When I first wrote this song I was really proud of it. I wrote it on piano at home and in my excitement I sent a recording to my musician friend Ryan. He wrote back to say "I bloody love that, it's one of your best' so I started to work on the production immediately.
A few weeks later when the track was finished we listened to the song together and I felt so confident he'd love it but afterwards he joked "I think you've ruined it and you should just release the piano version. lol'.
I often feel this way with some of my favourite songs. What version do you prefer? Should I release all my songs this stripped back? How should I perform it on tour?
