fact is politicians screw us directly . we dont allow it. politicians are the ones screwing this country... eg look the debates in parliament, the corruption & looting, nepotism etc...
Agree man. I'm a white and just want to say most of us aren't even interested whether someone is black or not, and for some reason lots of people think that us Whites don't want blacks in South africa to do well. But that doesn't make sense, for instance the majority of the country is black and the only way that things will improve is through black achievement. Our economy then grows. Our money is worth more, everyone wins when blacks are generating wealth. However government has crippled blacks in this country, they pretend to be the saviours of black people and then at every turn screw them over, pocketing money. People need to work for themselves, keep their wealth and government should take their greedy hands out of the pockets of everyone. Victim hood holds anyone back, whether you're black, white, purple etc. And this government tries to make blacks think that they need them. One of my greatest idols is Thomas Sowell, I think everyone needs to give that man a listen. He has so much wisdom, and he explains these types of problems and has solutions to them.
Why would they propagate real personal power? We'll it also means some guys pays no distraction and go about making a success of their lives. They propagate subjection through petting vindicates. Maybe it's a form of security for those in power and an insecurity.
@mbavhi nema Calm down. What JW Films means is that IGNORANCE is ruining this country. Did you watch the video? Did Rupert say something that you disagreed with? I would like to know what that was because everything he said in this video is common sense. I personally know nothing about Rupert's past, I haven't researched it and it is beyond the point here. The point is that he is right in this video. South Africa as a country is in a crisis and if we don't do something about it, we are in for decades of suffering. When the IMF comes to bail a country out, it's nothing to celebrate about, believe me... This is not about race. Nobody said that 'black people in government are useless.' The "percentage of people that are running this country into the ground" are the ignorants, the poorly informed, the easily mislead. That 'percentage' includes people of all races and all walks if life. As for the EFF is coming: Well that would be a disaster. When was the last time that nationalization and leftist politics succeeded? Take your time, think very hard and let me know when you have an answer. Maybe post the question on Quora... www.quora.com/
@@jwfilms4691 you should not waste time on people who think they have an understanding of what is going on they just try to cause trouble and pull out cards no one has talked about.
Everyone is so driven by greed that people see others as entitled. Until people realize that it's not about what you have. But how you influence you neighbors through unconditional love. Get over greed!! It does nothing but destroy your life.
@@jwfilms4691 the fact that they said "U just another men's child raised to hate black people and get a job through nepotism." really puts a mindset on what assumptions people can make they do not know the way one was raised the way one lives or how one acts but decide to make assumptions like that when no one even said anything about skin colour or anything along those lines. It really just showed that this individual had nothing really to say and just tried to cause trouble. I dont know how to feel.
You are right Big Black. We are just making noise and learning nothing. We are not in the right direction. Whites who are powerful did a lot of self development programs since birth. I am saying this as a Scientist who understands what blacks are supposed to do which they haven't started, instead they are making noise and envying other people's wealth. Everything comes with a huge price tag. You pick (what you want) but pay the price. We feel sorry for black people who are still playing blame games and not doing anything about their lives. We are on earth to work for ourselves and not to want to depend through violence and noise like hyenas which prefers to follow the lions for food. Wealthy people worked hard for their wealth and I know a lot of small minds might think that they don't work. They do a lot of what is called Inner work which is more difficult by far from physical work. Lazy people wants others wealth and they always want shortcuts. No shorts in evolution. Most of hungry politicians always lie to black followers about how the systems work. They too don't know its been a secret for centuries. Yes, my brother you right. We must build our own wealth but we must also be ready to pay the price. That's how it works.
Well said!We need more People in SA (Black,White,Indian,Brown) who are smart enough who knows that you cant keep blaming others for the rest if your life.We need more People in SA who understand that yiu have to work to earn a living!
These days it's all about material gain. Hence why he speaks of the economy. We need to forget things and greed. The only way to help the world is to love your neighbor unconditionally.
