Since we discovered Pastor John, we've been listening to his teachings for 6 to 10 hours a day! After being in the charismatic movement close to 5 decades we learnt more in a month then before in a decade, Revelation's have become a true revelation for us!God bless you Pastor John and your family and church!
I’m so happy to hear of your experience. 🕊I too have been misguided by many false teachers. However I can say I learned from that. And when I came upon Pastor John, same thing many hours a day listening and learning. Drawn to the Truth has been a Wonderful Revelation for me also. Pastor John has been recovering from a surgery. When I came to Jesus Christ I was still experiencing demonic nightmares but it was so crazy how every single time I called on Jesus name to rebuke these demonic spirits, I would wake up in an instant! The power of Jesus name is real, He saved me.
Praise the Lord, I had nightmares like that for a long time and trying hard to call on Jesus with no sound coming out! Even now decades later it comes occasionally but now I can call on Jesus loud and clear, what's more dealing with a demon possessed friend I was visiting in a supportive residence, on an occasion he started his usual ranting over the phone and under my breath I rebuked it, and my friend stopped and like someone who snapped away, he couldn't continue and all confused said bye and hung up! I don't tempt Satan or the demons definitely, but obviously Holy Spirit decided to cut him off like some other times when I was in his presence, mostly being with him when he needed help!
I also love John MacArthur’s preaching. I noticed in your comments that you struggle with demonic dreams. You might want to check out these ladies who were saved by Christ out of the new age and occult. Doreen Virtue, Jenn Nizza and Jen Marino Chen. They have their own separate you tube channels but do one together called New Age to New Heart. Very solid Biblically. I love these ladies.

I came from a pentecostal church. I was looking for a church in 2020 during the pandemic when everything was closed so I turned to RU-vid and found this treasure. I then realized everything in thought I knew was wrong, and that all the revelation I needed had already been given. I couldn't get enough of his sermons and Voddie Bachams. I was learning more in woods than I had my entire life in the charismatic movement.
Pastor McArthur & Vonnie Baucham are great. Also check out Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA. You will also get much from Eric Metaxis, Johnathan Cahn, and Alan Jackson in TN. These are all preaching God's Word. I am glad our Father led you out of the fog and into God's Word. Keep praying and reading the Bible [Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth ] and growing in your heavenly Father.
I like JM. He is an excellent theological pastor with one exception, his interpretation of the elect. He is a 5 point Calvinist, believes in election. It’s a very dangerous ideology. In short he believes God created some people for the sole purpose of going to hell. And, for God’s own glory. This is why I do not believe in Calvinism. Those people cannot be saved even if they try. It’s false teaching. Tread lightly with Calvinist pastors. They can be dangerous to new believers and less learned believers. Also, I fully expect my comment to be harshly rebuked by Calvinist’s. when the rapture happens John's teachings will bring many to repentance. I don't know any other paster that teaches God's word with such wisdom and gives so much context like John. His sermons are the greatest gift I have ever received.

John absolutely knows what he is talking about. He is one of the very best preachers ever. The Gospel is about Jesus and doing the Father's will. He left us the Holy Spirit as our councillor.

Always appreciate the well-studied, Christ-centered teaching of John Macarthur. This was also my experience at the last church that I attended. It was a church that exercised spiritual gifts. Worship was done in the most respectful and tasteful manner, honoring Christ and following the teachings of scripture. There was no babbling or hollering or jumping over pews. It was a church like few others. Prosperity was not the core teaching there. The poorest of people could live with dignity in this congregation. It was a true Acts 2:38 church. Just because some people misuse parts of Scripture, that doesn't give us permission to cut those verses out of our Bibles.
No Christian, including for sure John Mac, would ever dare say to cut a verse out of your bible. What he, and I, would say is, learn what those verses really mean. I pray you will.

I am so very grateful for the wording Dr. MacArthur employs in elucidating the evidences of having been justified, born of the Spirit. He says it the way I have been proclaiming, and yet the evil one and accuser still brings glimmers of doubt sometimes. For instance, my self dialogue is something like "if I truly love Christ why do I still do this particular sin, which grows ever more egregious in my view of it? How can I be in Christ and love Him yet still sin in this way?" But as Dr. MacArthur states "It's not my perfection but my direction." I've been saying, "It's what my heart desires most for I love the law of the Spirit and hate sin with inceasing intensity, so there is evidence of His work within me. I love all who are in Christ with a passion only those in Christ can comprehend. And yet, my dissatisfaction with myself keeps me returning to Romans 7 and 8. I keep praying for my fruitfulness to become greater and more evident. I missed so many opportunities in the past because of my foolish decisions, particularly concerning women, and though it is no longer acted out, the mind of the flesh still goes there at times. So, I try to feed the Spirit and starve the flesh, because I know that if I walk in the Spirit I shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Gal. 5:16 Your prayers for this lonely old Christian soul are greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU!! I have struggled with many of the questions you answered in this sermon, Pastor John! Honestly, I questioned my faith for a while, because I didn't "feel" or "hear" the Holy Spirit leading me in a specific direction, as so many proclaim He does! It's the WORD that speaks to us in every way, through the Spirit!

