If you want to see miracles and the power of God, keep your land clean and let it work on its own and I promise you They will come. My yard has been organic for 31 years, I see magic and miracles everyday.
Thank you for doing that interview! To be honest, I almost didn’t watch it, because I’ve seen so many Joel Salatin interviews. They all focus on his farming methods. This was wonderful. Thank you for getting him to talk about his life, beliefs and hope in Christ. He (Christ) is the hope of the world as a whole - the entirety of creation. He alone holds the answers to redeeming our sick soil. I’m so glad I decided to tune into this.
For so long I, too, felt stuck in the middle between the environmentalists and the church. I couldn’t understand how the church didn’t care about the environment, or how the environmentalists didn’t see God’s hand in Creation. So, I wasn’t alone, after all.
we who grew up through 60's and 70's have waited A LONG TIME for this awareness. And conferences where you can attend COMPLETELY relaxed and understood.
Jesus said: " I am the Way, the Truth, and the life.No one comes to the Father except through Me". (John14:6) . thank you Joel and Christa for this video.🙌🙏
I know this is talking about homesteading , but please if you will my daughter Briannah is fighting cancer please keep her in your prayers. Thank you , Rick.
Rick, I will absolutely pray for Briannah...and also for you! God will give you courage and walk through this trial with you. He will not leave you alone. Keep trusting Him. I will pray for her healing!
I will be praying for Briannah's peace and recovery. There's a book called "Outsmart your cancer" which includes several protocols for becoming cancer free. I personally know ppl who've followed some of these methods with incredible results. God bless you and your family through this ordeal and may our precious Lord Jesus Christ heal your daughter.🙏
I missed your videos Christa. Great to have you back on again. Joel is right, its only when Jesus is in you heart life makes sense. You and Joel has inspired me. It has reignited a spark within me. Thank you
I understand. I have always said, I’m too “churchy” for the world and too “worldly” for the church. That has been my life. I’ve tried to conform but was so unsatisfied when I did. I have finally, at 56, realized that God made me this way so to try and be different goes against his will for my life. I am now trying to live my life before God not mankind. There is peace there. Homestead skills are in my blood. I love to garden, preserve, quilt, and enjoy a simpler lifestyle. It’s a beautiful life.
I'm a bit slow, but it took me 35 years to get my Homestead to really thrive. Those who are just waking up, I wish you luck, because at this point failure is not an option.
That was an amazing interview. I am fans of both you and Joel and sure wish that I had access to your country. Because of my vaccine status I may not enter your country from Ontario Canada. I love the idea that Joel gave about homesteading where you are. My husband and I are urban homesteaders and I teach women skills in canning, pressure canning, dehydrating and fermentation. Our dream of having enough property for animals may never come but in our minds we have completely embraced the principles that you both teach wholeheartedly and have directed many who have these opportunities towards your videos/books. May God richly bless the work of your hands for God’s glory.
Hello Kim. I too am saddened by what's going on here in our country, Canada. I'm in the same situation as you are. I'm located in eastern Ontario, west of Ottawa in the valley. I am interested in your woman skills for teaching hands on pressure canning. I'm a gardening lover, live on a farm and only have experience with water bath canning. I hope that there's a way that we can learn from each other.
Joel was already such an inspiration to me but I had no idea he was such a good Christian... now he's a full blown hero! I actually teared up when he said his farm is open to the public 24/7. Joel walks the walk!!!
Wonderful! "Loving your neighbor as yourself", the second commandment of Christ, cannot be done with one selfishly takes from the land without regard for those who will need to live from it in the future.
My first year in a small English garden growing my own things. Thanking God for His amazing creation and learning everyday. A long way to go and then Heaven. How great is our God. X
“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (Rev 11:18, KJV)
Excellent! Praise Jesus that you understand that we are caretakers of the blessings which the Lord bestowe s upon us. To greatly respect and care for the earth, while we are here and each other. Respect the earth, environment, water air, plants, food supply and animals !God s universe and the earth in which we live!!! Love Joel and Christie/ PREPSTEDERS!
