I believe the message of this song is that it really matters how you see your life, because your attitude positive or negative will be reflected in everything, the things you do, the people you speak with, etc. And that, no matter what happens to you, you have to be positive and happy all the time to make your life happen the way you want to

I suffer from depression, this has help me so much realise how by being more positive, things are pressived better, no more bad days

The moment at the end, when both of his versions meet brings such deep emotions to me. It hits me so profoundly i get tears in my eyes almost every time. It's like your higher self telling you its alright and you can actually be happy, and that seems so far out there to you. but it just tells you it's okay. And is glad to see you alive, giving you a pat on your back.

It's incredible how well this song portrays just how much your general mindset can effect your perception of the world around you, it's so easy to get trapped in your own head and become unable to truly see the world in colour. I've loved how this song makes me feel for a while now but it's only after was able to escape my own brain that I could actually understand the meaning. Remember to love yourselves people and always search for a different perspective on things if all you're able to see is the negatives 💜

I love this music video so much because the ending implies that there’s hope to finding happiness even when living a shitty life - I think a lot of us feel down about ourselves because life didn’t pan out exactly the way we wanted to, but that’s okay - it doesn’t have to. Not everyone is going to get what they want, but to me that just means appreciating what we already have, and doing what we can to better ourselves for our own sake and not others.

Love this song and can relate to the video so much. Two years ago I was in a job I hated, and got seriously ill from the stress it was causing me. Decided enough was enough and resigned after a long period of sick leave. I now I have a job I love with a group of lovely, positive people and haven't looked back since.

This video is amazing! Many people can identify with feeling like the man on the left: depressed, sad, and overcome by life. The ending was powerful because it shows that even in the midst of sadness, joy is also available. After joy disappears (the man on the right) we see sadness (the man on the left) gain color in his hair and skin which represents him finding joy, though life hasn’t yet changed. Before joy disappears it’s like he’s telling sadness that everything is going to be ok which couldn’t be more true. Though sometimes it can feel like life won’t change, we have to keep going until we get to the other side of sadness and can find joy again. Things will get better!
