Joel and Greg explain the construction of our new perimeter Timeless Fence installation. We like building an attractive strong functional fence once and being done with it. With our Timeless Fence Posts, building fence is fun and quick to install. The Timeless posts is pre-drilled, pre-sharpened, and has a UV coating to prevent the surface from sun degradation. You can use a standard steel post driver to install them. Each post has a depth mark on it to prevent you from driving the post to deep. I am a Timeless Fence rep and simply love promoting the best electric fence post in the world.
Call Timeless Fence at 1-800-788-4709, tell them Greg sent you!,

Great when you quiz your young crew. Good for them to have to teach us. The best test of knowledge is to share it with others.

Wood rots from the end because end-grain is the most vulnerable to moisture which is needed for most all decay. Capping the posts AND pulling the metal over the plank like that is great--now there will be less moisture trapped between the board and the post. Good move.

Smart move on the metal roofing scraps to cap the posts. There are creosote posts with aluminum caps that my grandfather put in 40 -50 years ago that will not need replaced in my generation and possibly the next.

Thanks for the video! It sure looks nice. When the ground is moist, I can pound a timeless fence easily. Customer service at timeless is also great along with the posts. I put my new fencer up. My other one was a 2 joule and this one is 6 joule. What a difference it makes. It was 6kv and now 8-10kv.

Never put round corners in your corral. Bud Williams, the smartest cattle handler ever born would roll over in his graze if he heard you say that. Cattle do not like rounded corners, they ball up in them. Square corners, cattle can move where you want them, rounded corners are a no-no!!!

Greg how many feet between those post. Have a 3 plank vinyl fence around house and it’s been up 25 years. The cows walk through it break it molds. Have high tensile fence up as cross fences. Wood post staples come out and grounds its self out.

Greg, I’m curious how you roll up your old high tensile wire. Do you use the spinning jenny somehow?

He uses a spinning jenny. If you get a spinning jenny, make sure you get a commercial spinning jenny. They sell them at timeless fence and powerflex.

16 feet apart is the post spacing. The diameter is 1.5” and the length of the post is 60”.

Just curious - why not use all those cedar posts for the corral?
@brucemattes5015
@brucemattes5015 6 месяцев назад
*Eastern red cedar, aka juniperis Virginiana, aka juniper, is not as rot resistant as true Western red cedar, aka Thuja plicata; which means that the Timeless fence posts will outlast the juniper posts by at least 2 decades, even if their longevity is not as long as Timeless is projecting them to last.*
@tbbbbb123
@tbbbbb123 6 месяцев назад
What I'm asking about is replacing the treated wood posts in the corral with the cedars. The Timeless and their design to go with electricity is a class by itself. @@brucemattes5015
@gregjudyregenerativerancher
@gregjudyregenerativerancher 6 месяцев назад
The reason I did not use cedar posts is because I don’t want to rebuild it in 10 years. Cedar posts in our area rot off at ground level in 8-10 years. Build it right and be done with it. Doesn’t make sense to build thugs twice simply because you used inferior materials.
