She did a great job recognizing the small victories and drawing the inspiration to continue on. The alternative is to simply say "I can't do it" and give up just because the first attempt was unsuccessful. We all, unfortunately, tend to do this when it comes to things like exercise, learning a musical instrument, learning a language or playing a sport. I went through this as a little kid with learning to ice skate and almost gave up on playing ice hockey, but thankfully I had people to push me forward. In order to get good at something, you have to be willing to be 'bad' at it as you go through the learning process.