Powerful and wealthy people don't see things the same way untrained minds dies so they don't dwell on negativities. Talking about racism will not finish racism but economy yes. Black people are conditioned to want to listen to things which will make them emotional. We must change from this mindset if we want to learn. Some of the things we call racism is not. It is because majority of black people has racist thoughts running through their minds. That's why they always scan racism everywhere Instead for focusing more on positivities.

Black folk in SA are MORE than able to hold their own in SA - let's just start giving them the opportunity through good education - beginning from the pre-primary grades
The ANC has had 25 years to do just that. That is two full grade 1 - 12 cycles that have been wasted. We need to start repairing our broken land by removing the ANC and any other communist parties and replace them with parties that can actually govern the country and do it fairly, equatably and with good intention.
Johann Rupert is not being racist or a bully, he’s just stating the truth. The people that are calling him racist is actually the *racist* people! And if you get triggered by this feel free not to leave a comment.
Firstly this interview shows exactly what's wrong with SA. Black people in this country think less of themselves but want others to think more of them. This country and I agree with Rupert is going no where fast until people can have an adult conversation openly and freely. We aren't children anymore you want change go get it. The internet is the future. I never understood why people complain about opportunities the internet is a giant sesspool of chances that reaches a global audience. This country always screams rainbow nation but in reality the most opportunities or all schemes are aimed at black people. What about Asians, colored people, Indians? They should go back to where they came? News flash most blacks aren't even natively from SA. To fix this country blacks should stop acting like victims of suffering and whites don't owe anyone anything. Everyone should be able to work together. People in power EFF etc are not good for the future of this country. In fact they take us a step back. Rupert made excellent points in that the education must change and that a logical conversation without hurting each other goes a long way to better understanding each other.
@@ecghejh wow if thats what you get from reading this then you are not looking at the bigger picture. The world doesn't revolve around a single race or person but it's up to us as people to make it listen. You don't have to agree with what I said you just need to think about post apartheid as people (all races is there really growth?) no that's because no one wants to compromise for the growth of this country. You want opportunities? identify what you want to do and then outline possibilities on how to get it done. You want to feel like you matter? Change your thinking about yourself and start thinking you are bigger than your problems. The real problems this country is facing is not with each other but ourselves. We recognize the injustices done to us and want to fix them immediately before we actually get things that matter most done. Sometimes you need a, b and c but (b) is more important so( a) is put on hold. This is how we should learn to think as South Africans. Everyone has felt pain and injustice in their lives what matters is what you make of yourself after it all.
However though, it's high time we stop depending on politics and craft our own destiny. I've seen a lot of people lining up for free houses yet there's no change.
Great video. We must unite as South-Africans. We must work together, stop looking back and all push forward together. Stop division through accepting one another, stop hatred by loving first, stop poverty by working together and giving all equal free opportunity (stopping affirmative action and BEE which has become a form of racism and division). Time is now, we must work and stand together, all races and all people in South Africa.
@@KR-jg7gc He made a comparison on if you were apposed to something in the past and now presently. Both statements ... communist and racist ... the intention is to vilify the person making that complaint and shutdown any further debate about the subject. In both cases corruption and apartheid is hurting the country and its people and in both cases only the government and friends/family of top officials are benefiting from the damage done to this country.
Great to see this kind of coverage on the news for a change. Talking about race and personally as a young white South African I have always been made to feel as a white member of this country that it is a taboo subject that whites dont have the "right" to talk about. I want to talk about it. I want to learn your cuture, your languages and appreciate the differences that come from this. I have worked and been surrounded by extraordinary people of all different backrounds and its been an honour to bridge the race differnces and gaps but its also unfortunate that at times and in certain environments like politics I feel like I can't do this dispite being born a South African and then been made to feel like less of a child of our beautiful county for the race I was born to because of what members from my race did before I was even on this earth.
Wanting to learn more about a group of people and their culture is great and tbh, I think is one of the first steps in "reconciliation". Wish more people had your mentality. One of our biggest problems in SA is really not understanding each other.