Beautiful interview Christa, and yes it was a WONDERFUL Homesteading festival! My husband Kevin and I were so blessed to meet you and to again be inspired by Joel, Dr Grandin, Mr Feek, Mr Rhodes, Shari Salatin etc etc. Loved it so much! I especially love how Joel explains that we can still be Christians who love Jesus AND love and be stewards of the land without bowing to the radical activists trying to convince so many that this can all be explained by science and NOT by God! Keep blessing so many of us with your faith and your knowledge 🥰
Glory be to God, and His mercy. Thank you both, for this excellent video about planting. Very encouraging. Thank u, God , for all that you give us. My promise is, I will start, slowly and gradually to plant different things and get enlightened. Thanks again. 🥰🙏👏👍❤️⭐️✝️🕊🌟
Love, love, love this! He is so very right how we just don't seem to fit in anywhere, but the reason II homestead is because I am a Christian and I feel that the gift of this world God gave to us should be treasured. Christians should be leading the way in being caretakers of this gift. Love this interview! Blessings
Thank you for this interview. Salvation is The most important thing. Otherwise it's all for naught. I am thankful for both of you putting truth out there! Blessings in Christ's name to you both!😊
Thanks Christa for all your video,s and your bible verse,i live on vancouver island, and grow alot of vegetables and canning, freezing Get firewood of the beach and heat the whole house all winter.Pray to God every day to bless all of us
Oh, I am so glad to see you! You have been so missed. You were the very first homestead er in my life. I've learned so much from you ,both homesteading and about our lord Jesus Christ.
As a single mother some of us know what it is to be on the perimeters...thanks guys for bringing the subject up in such a sensitive way...the beauty of understanding. Would love to intern on the farm someday.
Thank you sweet sister for reaching out for us with this opportunity to learn to apply life lessons in leadership, stewardship within conservative faith values environmental impact practices.
Love this guy! So inspiring! I would make a distinction between "neopaganism" and those following the teachings of their ancestors culture, technically reconstruction just because so much has been lost. In my experience I've seen more of the radical mentality from those who practice the new age earth practices that were started in the sixties and seventies.
What a wonderful interview! Thank you so much for bringing this to all of us. Joel actually put into words exactly how I feel about this God created, God blessed, beautiful earth and it’s resources. God bless y’all!❤️
Joel said it! I agree...Here in Pa I'm doing the best of things one day at a time...What I dont grow i get from the Amish, and I'm one of those learned all the lady chores of old I was gifted to learn...God bless my great late great grandmother and grandparents...
I have to stay just out of town too much mortgage to get anything at this point .we are 64 me and 68 .spouse . I work a garden but ant get the spouse to surrender the big house to a tiny one with more land. He built a wine business in the basement.
What a great interview. I am a big fan of both of you. I have always thanked God for my piece of land. I am his steward on this land and I am trying to make it a better place.
I respected Joel before watching this interview - but after, I have a new found respect for him in how he promotes the importance of truly loving Jesus. Thank you for asking him that last question. This short interview was a blessing to me. ❤
Went to small group fer church and happened to see crockpot plastic inserts. I mentioned something about plastic bags out gassing into food . Boy did I get strange looks….they sarcastically said I’m ok with that. Cause I don’t have to clean crockpot 🤦🏻♂️
I've followed Joel for years and read all his books but it was good to hear that he is still fired up after all these years. I have to ask you Christa, do you have native american blood in your hertitage? The teal color of your clothes and the earings etc. reminds me of my native heritage and just wondered. Wheather you are or not, you would fit right in with us who honor our mother earth.
