Joel Embiid becomes the first 76ers player to put up a 50+ points game in a postseason game, since Allen Iverson in 2003.
Led by Joel Embiid’s Playoff career-high 50 points (13-19 FG, 5-7 3pt. FG), the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the New York Knicks, 125-114. Embiid added 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the 76ers in the victory. The 76ers trail the Knicks, 2-1, in this best-of-seven series, with Game 4 taking place on Sunday, April 28 (1:00 pm/et, ABC).
Embiid is the third 76ers player to record 50+ points in a postseason game, joining:
Allen Iverson (3x)
Billy Cunningham

The NBA/refs got what they wanting in gifting the Sixers the win. In a game where Embiid clearly should have been kicked out with a flagrant 2, the Sixers also had 33 free throws to just 19 for the Knicks. Longer series=more money and better ratings for the NBA/refs. We'll see if the Knicks can beat the refs and Sixers in game 3.

Looks like the Bell's Palsy helped his shooting. He was LONG overdue to finally have a hot shooting hand, just by chance. He's still averaging EIGHT 3-pt attempts a game, is underperforming on the boards, rim-protection, and defence. At this point, he's pretty much the same as having KAT (that shoots more free-throws) on your team 🤷🏻‍♂️💀💀💀

How about instead of everyone complaining about the 21 free throws, why don’t any of you watch the game and realize that knicks were intentionally fouling to prevent buckets. I get that he should be ejected but don’t act like 21 ft is egregious when knicks were all over him.

Even when Embiid does something right y’all are still hating. Always coming up with excuses and acting like he’s not one the best players in the world. Yeah he should’ve been ejected for that foul on robinson and he deserves all the ridiculing for that but then he scores 50 in a playoff game and he still gets shit. Refs gifting him 21 freethrows and looked the other way when he was intentionally trying to injure knicks players. A new chapter in Playoff History indeed. Wouldn't care if he scored 100 that way. Just a trash human being.