Its great that you see yourself as South African and you actually want to engage with people. Often what puts white people on the side line is their reaction to racism issues. Some suddenly can't talk, some acknowledge that their family members or friends are racist and tend to distance themselves from them and some simply ignore it. I've been around white people for most of my life so I've seen how such issues are attended to.
"I'm worth five billion US dollars as an individual. I worked hard and paid attention to details. The fact that the rest of the country is poor had nothing to do with racism. I hire black people to accumulate wealth in a country with the greatest income inequality in the world. Clearly, all the people's problems are due to the government. Sidestep government like I do."
To all my Kleva Blacks From 1871 to 1914, White settlers mined "the big hole" in Kimberly SA. In that period, about 14 million carats of diamonds were mined using Black Africans as cheap labour. Today, a one carat diamond is worth $16000 on average, which would make that entire stash of diamonds worth $224 billion as we speak...provided they all still exist. $224 bil...from a single mine. This mine was at some point run by the oppenheimers who are also considered #WMC and are deeply intertwined with the ruperts. None of these funds helped develop any African communities or lives. Black communities like Soweto remain impoverished, despite the colossal amount of talent wielded by their youth. Native South Africans( we, the blacks ) are still sardined on 5% of our own homeland even though the freedom charter claims and I quote: "South Africa land belongs to all who live in it" and you can still take a walk from Alexandra, one of the poorest communities you can ever find whose population is about 90% Black, to Sandton, The "richest square mile in Africa" owned majorly by the White settlers in South Africa. White Monopoly Capital exists, whether you choose to be "a victim" or not.
I love the top comments on this video, showing people standing up and saying we're going to do something, roll up sleeves, take the initiative. It doesn't matter if someone is racist or sexist, we live in a time that the only thing stopping you is yourself, or you convincing yourself that someone is stopping you. It takes character to say no to playing the victim, no to a negative mentality, and to take responsibility for where you're going with your life.
A man who says like it is, not like the politicians that play the races against each other for their own benefit. The only way to we will make this a prosperous country and help everyone to benefit from our wealth and correct our past is to stand together, take care for each other and work together.
We need intelligent (educated does not make you intelligent) visionaries to take over this country, and us as south africans to pull up our socks and stop looking for the easy way out. When the economy does well it brings everyone with it, simple!
Those who point the finger and are quick to say "Racist" and "White monopoly capital" everytime someone says something they don't like to hear - those are the people who will remain poor for ever. No one with an entitled attitude ever became rich. Once you understand the world owes you nothing, and your upliftment is entirely up to you, that is when life starts improving.
Instead of giving everyone load shedding just turn on every other or every third street light. Its idiotic how a country can't provide us with a proper amount of electricity
Didn't see the full interview but I like this guy already, these points were, well, on point. And I form part of the minority, it's gone beyond race now, we should be looking at surviving as a nation Edit: minority
It's real easy. Just move to another country. Don't understand why people have such an affinity to some arbitrary piece of land. People need to realize that there are just as beautiful countries elsewhere that is not south africa, where you don't get constantly bombarded by 150+ race based laws, no BBBEE , no affirmative action, no corruption ,none of this overbearing incompetence. None of that. Put it like this you will pay less in tax, have less crime, no racism, better pay, more money at the end of the month ,better quality of living, better opportunities ect ,just by doing a single thing and that is to just move to another country. Why help those that mistreat you?
Good morning Sir, our Npo Othandweni Community Centre which to support us. We care the elderly people who are vulnerable. We lost our sponsor during the Covid19.
What exactly did you want him to say? It's called a conversation not an interview. Go and listen to the interview again and see if you won't get something of value instead of judging Given for his excellent work.
Johann Rupert knows what he's talking about. Calling others "racist" will do nothing to help speed this country's recovery, and nowadays it seems to only slow us down. Each and EVERY person of EVERY race can and must do his or her part to better this country.
So if he knows our country is in bad shape, why doesn’t he use some of his 5 billion dollars worth of wealth to help us in the country. Do we as citizens not have a duty to fix our country?
