This is in, what is it? Claire, MI? I'm from Petoskey but was living in Arkansas at the time. Or maybe not. Was this 2016? I remember my buddy, a youngun' I had recently turned on to Ween in 2013 went to this show. Cuz this was just after Exercise Man and The Deaner Album came out, wunnit? I would have still been in Michigan then, and missed it.
I don't really like that he was tryna bait him at the end there. It seemed outta line, especially since Mickey sounds so sad that Ween broke up at the time.
Handled it like a pro, though. This guy’s supposed to be a fan right? Why would he ask such a misinformed and baiting question? It’s obvious to any Ween fan that Ween is two halves making up one whole, and that’s why it’s so great.
@@michaelslowmin when he says "without me there's no ween, without aaron there's no ween, that's obvious now" he sounds really sad, like he knows he can't capture the magic on his own. That's my take on it anyway.
What a strange question. I think it's plain to see for every long time Ween fan to see that Ween is Aaron and Mickey. There's no single person who has superiority. Mickey answered it very well, though. It's great going back and listening to this knowing the boys are back together and absolutely tearing it up live. Aaron and Mickey are my Lennon and McCartney. I love their humor, sincerity, and outlook on life. I live 20 minutes from Shorts in Bellaire. It stung extra hard that I didn't get to see Deaner play there.