Thank-you, Christa, for bringing us this interview. I am thrilled to hear Mr. Joel's mindset. He is so right! Your content is always relevant and appreciated. God Bless your ministry,(y'all were right around the corner of our Tennessee homestead where we lived for 35 years --house is identical to Rory's😍) Your final interview question was the best one.❤katie
Hahah…..get rid of dog and cat? My dog is my “ alarm” if anyone on property and my cat is a mouser. Loved the interview. It really resonates. Retired and continuing my “ homesteading “ that started with Y2K threat. Be joyful. Blessings to all
The problem is that in 1992 at the Rio Earth Summit, The U-N and world leaders decided to convert us to world communism by using the false excuse of climate change. Also, many environmentalists worship Gaia (earth) as deity. That is not Christian. That said, I consider myself an environmentalist. Just not the climate change alarmist, Pagan kind.
I'm a conservative and love farming, gardening and raising animals & I know many conservatives that do as well - you may be talking about establishment republicans as well as establishment demonazis - so, be carefull - unless you want to sew a bloody field
Such a beautiful interview. Brought a tear to my eye... I thought it was particularly poignant, Joel's description of being caught in between... Don't throw the babies out with the collected rain water just because they have dreads.... or speak of Christ!!! LoLoLoL.... We're those newbie, Christian homesteaders too, and not spring chickens either. But time is what you make it and God ain't done with us until he is. Gotta still move forward for as Joel alludes: God helps those who help themselves! Been fixing up the place to sell here in Gotham (or is it Sodom?) to buy 40 acres or so in the Midwest to build a regenerative, homesteading machine. I only hope we're not too late! It is indeed getting dark out here! I've read a few of Joel's books and have his video series from Canada (The Salatin Semester- which is out of print, I think, but you can still get on ebay right now). I'm reading a lot about a lot! There is so much fantastic information out there now, both the dusted off, forgotten old knowledge, and new techniques and synergy amongst them. I know Joel loves to collect old farming books of which there are a LOT! It's a modern day MOVEMENT and I'm soooo happy to be part of it and that the Right and died-in-the-wool Christians are embracing the REVOLUTION before it's too late! I want to find this conference you speak of and go to it next year!!! I'm studying Permaculture also through Geoff Lawton in Australia and his mentor Bill Mollison's books (who invented the thing). Some pretty amazing food forest stuff going on there and all over the planet! More REVOLUTION. You should look up his "Greening the Desert" project (if you don't already know about it) in the sun blasted desert of Jordan in one of the most hostile environments on earth!!! Permaculture design using nature's (God's) own principles to grow food in a natural, successive, sustainable and ridiculously abundant and nutrient dense way is a new/old miracle and simply WORKS! Geoff found a 2000 year old food forest that had been worked and preserved for many, many, many generations to feed a whole village and the system can be the earth's salvation. I am so happy I discovered your channel and I am going to happily mine it for inspiration and knowledge! Cheers and God Bless!
Become a Buddhist farmer who follows the teachings of Jesus too. Unfortunately, I can't stand the Christian community but am a huge follower of what Jesus taught. Christians have a lot to change and work on.
Jesus claimed to be God (he became flesh and dwelt among us) and also said He was the way, the truth, and the life and that no one could get to God except through Him (His perfect sacrifice for us on the cross). How is that compatible with Buddhism at all?
Tip for backing up a trailer. Put both your hands on the lower part of your steering wheel. If you want to go left turn both your hand to the left and visa versa. That is how easy it is. Thanks for the talk. Yeshua says in Revelations I come speedily and my reward (for what we have done - ACTION) is with Me. I will repay everyone according to their deeds. That is suppose to make us think about this sloppy saved by grace never have to do anything Doctrine which is totally false. The word grace is GEN in Hebrew, It actually means FAVOUR. If I have found favour in your eyes... That already implicated an action first. I have learned so much from MTOI on you tube. Hope you will too. YHVH bless you.
I'm sorry, going off subject , did you sing with the gaether Christmas program i seen a lady in green top that looked like you. Love the show God bless you
