@@Saffrone221 what im saying is even in the story he doesnt answer the question. The only questions he actually answers are about things he was already proven guilty for.
@Notorious1503 He's not a mob guy anymore all I know is he speaks at churches motivating ppl to focus on the Lord and make better choices. I love his story because it goes to show no matter how much money you make doing crime the hurt and pain it causes you and the ppl around you is not worth it.
This guy is brilliant! He walked away from this life, got out of prison... and all of that without putting anyone else in prison or getting killed for leaving the life.
If you believe that he’s ‘walked away’ you are naive. He would of been killed. Simple. They have thought of a new way. Market yourself as ‘out’ and do a thousand podcasts. Then the agencies have nothing to go after. Genius
Michael does not lose. He went thru all his life with power and money and at the end of the life walks away with books, interviews, and many other successful ventures! This man is a boss! Wow.....
He still went to jail, still committed a lot of sins that he has to live with. He is a very smart con man that is manipulating the shit out of all you gullible losers, no offense.
@@stephenthomas1492 it absolutely does. Depends what it is,how ya do it,whose around or rolling with, when ya do it and why your doin it to begin with.ya cant do it if you dont expect to get away with it.
Michael expertly answers questions like he’s being cross-examined. It’s like he’s mastered the art of answering questions as truthfully as possible, without self-incriminating himself or incriminating others.
Well he was in the mafia , kinda force of habit for him not to open his mouth for stuff y'all have no business knowing 🤣 "I mean look" is kinda self explanatory ...
Considering he mentioned he might know about stuff the government won't disclose about the Kennedy Assassination, I both want to know and don't want to know.
I'd WHACK a mothafucka to see Scorsese & Nick Pileggi get together to make a film that just "spins off" right at the scene we (supposedly) see Michael sitting at the bar in Goodfellas - Start it right from there. Throw Franzese into the mix as a consultant & everybody makes a few bucks! He'd be perfect for obvious reasons plus the fact he's noted what a cringe POS "The Sopranos" was so he's actually over-qualified.
"What is your favorite drink?" "Look, when you're into drinking it doesn't matter what the drink was made of. You're just drinking without knowing what you're drinking and when you finished the drink you don't ask about the drink. Not that I liked the drink, but you drank the drink that you had to drink."
Bringing up Takashi to a real former mob capo is like telling Micheal Jordan about how your uncle was rec league mvp. Jesus Christ Vlad that was embarrassing.
Smart, disciplined guy. He rarely gives you information that is not already publicly available. He does personalize what he says but only to a point. And is still entertaining.
Tommy Fu that’s what he was saying... he thought at the time that if his father severed the full sentence he’d be dead before he got out because he was 50 at the time. So he would have gotten out of prison. Lol crazy shit. Must be genetic cause this guy looks like his in his 40s and he’s almost 70
@@jacobtaylor161 - They were a pretty strict Mafia family. They wouldn't allow drug or alcohol usage, nor would they allow them to sell it, although that went on behind the families back. As Chris said, thats what happens when you take care of yourself. It is also definitely genetic.
He does answer like that, very intelligently, I know it’s a simple example but is true. He admits it (summer) without admitting it. Know what I mean ? lol
His business brain and acumen far exceeds anyone I know who studied business at University. He also understands very clearly how to smartly manage the expectations put on him. I honestly believe he’s have been incredibly successful at anything he chose to do
Bullshit he said himself that he gave info to the feds. "I pretended to give them things but it was just background". Something a rat would say everytime.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm 45, and he looks like my kid brother. Sure, he might have had some work done. Sure, he might have lived an easier life that didn't involve shovels and ditches. But mostly.... if this m*********** is as clever with his body as he is with his words he just chose to stay in shape. No Tony Soprano here.
Vlad, your questions were fantastic… I saw one of Michael’s interviews before… but you asked the questions which uncovered for me how it really feels to live the live he lived. Thanks
From the camera angles, to to the questions, to the “angles of the questions” , this to me, is not the greatest interview. He deserved more, the honesty and integrity from Michael speaks for itself.