Still their are comments being racist that just shows how divided our country is...maybe if we stop burning stuff down and want to take the land from the "oppressor " we must focus on unifying the people just like Madibas dream cause at the moment that dream he wanted is gone
Blue madiba sold us out black people are stepping stones for other races his dream came true for his family but the nightmare worsened for us even past apartheid
@@langalakhemwelase9618 i agree with you coz in 25 years where has this country gone?we should be a unified country but the anc and eff has turned the white and blacks against eachother rather than unite us.what happens when they pass the bill and take the farms?they know what will happen but they dont care we will all have nothing to eat in 6months or less white and black we will all be in trouble we are ppl no matter what colour
When someone believes something they will pursue that belief/view in any way and look for evidence of that in any way they can. If you believe someone is racist, you will look for the smallest clue to support your belief.
I don't know which was more of a waste of my time, the riveting talk on racism or the disgusting comments I'm reading. We look way go go, honesty and admission is the first step to recovery. I don't feel like step 1 is even possible. until you can try to hear the other side, empathise and try to put yourself in someone else's shoes, it will always be a case of us and them. everything down to how "loud" we speak will urk you. not everything requires an answer. its not "fixable" overnight. If we dedicated those 20 years to understand each other, we would be further. you cannot treat what you don't know. everyone needs to be heard.
The other day I read …...that Rupert and EFF deputy had a deal between themselves...……SA needs this man more than this man needs SA...……..for his empire is based in Europe...….
Africa is going the way it was before European colonisation, back to being African. It took a few hundred years but the Africans are getting it all back, I commend them. As for Europe, look east, because Western Europe will be known as the dark continent.
Everyone is racist even children . If you accuse someone, you'll allways press that button. That's how God made you. What peeves me is how after all this time grown intillectuals is still applying it so vaguely and flatly. Its in behavior and acts... are you treating someone immorrally or unfairly? That's what it's about not quickening devils. May God keep your spirits free and make understanding be your gift. Amen.
George Abraham Children aren't born racist, they are raised to be by racist parents. What this country is failing to do is see all races as equal in potential and worth. You are contributing to a problem that will make this world difficult for us long after you and your old, outdated views are gone.
This is complete madness. This man is benefiting from what his father has stolen from other people and he's not even talking about distribution of Land.
What is he doing to empower blacks if he is not part of the monopolists. If the blacks are empowered as this is their land then SA will be a better country for all. I stand to say this interview was just a blasphem.
@99 mountaineer Tell me one black person who has the government. Check your facts. White has blacks infront to fool the masses. How can a person whose been in bondage for years empower himself? They got nothing. Nothing in their hands. Rupert has had no reason to come out nd speak to us why now? Bcz he sees that by taking the land back. They will be empowering them selves.
I'm Black , and I honestly do not think there's anything wrong this man said. well maybe the only thing wrong is his colour and the language he's using but the man said absolutely Nothing wrong. the very same phrase that offended my society was supposed to motivate them, but ey it's Satafrika any way. what can we say
How many people they working hard but they not rich some of them they even working 7 days a week is so very easy to talk there's a different between working hard&opportunity if there's no opportunity there's nothing will make you rich
South africa is already out of a technical recession. Doesnt mean we've made it but it is progress. Despite the fact that land expropriation is advancing more than ever before, even with anglo american willing to support it. Where you doomsday prophets get your info from i do not know. If you are keen for Zimbabwe, by all means go there, and, in fact, stay there.
Love is so much more powerful than hate. I wish this peace, could fill all our hearts. I love South Africa. It literally breaks my heart, to hear the news. I ask the government and the EFF, Mr Malema, stop thinking about your personal gain, and start now, immediately to think about your country.
If the only "truth" you will accept is that spoken by those innocents who own small inconsequential things then you are at risk of adopting principles that feel noble but that ultimately condemn you to a small inconsequential life. I wpuld be critical of what he says too. We are out of our technical recession, despite the fact that land expropriation is advancing, even with Anglo American willing to aid it in some way. Still a long way to go, but sounds like progress to me.
