Ps. Paul, it was as if you had eyes and ears that stretched across the ocean and continents and somehow watched and listened to my prayer time this morning (while y'all were sleeping because I'm in South Africa). I was working though Psalm 27 this week because of a fiery trial I'm going through. I tuned into your teaching and so when you started talking about the very same thing, I just started blubbing. Knowing that it wasn't you of course but that the Lord has seen and has heard and although my faith is small but He is at work and most certainly not how I want but He its doing it PERFECTLY as He is in all of His ways. Praise God! God bless you and all the CCO family.
The same kind of thing happens to me too. I was blessed to meet pastor Paul a couple weeks ago and told him that, and he said, "you know that's the Holy Spirit, right?" I said yes of course. Praise God, how He guides us into all truth. By the way, psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him from them all. God bless brother.
Pastor Paul I have been listening to your teaching almost every day, I praise God for your beautiful teaching if it was not for your teaching I wouldn't understand the deep meaning and mysteries of the scriptures
Jesus is the Light and so as children of His let's walk out the light in the dark world around us tt others see the light in us n give all the glory to Him. It often requires me to walk in humility, submitted to God our Father.
God's word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path, Psalms 119 : 105. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to receive such blessings through Pastor Paul at Calvary Chapel since 2018. Thank you Lord for your light . I no longer walk in darkness.
Many Christians today do not speak the truth in love- a very hard thing to do sometimes; but if we remember that many of us who claim to know Jesus are actually sometimes worse than those who don't know Jesus. We struggle with our own sins (ie. pride, resentment, bitterness, envy etc.) buried deep in our hearts, yet we come out like the pharisees condemning the world around us.
I think a good place to stand is, condemn the world's sin, but also realize you aren't any better and it is only by the grace of God you are saved. Sometimes love includes mocking; not just to be mean of course, but to point out how silly something is to show a better way. This is where I think we struggle, we either go to two extremes; mocking constantly saying how evil everyone else is but you don't criticize yourself, so hypocrisy, or just being lovey dovey hippies and wishy washy and not really having many strong opinions about sin or goodness, we definitely need to find a middle ground that includes both.
