I think his stories are funny because of how extreme they are. It’s like he always has to take it one step further. I don’t want to discredit the man because there are people that live lives like this and he does give excruciating details; names, places, etc. I had a friend like this who I’d always hear the craziest stories about. Some really far-fetched stuff. We grew up together and he was just a year younger than me. Quite a short guy, well-mannered, etc. I was over his house one day and he had a news clipping pinned on his wall. When I looked at it, it was his picture on the front of the newspaper because he was wanted by the police. He found it funny. It wasn’t until I spent some time around him that I actually started to see it in action. So when I hear things like this, I don’t immediately jump to doubt. There are people that live like this so who knows.

I can't imagine spending 10 years in jail. I was a little fucked up in the head just after doing 2 years. What got me through the time though was thinking about all the people out there who had or has it worse than me. People in third world countries don't even have a roof over there head, food or clean water and here I am (a criminal) with a roof over my head, a cot, and 3 meals a day and shitty jail juice. In some ways an American inmate is still better off than many people in the world. Another thing that got me through was thinking of all the time I would've gotten had I actually got caught doing all the things I did in my life. I'm actually very fortunate. Anyway, I got out of jail in 2012, moved out of my home town and never looked back. Even though I only spent 2 years in jail I actually lost 5 years of my life to the system between being on the run for 3 years and the time I actually spent in jail. Nowadays with the internet there's so much opportunity to make something of yourself, there's no need to turn to crime. Granted the money won't come instantly. But in time if you stick with it, it'll be worth it. I'm not telling anyone not to get that fast money, but if you do, get in, get out, and invest it in something legal. Don't stay stuck in that life because you will eventually get caught and you will lose everything you worked for. We need to start thinking more in the long term not the short.
