He wasn’t drunk? When I quit drinking seven years maybe nine years ago now, I immediately quit sounding drunk. Immediately. After being drunk pretty much non-stop for twenty some years. Don’t get me wrong, I was a high functioning alcoholic. I only barely began to slur my words slightly after about forty beers. Thirty if they were tall boys. Forty beers is drinking real hard. Had to a day off to get that many in. Usually, people didn’t know I had consumed as many as I had because I wouldn’t slur my words, or stumble around. I was still way more intelligent than most and was a real asshole about it. God I am so grateful that isn’t me any more. I don’t give joe any grief for imbibing if he wants to, or has too. If he’s straight in that clip, then he needs a note from a neurologist stating that his speech is the result of acute brain damage that doesn’t affect his other motor skills, if he’s gonna be driving around you know. He obviously played the guitar just fine and recalled the story of how it became an eagles song. He sounds drunk to me though. And a little hard of hearing now.

The ground was literally shaking and rattling. Not a single person seated. Joe came out to Rocky Mountsin Way and it’s one of the coolest fuckin things I’ve ever seen. They liked to appear there because it was a quiet vacation spot near a lake called Clear Lake in Northern California.... unfortunately it’s no longer there. I will say this about Frey. After reading a certain book, I decided that Glen Frey was a envious jerk. That said, both Glen Frey and Don Henley easily recognized talent. That's certainly what they saw with Joe Walsh. I can't think of any one album of Walsh's that I like better. Also, Walsh never comes off as arrogant. He seems like someone whom truly loves his craft, and appreciates all of his fellow musicians.

Kenny was a little older than the rest so, not knowing who he was, I asked him who'd he played with and how he started in the business. Humble sweet guy, I learn he co-wrote Rocky Mountain Way with Joe Walsh. He hung for 30 minutes or so. It was really cool, one of those moments you think back on and smile.
