JJ Reddick said his favorite team to watch is the Mavs. He’s certainly not a casual. Also the Mavs aren’t just 2 guys going iso. They actually share the ball really well. Celtics did a great job of taking that away game 1 as their whole gameplan was not allow Luka to playmake and make the Mavs play iso which is why they struggled on offense. The Mavs have moved the ball very well all of the playoffs tho which is why they always have 1 random player go off. Maxi had a 20 point game, PJ had multiple 25+ games, DJJ had 20+ games, Hardy & THJ 15+ games etc. not to be rude but that comment of yours was a casual take lmao. I can tell you don’t watch the Mavs which is fine but pretending you understand a team you don’t watch is wild. Mavs are a top 2 team for a reason, and 2 guys going iso all game isn’t the reason. I expect iso ball in game 2 and depending on how it goes I think the Celtics will change their game plan if Luka can punish them. We’ll see tho, Celtics are certainly the better team

I mean I get the run wasn’t the most challenging on for Boston but back in the showtime’s era the league just wasn’t that competitive playoff wise if you going up against a team with 3 stars. That’s one of the reasons why magic vs bird supposedly saved the league at that time. It was a new high level of competition coz if one or the other didn’t exist bird or magic would’ve just dominated and the league probably would’ve seemed boring from the outside. A lot of people expected a great series after what they did to Denver. Ant and KAT were even more underwhelming than Jalen Williams and Chet. Dallas is playing as I expected. OKC and Minnesota played closer to how I expected they'd play to start the season

Boston is clearly the better team, but pretending picking Dallas is wild makes no sense. It wasn’t wild to pick the wolves over Dallas even tho the Mavs won in 5 because we know how dangerous the wolves are and they were peaking at the right time. I think Boston will win but I think Dallas has a chance. Even if Dallas gets swept I won’t feel foolish for saying Dallas has a chance. They have the clear best player in the series and have a roster that’s capable of beating anyone. Whether or not they do beat anyone is still to be seen but they certainly can. Whereas teams like the Pacers were never gonna win a 7 game series against a healthy Boston team.
