U talkn bout buddy who went scoreless in one of the biggest games in his life? The guy who cried in the car after kwaih bust his asz at the buzzer beater with a quadruple bounce splash? Yeah iight
@@dontAtMe69420 Yeah it is crazy- especially because playing Denver is completely useless for the Sixers and Embiid lmao fans thinking Embiid is ducking a non conference non rival who he just cooked is laughably dumb as fuck
@@Mark_Cadden Yeah you're right, it doesnt matter. I initially thought it does matter for Sixers and their fans because a potential finals matchup and having Embiid miss half the games would make for bad TV..... but then I realized the Sixers will never make it past the 2nd round with Embiid on the team. So you're right, doesnt matter at all.
Consider this incredible journey: originating from Africa, learning a new sport, being distant from family for over a decade, attending a top 10 college basketball school, entering the NBA, and becoming the MVP all within a span of 15 years………. Joel Embiid utilized his opportunity, and it's truly inspiring. I genuinely appreciate the video you shared, offering valuable insight into his growth and development. I'm incredibly grateful to know Embiid’s story. Moreover, the coaches played a significant role in instilling confidence in him and fostering a deeper understanding of the game.
@@st-christian14 there’s a stat like 30% of people 7 foot or taller play some type of professional basketball. Joel is also very genetically gifted with athleticism. Just don’t understand how this is motivating for 99.99999% of people. It’s like a girl winning a beauty contest. How is being born better looking than someone motivating? Joel was born with way better tools than 99.99999% of the population trying to make it professionally in basketball. Makes no sense how this is motivating. It’s actually the opposite.
I mean, yes... And really no. People saw a gold mine in Cameroon and brought him here for development. So yes you say thank you but it's not really charity. Charity would be taking a cripple from Cameroon and giving him a basketball scholarship. They have basketball camps in foreign countries because they're looking for talent not just cuz they want to help guys out. It's nice when both things can be accomplished but I stop short of saying the player owes his everything to individual coaches in highschool
Its so nice seeing this clip. I didn't know that Joel came to the united states at a young age anc learning basketball on the go. He was already all skilled at a tender age. 👍❤
This is so enjoyable and enlightening to watch. This is nice to see a young JoJo @ 15+ yrs old just learning the game of basketball with his raw skills. You see right away why he is such a fun loving person and jokes around. How intelligent he was able to learn the game. He was a soccer player initially as a kid in Africa and now he started learning the game of basketball at the center position.. Now, he is known domestically and internationally as one the highest athletic and talked about personalities to this day.
This team was the definition of loaded. B Green #14 put up numbers at Tift County. Great to see Embiid put in the time and effort to get to where he is now. He truly trusted the process.
Been a fan of Joel since his rookie year and now seeing him dropping 70 piece on Kobe's 81-point-game Day is truly inspiring and amazing and might as well applaud him for dominating the paint against the Alien.
Doesnt suprise me at all, alot of the best ppl in there professions started out like this, they arent always the ppl that look the best, but the ppl who just continued to improve and dont stop
This is pure talent , that soft touch and shot around the glass is not something you teach, Lots of super tall NBA players who’ve played they whole lives have yet to be that smooth
Not one guy is trying to bring down Joel. Look at him now coach asked for 10 pts…years later he dropping 70. I betchu Joel has reimbursed that coaching staff’s investments well beyond it’s worth
That’s crazy all them guys were way more popular and ranked ahead of him to see where he is now is crazy Chris walker = flop Kasey hill = flop Chris Davenport = flop Brannen green = flop Demarcus croaker = body builder Joel embid = NBA ALL-STAR MVP !!!!
I’m telling you the era of HS basketball players from 08-14 was crazy. I mean now we have some athletic freaks every now and then but It’s not coincidence that was the boom of hoops mixtapes
@@Christian-eq6pqbeing big and athletic didn’t take a spike in those 6 years and just fall off a cliff right after, if anything it’s gotten even crazier, it’s just that’s when u stopped paying attention
Cant believe Billy Donovan let Joel get out of. Gainesville without signing with UF first. He signed 2 players in this video (Hill & Walker) but not Joel.
I see more jelousy from teammates then jokes, they knew he was taking the spotlight, so all they had was to try to mess with his confidence, to bad he was built differently
