@Save 🇺🇸 people who fall on slippery surfaces? That would include reckless and cautious people from both sides. Everybody falls some time. NOW: people who make bold and ignorant comments, relating two things that have absolutely nothing to do with one another... those typically are radical right Trump-worshippers. Be proud to be recognized by the giant flag of ignorance you've so proudly displayed in the window of your shriveled little soul.
@nightmare-nig 2:15 htmarenightma1147 Chelsea and her partner THOUGHT they were expert's on running on packed down snow that's results in icy pavement.. Especially her empty headed partner for saying "we can easily slide through a stop sign" clueless to realize what can happen if you slide through a stop sign/light.. 🙄.. .
@@manuelcaycedo561 Back when it still existed, Deadspin actually interviewed the woman. she admitted that she came off as cocky although that wasn't her intent. she was just really excited to run in the snow lol. she seemed to be taking it in stride pretty well
She was very in control! Very matoor haha I would've been cracking up soo hard and wouldn't have been able to finish saying all of her solid real advice, just hahahahaa
I swear a top comedic writing team for a sketch comedy show couldnt have come up with a better sketch than this. Literally every word coming out of their mouths comes back to bite them back a minute later, the camera work excellent, and the news crew hilarious.
Ahh.....the perfect mix of smugness, self satisfaction and the belief in one's mastery of Mother Nature and the environment. And then seconds later a slip, and the awful thud of a cranium and well toned buttocks simultaneously slamming into the "perfect textured" snow covered pavement. Pain and humiliation soon follow.....the physical discomfort will pass, but the video will live in infamy.
+Captain Hook As someone who used to live in Portland. They're not all like this. Just the people who moved up from California. I remember a lot of Oregonians really despising Californians.
She just underestimated how slippery the ground was, said "its the perfect texture for running" and fell down. How tf is that being "pretentious" or "sumg" and how in tf are people so rubbed the wrong way by her statement & satisfied by the fall, as if she said "only sheeple get shots, im not mentally retarded like people who get them" and then caught a communicable disease, like shut tf up. Gotta all be slightly fucked in the head or something jesus christ
Whenever I feel sad or worried, I watch this video and instantly feel ok. Life’s worth living as long as there’s this video , no matter the adversity and hardship, always feel comforted by it.
I think it was actually a painted line, and with snow/water on top of those they're like stepping onto ice. I would not have been running on city roads in the snow for this very reason. And the fact that they're Californians and not used to snow and how it changes surfaces like that is evident in their overconfidence.
Video Starts At Yeah, from growing up in Michigan, I saw it coming before she even got there. A lot of the art of not falling on your ass is knowing what to look for. Areas that are shining like a wet mirror are definitely areas to avoid 🤣
@@z_ed hahah I thought I was the only one to catch that slight I guess you could say “eye roll tone of voice” from the jaded veteran reporter who’s seen it all in Portland. That might actually be one of the funnier parts if you look at it deeply haha
Expert, Noun, a person who has a comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of or skill in a particular area. Not every jogger would fall under the description of an expert but some certainly would.
@@matKilla9801 now we have pretentious commenters. Expert is not a noun in the sentence he used. More importantly there are no expert joggers. I'm sure there are bad joggers, but if you can jog well you're just as good as anyone else that can jog. There is no threshold that would make someone an expert. Are there expert walkers?
Yeah and Chelsea and her partner have no excuse for saying something as clueless as "we can easily slide through a stop sign" because they have stop signs in CA too.. Her partner is too stupid to realize sliding through a stop sign can get you hit by a vehicle and seriously injured or worse.. DUH..
Whenever you are trying to fall asleep at night and something you're really embarrassed about pops into you head you can feel comfortable knowing at least it wasn't this.
elias nunez That's what happens when you decide to go jogging in the winter. They got the texture they wanted. She just got a little more than she asked for. Just deserves imo.
@@ReefphreakNo they didn't that's what makes them look so stupid.. Chelsea was talking to the reporter about jogging on snow that wasn't packed down and icy that flaky snow was the best texture to jog on.. Then Chelsea foolishly starts jogging on packed down snow that had become icy and immediately falls hurting her lower back and hitting her head hard too..
Haha you could tell the two anchors there were secretly loving it! Great job by them to give that little dig, calling her an “expert jogger” after that gaffe.
Right.. Chelsea's partner is too stupid to realize his statement "we can easily slide through stop signs" proves just how clueless and stupid he is.. Chelsea smarts and lacks common sense as well..
I love how savage the news crew was lmao They didn't even give her the benefit of a doubt afterward they just made an example out of her and discredited her whole world. This was amazing
Clueless Chelsea grabbed her back immediately after she fell and hit her head hard too.. Chelsea gave the thumbs up while hobbling over to the side of the road she was hurting for days or weeks afterwards...Oh well it was her own overinflated confidence and stupidity..
"It looks like she's ok" i guess she didn't see her slam her head on the street and grab her back in pain. You can tell she's in pain when she gives the thumbs up trying to save face
Chelsea was okay as far as being able to move and get up and hobble over to the side of the road slightly bent over because her back was killing her.. Chelsea's dimwit partner could have driven her to the ER if she needed it .. I wouldn't want her partner taking care of a pet since he thinks it a great idea to slide through stop signs.. Dimwit
Hopefully she only has a bad headache.. Her back was hurt worse that's why she touched it immediately after her fall.. Then she hobbled over to the side of the road slightly bent over her back obviously hurting ..Oh well
First time jogging in 3-inch snow yesterday and it was amazing. She was right: less stress impact as snow cushions the roads. HOWEVER SHE RAN ON ICE, NOT SNOW!!!
@@shaylachevon5116Yeah that and she obviously really hurt her tailbone and back too.. She grabbed her back immediately after she fell she most likely had a headache and was in pain for day's or weeks afterwards.. It was her own foolishness and over confidence that caused it though..
What's even funnier is Chelsea hobbling over to the side of the road slightly bent over .. Poor idiot grabbed her back immediately after she fell and hit her head hard too .. They both were so smug, over confident speaking as if they were expert's and clueless..
If I’m ever approached in my lifetime to say something on camera for any news organization, I would say her exact line of “it’s the perfect texture for running..”
It's February 2024 no snow storm yet in SW Ohio but I've watched this video a few times a year since it happened to give me a good laugh when I need one .
as someone who worked in the running industry to 3 years i can tell u all firsthand that this is exactly how 99% of runners are: smug, arrogant and pretentious 😂
Bro she just underestimated how slippery the ground was, said "its the perfect texture for running" and fell down.
@@nightmare-nightmarenightma1147She may always have pain in her lower back whether it's cold out because of how hard she hit.. Poor fool reached around and touched her back immediately after she fell she was in serious pain probably for days or weeks afterwards.. She also hit her head hard too..
@@lorileew2337 It’s been four years since I wrote this comment and you know what? I hate that I even joked about back pain. Back pain will put you out of commission for weeks/months at a time and even when it stops for a while, it comes back. Honestly, I hope they’re doing ok these days.
