0:00 Max says Joel Embiid is the best player in the league this season. 2:17 Stephen A. says he won't pick Embiid over Davis based on resume alone. 4:00 Max notes how Embiid is in the best shape of his career and looks to what's ahead for Embiid's career.
Lol ESPN wants u to skip Stephen A’s opinion in between & go straight to Max lol 😂, even they know Stephen A speaks 75% non-sense & 25% facts. ESPN putting time stamps is just 😂😂
I really hate boogie had those injury because he was clearly better than both of them on offense was a better scorer and passer but they are better on defense
Iguodala is so underrated like he can literally shut down LeBron and then go down the court and dunk on him. He can do everything bro and I would have him on my team over a lot of of these players any day no cap 💯
Thats not the question. The question is who would you rather have in general. If they are both healthy playing at their best who would you rather have and the only answer to that is AD
@@d1okobe510 Yes but these guys are bringing up AD’s resume like it was significantly better than those other two, when it actually wasn’t as great as Embiid’s and Jokic’s until he teamed up with Lebron.
@@cameronknights2690 In 7 seasons with the Pelicans, AD has made the playoffs twice as an eighth and sixth seed. Rondo and Jrue Holiday weren’t superstars but they were quality players. I’m not saying that he should’ve won a championship or anything but Jokic played in that same conference with higher seeds and actually beat higher quality teams in the playoffs.
Jokic is very different than Anthony Davis or Joel Embiid. Jokic is a swiss army knife Platinum plated, but it doesn't mean he is the likes of an AD or Embiid.
Stephen A Smith: Embiid got swept out the first round, AD won a ring AD played w/ LeBron James, Embiid played w/ Ben Simmons....please don’t mention rings when talking about the two
yeah cause ad just came off a championship win and had injury problems on his right foot, we all saw in the bubble that the injury was slowing him down a little bit but he barely had a month to recover, embiid was swept in the first round and had plenty of rest
What ?? Embiid had 28,6,4 off 44% FG and 33% from 3. AD had 26,8,3 off 50% FG and 33% from 3. They literally had the same stats unless you thinking scoring 2 more points and assisting 1 more equates to outperforming someone
@@protector_of_the_realms Jokic does play defense. You understand who Embiid and AD are surrounded by right? Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Matthise Thybulle, Shake Milton Tyrese Maxey - Lebron, KCP, Marc Gasol, you have to acknowleedge that the NUGGETS are bad defensively, and that doesn't necessarily mean Jokic is, he's smart on the pick and roll and it shows in his steals stats. You a child.
Yeah. AD isn't playing that well this year. I think if AD is healthy, I think I rather have AD in the playoffs still. AD to me is just more versatile defensively even if Embiid is slightly better offensively. That said, I'm not willing to the die on that hill because Embiid has been phenomenal this season.
@@mlrd2687 its obviously not because of his color my man, in my opinion Jokic is the best offensive player between the three(not by much), but hes miles behind in defense
Every time AD met Embiid, Embiid schooled him and add Gainnis to that too Embiid own both of them go check your records. They're nice on other people but not with Embiid!!!
The disrespect towards Jokic has gone too far smh. This man could literally play point center and take care of the ball just as good as any gaurd in the league. At least wait for embiid to make the ECF before you say he’s the best I can’t take espn seriously sometimes.
Right now I believe the best center ever or the center I want in my all time starting 5 is hakeem but when it’s all said and done a 100 percent locked in and fully healthy embiid could be the greatest ever
@@JayBee2Fya The Dream still is, the most complete complete C in history until maybe Embiid's all said and done. Numbers may be different but that is also because of the kind of basketball played in both eras e.g. less blocks for Embiid and more 3's for him since the game is played further from the basket now. What matters is I love them both with Hakeem being the foundation of Embiid's game and developing it further.
Yea Embiid is a new version of Hakeem But he's not as complete just yet. Hakeem is statistically the greatest defensive center ever. The boy is young though we'll see. He's like shaq and Hakeem combined
@@thequinlanshow3326 KD makes sense, Jokic and Embiid apply so far this season, but if you think Zion is better than AD you do not watch basketball lol
@@Arturo_Kilgore_Morgan I'm not saying Zion is better right now, if I was drafting a team to start this season I would want him purely because he's younger with less health concerns.
