How on earth does a middle schooler have tk carry THAT much weight? 😂 Never had more than 30 pounds, maybe 40 pounds at most. So did everyone else I was around in school. 60 to 90 doesn't add up unless you're overloading it with things you no longer need

@@nathanrowell4475 my schools are awful💀 we got at least 2-4 books from each class that we didn’t use, 2-3 binders, 3-5 3-subject notebooks, all our supplies, plus library books, and we had to carry chromebooks too which felt like an extra 15 pounds cause of the huge cause they gave us😭

You overlooked 1 very important detail. The scale is him+his bag. So if the scale said 200, and he has 130lb of gear. He would only weight about 70. He's carrying double his own weight

if it was real life, yeah he'd be around that weight considering the gear aND body weight being together. but in game logic, theres no such thing as encumbrance (cause they didnt wanna calculate everything lol) therefore "we only show how much they weigh" (and its probably just to have little fun detail/trivia thing idk)

Most stuff such as gear pieces or other crafting items are depicted WAY BIGGER (by that also heavy); if i recall you can also carry a very limited amount of supply such like a couple of bottles (a couple of kg) some rags and so on. Him being around 75ish kg is perfectly fine, even mpre considering is a scavenger and always on the run. He ain't Abby, where her group have cows in the football field and cook burgers like nothing was

Small issue with this is that the scale would be counting Joels backpack as he is still wearing it when stepping onto the scale. So if joel weighs 91KG with the backpack, this would make joel weigh 20-30KG without his backpack (if his Backpack is weighing the 60ish KG you said is correct). This would mean that not only is joel a light lad, but that he is carrying over 200% of his body weight.

In high school, I stood at 5'8" and weighed a consistent 98 pounds (not intentional), but would wear a backpack full of books to school, and with those books, it weighed a total of 50 pounds. I didn't use my locker, so I'd carry it between classes as well. I hypothesize that this stunted my growth, and if I hadn't done this, I'd be as tall as my younger brother, who's 6' tall. In fact, by the end of my senior year, I had shrunk to 5'7".

Yep. At 25 and a super fit paratrooper (🇨🇦) a 55 pound rucksack was a constant companion. Only strength, youth and endurance made this possible for us maniacs in uniform. 100 to 130 pound rucksack was normal for British paratroopers & Royal Marines during the 1982 Falklands War.
