyWithAPS5 Joe's an actual fighter. He's won MMA tournaments via knock outs and stuff. EDIT: People seem to be getting their panties in a bunch. Sure, he wasn't MMA, I used that term very loosely, but the overarching point I'm making is that he's waaay more than a skill-less board breaker.
GSP came to Joe to learn how to do a proper spinning side kick. There are videos of him making some guy fly through the air with that move. Joe would dominate an average guy and anyone who says different is a fool.
The guy was screaming in Joe Rogan's face like a drunk idiot in a parking lot, in the meantime Joe was looking at the guy like he was food. Absolutely hilarious.
My goodness this is the very definition of messing with the wrong dude. This is a good lesson for anyone out there picking fights, you have no idea what anyone is capable of. A bad fight can ruin a life and can end a life. Don't be stupid let calmer heads prevail. There is for sure a time to fight and we should all be ready for that but a dude cutting you off in traffic or something of that sort shouldn't be that offense that sparks that moment. This guy's got sooo lucky.
So true man.. The last thing i wanna do is fight.. If i have two hands and two feet so does my opponent but I think weak people want to show that they are tough.
If Joe is a real martial artist the last thing he would do is serverely injure someone unnecessarily. You people act like Rogan is some loose cannon karate kid waiting for an excuse to murder someone.
I was gonna say. That dude has lived a life. Went from MTV road rules to breaking up a Joe Rogan fight to being a huge professional wrestler. Dude has had one crazy ride.
He was also at woodstock 99. There is a netflix documentary on it and the stock footage from 1999 and all the destruction is in that series. The miz was there. He was like 19. Crazy shit.
@@GuyWithAPS5 Incorrect. I pointed out a second rate troll. I never commented on anything else. Try finding someone who knows how to read and have them explain this to you. Now get back to your coloring book.
I remember watching this as a kid, I was shook, back then before the reality shows, it was not normal to watch people fight on TV, now that’s called a Tuesday 😂
I love that fact that some people just have literally no idea what fighting feels like, like Joe put the silliest muay thai plum on the guy and he just becomes helpless.
I know right? Like that dude had no clue what to do or that his face was in the perfect position to get kneed into next week. The same dudes will act so big and tough too lol.
I also think that many martial artists dont take "untrained" people seriously and have no idea how to handle a psychotic and fully resisting opponent with a high pain tolerance, possibly under the influence of drugs, and dedicated to killing you. The mental toughness and ability to remain in control is not something martial arts can really teach by itself.
He knew it was being filmed and knew if he got the guy to hit him he'd be an instant star in the fighting world. I think he would have played with him maybe hitting him once or one of his crazy strong leg kicks then knowing the guy didn't know martial arts use a submission no one has ever seen before that would never work on a real fighter. Would have been famous long before his podcast. But then again might not have started it.
Remember watching the episode and laughing my ass off when the guy from Survivor was making them argue and cry. Didn't know much about Joe back then but it sure would be nice to have had that guy hit him to see how skilled he was and still is into his 50's.
I love that joe goes "well I know this is going on television...so I gotta play calm" and thats it, that right there is the genius of Joe Rogan. He knows what sells so well, thats why hes number 1 in the podcast game.
I remember watching this episode thinking this guy is going to kill Joe Rogan. Oh boy, how wrong this guy and I were 🤣. Imagine if Joe would have hit him with a leg kick 💀
i´ve seen the whole situation on the show, Joe could really hurt the guy when he got him on the headlock, he obviously chose not to, that´s called being a martial artist, when you reach a certain level of skill HUMILITY is the way you show it, and that´s what Joe did, controled the situation WITHOUT having to hurt the guy...
This comment wont be popular with the little boys in the thread that think you need to show out and hurt people to prove you are a man. They obviously dont realize things like empathy, humility, protecting your resources, your freedom, your ability to provide for your family. All they understand is unchecked ego and pride which is what fills the prisons.
That guy is one lucky man. Imagine if Joe didn't have the self control that he does. I wonder if that guy looks back and says "Whew....dodged a bullet on THAT one."
In my early teen years, I once had a neighborhood girl literally kick my butt all over the yard. I could do nothing. I said to my Dad, "you said to never hit a lady!" His reply? "Son, any girl that hauls off and hits you....is no lady." Point made Dad, point made.
@@MegaPerson012345 Teenage BS. She didn't like my face. I was ugly. That sort of teenage BS. Ironically enough, we became great friend later and I even went to her wedding.
the fact Joe was able to keep his head and didn't rip that guy to shreds shows how much training he has had... cause when you've trained most of your life you know what you're capable of....
The funny part was Joe was aware enough that he was being tape, The guy actually thought he worked beat Joe up, but little did he know if Joe really wanted to he could've back kick that guy into next week, This is a time not to many people knew about mma, and how deadly Joe was
I like how the video matches the way Joe tells the story. Because I’ve seen far too many times people recall stories and they tweak minor things to make themselves sound cooler but this seems to be dead accurate. Good ole Joe
I don't know much about Joe Rogan but I've seen some clips with some crazy guests in his podcast and it seems that was always good by keeping it cool and not letting the moment take the best out of him 😂😂
yea i dont think so, joe goes and grabs the guys hair like a little bitch! i bet hes the kind of guy that would kick a dude in the nuts during a fight !
The crazy woman eating rocks looking at her doctor : "I'm okay, there's no problem!" That guy: "We scream and we hit each other! It's OK! We're fine! It's normal!" Guy falling off a building saying : "Until now, everything's fine" at the 20th floor and the 10th floor and the 1st "Splouch!" No more problem!! The ghost saying : "See?! Do you see a problem?! There's no problem!" Joe had the best reaction. You don't argue with a narcissist like that.
You honestly think that fcktrd is still married to her?? Her friends & family got to see the unvarnished side of him, that they probably have never seen before. She probably divorced his butt shortly after that aired.
Thats actually a very interesting idea. Everybody has a story and it'd be funny to see them laugh about it now because I'm sure that dude realized what an idiot he was. Time heals all.
Imagine he comes on the podcast and they both do dmt, shrooms, weed and liquor and in the end they fight again but its a joke to fool the audience and they hug it out

My favorite part of this whole thing is The Miz trying to break them up. The fact that this was just after he'd signed with the WWE, makes it even more hilarious. That being said, I actually feel bad for that guy, that 20 years on, this is still what they remember him for. The guy might've changed by now. Hard to sympathize with Fairplay. I'll admit, he had it coming, but rules are rules. And I've always wondered what would happened if you assaulted a fellow contestant on one of these shows. Now we know.
If a woman hit a man, some other simp nearby come to defend that woman beacuse "she must had a reason to hit him right"? Actually happen to me when me and my ex was drunk and met a saturday night. She hit me and screamed at me for no reason at all, she was just drunk and mental, and then 2 big dudes coming over to defend her. Most disgusting shit I have ever experienced. And yes, I have never been outside partying in public after that, it literally destroyed me.
