Thank you! No I don't. The only cleaning that I do is blowing the machine out with compressed air. No grease or oil.

i have the adapter on my addi, i made flat panels first without the adapter to get the hang of flat panels, then when i felt that i had the panels going good i tried with the adapter. If your adapter is the 'aidler' then on the top is a black switch that changes the direction of the gears( push forward is normal, push back is reverse and in the middle is off). You have to change the switch back and forwards for each row. I put the black switch on forward then use the silver speed knob (on the bottom of the aidler) to very slowly knit to the end of the row, then turn the silver speed knob back to stop. (you soon get a feel for the silver knob to make it go slowly) You can use the hand crank as you get closer to the end of row so you dont go too far until you get the hang of it, turn the silver speed knob off then hand crank until the end. Then when at the end switch the black switch to reverse. When going back you can use the hand crank to make sure that first stitch is in then gently turn the speed dial to make it slowly knit back to the other side again. ( at first i was using the hand crank at the ends of the rows but after i got a feel for the speed switch i can use just the silver knob). I hope this makes sense :-)happy knitting

It's possible but you really have to pay attention to what you are doing. I don't use the adapter when doing panels. For me, I really concentrate on the end stitches. Adding in the adapter would make me mess up somewhere.

​@@kymcast that's how I imagine doing it. I do have the aidiler and am comfortable with using the knob at different speeds. Thank you! I think I too will work on panels manually until I feel comfortable with them.
