This era of music can and will never be matched. There’s just something about soul heart wrenching music. Makes me want to try back to this time period and stay.

The absolute peak of Country Soul. It simply never got any better then Mr. Tex. His work with Buddy Killeen will stand as testament to the what country music could and should have been for all of it's existence. A few got a shot to show what they could do in the field, but it was too short of a list.

I begged my Mother to give me the name of Mr. Tex because this song was HEAVY on my mind today. I grew up listening to this with my Grandmother. This song is a great lesson and it's timeless. I remember when i first heard this song. Listening on the radio we could pick up a station from Nashville in Fort Wayne Indiana I was with my friend to Dwight Jones still love it loved it then still love it!
