@MrRebar15 you could afford Snap-on in the 70’s, you didn’t want to spend the money. Understandable. If you really meant you couldn’t afford Snap-on it either means you were underplayed as an employee or didn’t do quality enough work to get a higher rate. So you were a mechanic in the early 70’s? You mean to say you are still a mechanic and still can’t afford Snap-on? So let’s say you were 20 years old in 1975. You made the comment in 2000. So you are 60 ish now and have been a mechanic 45 years? What exactly do you do as a mechanic?
It's a tough choice all the tools are amazing, proud fan and advocate of snap on tools. The snap on digital torque wrenches are always amazing, have the smallest 3/8 drive one and have always loved it so ofcourse i am definitely liking the newer style with a higher torque rating, but that cordless 14.4v drill was definitely my favorite from this build. Being an automotive tech you never know what space you might have to squeeze a drill into to get the job done right. Awesome build guys.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.:-((//////////
That Ratchet is the Ships. LOL , well just found the channel I'll look and see which one of the builds I like the best, but this will be hard to beat. Now I know what I want for Christmas next year. Factory 5 are very cool
Build a car for someone like me who has to use hand controls and I'll be impressed. Since October 27 of 2016 after being shot 8x in a robbery at work I haven't been able to build my truck. I miss working on my own stuff.
Damn man that truck turned out sick. I’ve always been a fan of the ffr gtm but this truck has my inner hotrod tickling. Saving up for a ffr kit after my military retirement
great build, i love the 1/2" drive impact but torque wrench and rachet wrenches follow close behind. Factory Five, Ford and Snap-On can't get any better!!!!
Not knocking anyone in this vid but the conversations are so weird lol.... like you can tell its somewhat scripted but they play it off as a normal conversation.... and they did such a good job its messing with my head.
The Daytona is definitely my favorite build, though this is a close second. I have allllways loved the Daytona, and modernized, it's an absolute dream car.
Cool build. Definitely looking forward to seeing this thing running. I am impressed with the features of the digital torque wrench. Being able to change units with the push of a button would be super handy.
In all honesty I would have to say that so far this will definitely be my favorite build!!! I love this series and the great garages series!! I've watched pretty much every single episode. Keep it coming please! I would absolutely love to win that ratchet I already know a few uses for it.
This is my first time watching a Snap-on From the Ground Up episode, and I got to say that is an awesome truck! Everything from the custom roll cage chassis, to the engine, it's insane! I love it.
Great build, awesome truck, can’t see spending 80 grand on a engine, just can’t. I am a huge ford guy but I think that is absolutely crazy, I would of put a completely souped up 351 or 428 under the hood, maybe even a 302 with 351 cylinder heads, and stroked, something Jesus. I get it 800hp but still wtf
You showed the 14.4 lineup and i litterally have all but 2 tools in that box. The long neck 3/8 and 3/8 14.4 impact are my daily drivers. My 850 half inch also remains the most loyal gun in the shop. 3050b = best hammer in the business. Thermal camera checks converters and exhaust leaks with ease. Boroscope to find my 10mm.(love the magnet attachment)
Wow! Cool! As a kid my Dad would tell me, "you have to have the right tool to do the job right Son". The Snap-On torque wrench would be awesome to own and use. Snap-On Tools ROCK! Hey, do they still ride around town in their Snap-On truck?
My Fave F-5 build was the Daytona Coupe. Now that one is about as close to a practical daily as anything in the F-5 lineup, thanks to the 1965 FAI GT regs requiring space for 2 full-size suitcases plus easy access to the spare, and the faithful reproduction in the Factory Five replica.
I am still trying to figure out what the hell a "factory five car" is??? Is there a factory 3 or a factory 4? How about a factory 6? I keep seeing "Factory Five thrown around as though it "means something", but to me it doesn't seem to hold a lot of value I guess, because I have no clue what a Factory 5 even is and why it is important!!! Maybe I want to build a Factory 30 car.....and learn you a thing or two!!!
Shop way to clean. Mechanics hands, cloths, work shoes, way to clean. You can always tell a mechanic by what color his hands are. Unless of course you a fancy assembler. Ha ha. Stay away from my shop there's grease and grime. Where you normally find it in a well maintained shop. You know, a real mechanics shop. You can clean all you want to ya can't get it all. And those gloves ain't even broke in. This is me busten yo chops I know but ya just to sanitary clean know what I mean? Lol
Well all the tools you guys use are the right tools for the I would to use that flex ratchet 3/8" it like it shows what kind of person who you are when people see you use SNAP ON TOOL you no the job will be done right. The right tool for the right job. Thank you SNAP ON TOOL

I got my techangle because pretty much everything I have to torque has a Foot Pound requirement followed by an angle requirement and my lazy butt doesn’t feel like having to bring extra tools with me when I’m crawling around under or on top of trucks.
Are you f-ing kidding me? This truck is badass to the extreme. I love that digital torque wrench. A must have for my shop. But the ratchet also is the coolest ratchet ever. I would love to drive that truck!
I'm sure all the Snap on fanboys are cream'n themselves over these tools .. I work in a shop and I see guys spend 10's thousands on their BS... Not me. Crazy $$
I get that this was an advertisement, but i feel it was too much of an advert. We get it, you are using fap-off tools, dont need to stop and explain everything you are using, just throw a little pop up at the bottom that gives a part number when you are using something specific.
You should do a snap-on and Ev West truck build and 4X4 all wheel drive Truck like a raptor ,all suspension and mean ass torched monster and today's newest battery teck , and the truck doesn't have to be a ford make it a Chevy shyann 4 dour short box with baha spec tires I'm sure that would be something I would love to see and many others thanks . Have a good one
Thank you for making this video. I just had major nrck surgery and will mostlikely have to buy my FFR ride. This just sucks! Built not bought they say....Ready to just give up on it all really. Then I see this video, I hope Dave Smith doesn't get upset with me buying n not building. I am also a Logano fan so this was extra special! Please have Joey save me a cup engine so whenever My Doc releases me, I cn put it to use. Hopefully in a FFR. You have NO IDEA how lucky you are to get to wrench on cars. I will be allowed to do simple maintenance stuff if Im lucky. Cheers on a great yet diffucult video to watch!!!! Well Done!!!!!! Scott B
