Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach ( 1732-1795) harpsichord concerto, in A major (1784):
1. allegro, 2 andante ma non troppo, 3. allegro
Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields;
with George Malcom, harpsichord

Although the album attributes this work to Johann Christian Bach, Artur Felisberto (per comments below) informs us that Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach ( 1732-1795) is the actual composer. Our earnest thanks to Mr. Felisberto for the correction.

The only Concerto in A major of Johann Christian Bach is: W.C 49 Op. 1 Nº 2 Harpsichord Concerto in A major...and is not the same and not so «Brilliant»!!!

This is Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach , the older brother of Johann Christian Bach the youngest of Johann Sebestian.

This not by J C Bach but by his a little older brother J C F Bach.Not be confused.

Unfortunately, J C Bach died in 1782. Or is this concerto by the guy described in de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Christian_Bach_(Clavier-Bach) ?

Point well taken. The date given is taken from the Neville Marriner album (off which this recording came.) What the explanation respecting the anomalous date is otherwise, I myself couldn't say. Unless it is a typo, or else posthumously published, your surmise would appear to be correct. The same piece, by the way, is also contained on Huguette Dreyfus' "J. C. Nein, auf der Original-LP stand Johann Christian Bach, aber jemand schrieb mir und sagte, dies sei ein Fehler, und der eigentliche Komponist ist Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach; was bei der Untersuchung der Frage richtig erscheint; obwohl ich selbst kein Experte auf diesem Gebiet bin.
