Ineteresting. I never had any true bypass pedals in my chain. The reason is that all BOSS pedals have buffer and I always had BOSS pedals in chain. These were checked and working pedals. Nothing I realy payed attention to. If it sounds good, it is good, and BOSS pedals sounded better then many other brands. I also had this IBANEZ plastic "metal" pedal. Man that sounded horrible. After hearing that sound I never bought another non BOSS pedal. I was worrying that more pedals in chain equals more signal change, so i never put more then 4-5 pedals in the chain, and that seemed to work.