I love Pastor John’s teaching. But I’ve had one of these amazing visitations from Jesus and it changed my life. To deny the supernatural is to deny Jesus. 😢 He is my Lord and Savior and the relationship became so much more real when he actually came to me in a vision. I look at the fruit and the fruit has been undeniable in my life. I pray all have this kind of visitation. ❤
That's amazing. I think the point is to not rely on these visitations for validation of your faith. Most of us, won't experience what you did, but all of us can experience joy in the Lord through learning his word.
He is an anointed servant of the Most High God. With so much wisdom from God. A blessed good teacher of God's word May the Lord strengthen him with power from on high.

Dear John MacArthur, Please tell me how I cantry to get through to the Catholics. I live in a SISTERS old age home. Most of them have served in their church since they were young girls. They believe you should pray for the dead, therefore getting them out of purgatory, They pray to Mary and Never read the real Bible. We are responsible for all the people we meet, three people were dying, that is the only time they accepted Christ as Saviour, The Holy Spirit gave me the right thing to say, I was so proud he used me then!!
Preach,love,teach. In season and out of season. Ask God to open their hearts, and then for you to boldly proclaim the Truths of Christ. He has placed you there for a reason.
English is my first language I am an American. Your Pastor John is not the only one who is privy to the Greek and Hebrew translations of the Bible. As a leader of his church, this is the least of what I expect. I’m not a fan of listening to a sermon over and over to convince me that it is right. I keep saying a repeated verse of the Bible “Study and show yourself approve.” God has charged us to find out for ourselves and He has said He will speak to us directly in our hearts to know His will. Preachers, Prophets, Teachers, etc. are here to enlighten us but it is incumbent upon us to seek out the truth.

This is a difficult theme to deal without falling into criticism but not from the Holy Spirit. There are hijacked churches or denominations - like the NAR - but to totally deny the work of the Holy Spirit in all cases - has caused many to reject Pt. John MacArthur altogether. But it's my belief that most of his sermons are excellent, except when He generalized against a whole branch of the evangelical churches and denominations .! I do hope Pt. MacArthur do ask the Holy Spirit guidance before being so conclusive . Yes, absolutely, the prophets and apostles of our days are false . But there are countless Christians who have experienced the genuine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Anyways, prayers that our Lord sheds light 🙏🏻
I grew up in a major denomination that taught that we received all of the Holy Spirit when I was born again. Thank God for being saved. However, when I received the Holy Spirit baptism latter in adulthood O was blessed to receive a heart of worship and a wonderful gift of revelation as I read God's word. Read Acts 19 and decide for yourself. Blessings

I’d be lost without Dr MacArthur. He’s the final word for me because he doesn’t sway, BOLD TRUTH, firm but compassionate, no debates. It is, what it is and that’s it.
One way I know that the protestant positions and beliefs were not what was in place in the early church is the fact that the early church (Roman Catholic Church) survived for over 1500 years and is still around today. Before Luther died, there were already many divisions among protestants: Lutherans (1521), Anabaptist (1525), Anglicans (1534) Calvinist (1540). And many more denominations have simply disappeared.
1. Are you saying the early church was The Roman Catholic Church 2. Aren't the Protestants referred to as everyone that is not Catholic? 3. Didn't Martin Luther post on the Catholic Church door 99 wrongdoings of the Catholic Church? So was he Protestant or was he Catholic?

I'm confused, I can't sense the presence of the Holy Spirit in my life but I can "experience "the outcome of His work, what is the difference?Oh! The gnostic,Augustinian, calvanistic notions of neodeistic view of view of the divide between heaven and earth that emphasizes itself today in ceasationalism. It's sad that this man who has challenged generations through his pursuit to dig dip into the word me being one of those is limited by a theology that slipped into the church of God.Still love him and will continue to listen to him and pray for him.

His strong and accurate emphasis in the Truth of Biblical Christology, gets marginalized in the broad based condemnation of the work of the Holy Spirit in this Dispensation of Grace…that will lead us into all Truth.

I agree with much of what you have said - however, I know many Christians who are not at all like you have described. They do not believe in a "prosperity" gospel - not at all - they are aware that there are false teachers and false theology within so called churches - they are aware of it and stay far away from it. I have also met people who also call themselves "Christians" who believe in what I call "name it and claim it" - and it's blasphemy in my eyes . It's sad - and it's wrong. But there are many bible believing Charismatic Christians who do believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and the triune God. I am just disturbed that you seem to lump everyone together in your description of Pentecostals and Charasmatics. The most Godly man I have known in my life was my Pastor whose church I attended for many years before I moved to FL. He was a faithful servant of our Lord and poured himself out in his love of scripture, the Lord, and the people the Lord had given him to care for. This was an Assemblies of God church - there was no jumping around and acting in a way that I know many Pentacostals are accused of acting (and sometimes what you say is true- and those kinds of displays are not biblical) and my Pastor would have been the first to point this out, and did point out the dangerous false doctrine preached by those like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and many others. A "Prosperity gospel" Is a FALSE doctrine. There also was never any kind of pressure to support or give money. My Pastor did not take much money from the church for his salary and our church gave much of the money taken in to missions. Not ALL Pentacostal churches are like what you described - although ALL believe that you must be born again. TY for making this youtube video available.