@@systematicjim9295 No I really do and your knowledge seems to be lacking. When the other 2 guys are leagues ahead on the most important end of the floor and even just around the level on offense even though they're even arguably better on that end too, it's not a debate. Embiid plays better in head to head with Jokic anyway and is the leading mvp candadite, AD destroyed him in the play-offs and was the 2nd best player on a championship team during the finals and even looked like the FMVP for the first couple of games but wad definitely the best player on our squad in regular season I'd argue
@@protector_of_the_realms how dumb are you, first of all jokic outplayed AD in the playoffs last year and the lakers only won because they have another top 5 player in the league while Jamal Murray was too inconsistent; jokic runs the entire nuggets offense playing point guard and center at the same time with better scoring, passing, rebounding, and shooting percentages than AD, and just because jokic doesn't get as many blocks as AD doesn't mean he's leagues behind on defense- he's top 15 in defensive +- and top 10 in steals because of how smart of a defender he is; he's way better than AD this year and right up there with Embiid
AD just for his performances in the playoffs. Averaging 30ppg in his entire playoff run in New Orleans against Golden State and Portland And being the best defender on the court during those games were incredible ! Ppl are not hightlighting that
I'm going to say Joel embiid only because Anthony Davis for some reason cannot shake the fact that even though he started off young playing as a guard he grew into a center and he just cannot shake the fact that he is not a point guard anymore he is now the center and he needs to get down low and put his back to the basket the reason he isn't more dominant and I've watched all of his games is because he likes to play from the outside in instead of the inside out if you notice this year Joel embiid is starting to realize that he can dominate people with his strength so he is doing that and then he is complimenting it with the outside play second
Great breakdown. Sometimes I wish AD would just realise how big he is and impose his dominance on everyone. But having that guard mentality is why he's unique and is the way he is
You're right. He doesnt play like a big and cant body up bigger centers and he shoots WAYYY WAY too many jumpers. Even when being guarded by SFs, he still only tries to shoot over them instead of trying to get inside and get easy post hooks and drop steps, etc. Joel just dominates everyone with his size and even still has the ability to shoot the midrange easily over people. They are definitely 1A and 1B. Just depends on what you want from them. Jokic and KAT would be the next best bigs in my opinion.
@@l3ka263 ad and joel should be playing at the same level. They are literally the same player with ad being quicker with nore ball handle and quicker movements but they do the same thing there is no excuse for AD playing like a guard at his height
Just prove these guys just talk because they get pay to talk.. but if you listen carefully most of the times, you will notice they flip flop more than politicians.
Ok so there needs to be a distinction on what is and what isn’t a “big man” because I classify big men as strictly centers. So guys like Joel and Jokic are big men whereas AD is a forward imo. AD can play center sometimes but that’s not his primary position and he always plays with an actual center next to him.
That’s exactly how Duncan ruled for so long. Playing the 4 when he really should’ve been playing the 5 after Robinson retired. I agree Davis isn’t a “big man” in the traditional sense. Not like Drummond, who too many people think is useless because he doesn’t shoot 3’s, or Gobert, who also gets his points in the paint at the offensive end, and protects the rim at the defensive end.
@@BobothyThe1st well then I can say Derrick Rose would have probably been best PG ever if he was healthy but he couldn't stay healthy, if he's not on the court what does help the Sixers. I honestly never see the Sixers winning a championship because Embiid misses every other game.
Basketball Refernce has Nikola Jokic with a 38% probability to win MVP and Embiid is 2nd with a probably of 20%....yet....no Jokic in the conversation? Lol this is infuriating.
@@skirmisher10 Jokić have more steals, more deflections, more defensive rebounds and more box outs then Embiid. Embiid is on 🔥 but trying to end the argument "Jokić is bad defender" is just lazy
@@skirmisher10 Fun fact: Top 3 PER leaders atm: 1. Nikola Jokic 2. Joel Embiid 3. Giannis Antetokounmpo And also AD would be up here if he played like his normal self and wasn't injured... And it's a "guard's" league...
@@michaelwright6795 yes your comment is the dumbest of all time because he is truthful in his statement. If Jokic was black you would praise him more plain and simple
@@anwjuice jokic could be black or purple he’s not better than embiid and he definitely isn’t better than AD. As we saw in the playoffs when AD outplayed him
@@strangelakers1079 Embiid is playing at MVP level. Media says Embiid is playing at MVP level. Career wise Joel is entering his prime and is a more dominant player on both ends of the court compared to AD.
I’ve had enough of this. AD has Lebron so I don’t want to hear about a resume. Before Bron what resume did he have. I watched Embiid destroying AD easily when they matched up and Bron had to hit dude while he was in the air which slowed him down. Foh with AD. Embiid is the best big man. AD doesn’t even want to play Center.
