There's been hundreds of songs written about rock 'n roll life on the road - but how many are so beautiful they bring tears to your eyes? Joey lives, always.
Yes!!!! That's why after Joey passed away, Johnny said, *I will NEVER walk on the stage and play another Ramone song ever again* & Johnny never did. Johnny understood that the sound of the Ramones was and IS Joey's Vocals, Johnny and Joey fought a lot but there was a level of RESPECT they had for each other, period.
I was at the first show by the ramones in holland, never heard of them and we were really 'surprised'.Later I preferred the b-side of R&R Highschool : Danny says !
R.I.P Joey Ramone. Truely a great and dedicated singer! In my opinion Joey is the greatest Punk Rocker (alongside the rest of the Ramones) who ever lived!
This is the best song ever wrote ! Three chords, G-C-D, just like Blitzkrieg Bop, Sheena is a Punk Rocker, Come on Now, Rockaway Beach, Beat on the Brat, Oh Oh I Love Her So, and 50% more of Ramone's songs ! JOEY, you're the greatest !
i think thats a good thing, because they werent a "pop" band. they were a punk band. and he had his own style, and it kept them from forgetting their roots. he could play solos he just basically choose not to after rocket to russia. listen to california sun, or now i wanna sniff some glue, the solo on i cant make it on time (which i know he played because ive seen a video of him playing the solo live). he was the foundation of the ramones, without him they wouldnt have been a band for very long.