@@fackumean4371put joel embiid on that lakers team it's a playoff sweep sweep u gotta remember that the sixers had the worst roster contruction among playoff team i think that this years joel is last last years joel just with a better lineup
Because they are idiots. Dude plays this season better than anyone, his team is very weak and that's the reason why he wouldn't win MVP, this Jokic's season for now is better than any other Lebron's season in his career, dude have everything, but haven't good team.
@@damian7509 yeah, you can watch statistics and you will see that Lebron's best season in 2013 isn't so good like Jokic's now. I don't talk about play offs, just regular season.
@@str8rippi I'd like to believe you but it's just that every single statistic says otherwise. And when they play head to head, and you give it the eye test, Embiid gives AD the business...it's not really close, but it's not fair to AD because he is really a PF and isn't nearly as strong as Embiid.
Favorite Characters From WandaVision 1. Wanda 2. Vision 3. Fake Pietro 4. Agatha Harkness 5. Darcy 6. Jimmy 7. Monica 8. Dottie ^ Can't think of any more characters I like. I want to know more about Dottie. The actress who portrays her is pretty old at 47 but she's still a babe. The Boys is the better show so far than WandaVision. No doubt about it. At least the first season (8 episodes) have been more impressive. The characters and storylines are more interesting. Many LMAO moments. I especially love the character with Mystique's powers morphing into a fat guy to blackmail a politician. Thank you, Seth Rogen! But I still watch WandaVision every Friday or Saturday.
If you’re watching both, Embiid looks better RIGHT NOW... and like one of the very best players in the league. But there’s still a way to guard him. I think when each guy is “ON”, at their very best, AD is still a notch or two better just because of how quick and athletic he is.
I don't think this is debatable with all due respect to What Jokic and AD has done so far..Joel Embiid has ticked all the boxes common and that's not even close!!!
If embiid stays motivated and in shape I’d take him over joker because Joel does a lot offensively as well, then there’s that whole defensive end where joker is a 0 at best and a negative in reality.
... bandwagons, that's who. Jokic plays zero defense. Russ putting up triple doubles almost every night. Doesnt mean hes the best PG. Same with James Harden. Doesnt make him the best wing player.
I think the reason why Johnny Lawrence is my favorite character in Cobra Kai is because his mind is still stuck in the 1980s. He doesn't know how to use modern stuff. But 80s content was the best anyway!
im a pelicans fan that was actually happy to see ad get a title. he deserved it with how great and talented he is. that being said, embiid dominated ad whenever they DID matchup together in games.
The fact that you mention a whole another player who’s not even apart of the debate shows you just hating and don’t wanna give Embiid his credit🤣AD’s numbers are down, yes, but all that means is Embiid is playing better than him, give him is credit.
Overall Embiid has a better resume because he has lived in the playoffs as a contender his whole career even with the injuries. AD just got introduced to winning last season.
The Joker 🃏 this is a joke this man been the best big man for the last 3 years. While playing in the west and bringing his team to the playoffs being the main reason why plus he can go all 82. These are 2 things Joel embiid and AD can't do.
Someone should remind Max about a guy named Hakeem Olajuwon. Embiid modeled his game after Hakeem and the only guy to win DPOY,Finals MVP,MVP all in one season. And one of two to have a quadruple double.
Both completely healthy, this isnt even a comparison. AD blows Embiid out the water. He can shoot the mid range/3, guard every area of the floor, superior freethrow shooter, more clutch, can play effectively off ball better, etc.
Jokic is not in the conversation because Denver plays badly, and unofficially because of the lack of melanin in the skin. As for Giannis melanin does not help him since he came to America from Europe. :)
When both are healthy, of course AD is better, far better. In fact, AD is without a doubt the best and most versatile big man in this era of the basketball. I have huge respect for Jokic, Embiid, Giannis and other big players in the league and they have been phenomenal this season, but I have never seen any big player since prime Tim Duncan or Shaq O’Neal who can exhibit AD’s level of dominance and influence in both offense and defense ends during the bubble and AD certainly belongs to another level. Jokic, Embiid, Giannis or whoever the most shining big players are in the current regular season at the moment won’t last more than one or two rounds when comes to playoffs. They will fight hard for stats and MVPs but AD will always end up winning the championship. AD is the true and the only next generational player.
Mother's Milk spoke Tagalog. He has "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley as a ringtone. He also watches Downton Abbey with his wife and I hear he also watches Outlander which was referenced in S2. Love this guy! 🤣