That's what happens when a guy who has brains to become a doctor becomes a gangster.. I know Sammy gravano gets a lot of shit but he was business smart also he made millions and millions for Gotti
Love how charismatic he is. I’m African American with about 12 and a half percent Sicilian from my great grandfather Daniel Spero who was born in San Fele, Italy. He used to talk with his daughter my grandmother about all the dealings he had at one point with the Mafia. My grandmother said she would just look at him in awe. Love hearing your stories Micheal.
As many have said, this man oozes self control and discipline. Even now, having been away from his old life for many years, he’s still endeavouring to not spill any dirt on his former colleagues. He doesn’t say anything damaging, and the answers he gives are carefully calculated.
He also tells the same set of stories 100 times a week and only those stories. It's amazing how he does so many interviews and no one gets anything other than the stuff he talks about every single time. I mean literally.
notice how the only names he gave were dudes who are dead, in jail, or innocent. Even when vlad tried to pick at too much detail, he kept it concise. Dude faced major time and never snitched or cooperated to pin anybody. You do the crime, you do the time. He understood that and that's why the family let him walk.
B.S. There is no walking. Per the Cosa Nostra (Oath) this man is one in million far as the mafia is concerned. Not to mention very smart. The media nor Hollywood does not give this guy the credit like they have done others particularly Giovanni Gotti which was nothing more than a savage. But those are the ones Hollywood celebrate.
mustafahajj I’m not saying anyone could walk. I’m speaking specifically to his situation. If he snitches in anybody, he’s a dead man. He’s not welcome in that life anymore, but they let him slide bc literally no one else in the life took a penalty for any of his actions. Most dudes can’t say that and that’s why they get killed.
mcbride091 what bomb? That he was an informant? Bro, a lot of people already heard about that. Whether you knew or not, that was known information. Fat boy Al was always considered a snitch and a sell out after those days.
@@wolterzz3267 His faces subtly tenses and his gaze becomes more intense when he's lying. He allegedly cut off a guy's nut sack. He has the dead eyes of a killer. The guy's a life-long conman and a complete fraud. He is no Christian. He's peddling wine, books and bullshit. You people have been hoodwinked.
Do you see how calm and collected he is for almost all the entirety of the interview? He answered the questions as briefly as he could and showed little to no emotion the whole time. I could bet a million bucks that the cops/feds could never crack this guy in an interrogation room even on his worst day. Massive Respect💯
Literally the same. I mean you have hilarious Kirkland saying he was probably the highest paid African American to work and make more money than any. But they forgot to list him because he was helping Pablo Escobar hide from the police in the mountains.
For every1 calling him a rat keep in mind the feds/government already know all this information hes not incriminating any1 or bringing any new information
This is the only 2 hour interview were the guest is talking non stop but at the same time he doesn't say a word hes really smart i could listen to him all day
It's just intelligence and experience answering questions. He is able to process the consequences of the information he speaks, and navigate it correctly
@Almighty God George Soros #420 #GetRekd You're guilty of what you're accusing me off. I understood what was being said. I just don't think it works. Vultures don't feed on the living, only on the dead... which is why I take exception to the "culture vulture" phrase. Insecure blacks are unwittingly stating that so-called black culture is dead.
Mark J He was very clever at confirming something but at the same time not confirming it as well! Movie tagline: Maybe it’s about me, Maybe it’s not.. you know!
I enjoyed this. It’s nice to hear stories from a side of life that I have not experienced or don’t have uncles to tell me about. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your large family
It's obvious he is very clever, I've never heard such interesting stories while getting only 10% of all the information. Kept himself out of trouble, survived.... well played.
Doing what he’s gotta do to live. Only talks about things that are known and verifiable if it’s about someone else. If not he’s talking about what hes gone through without incriminating himself. Franzese is a legend.
Alex Duper LOL going by all the comments on this video about him looking late 40’s i guess that means i actually look mid 20’s.. I’m 41 and don’t look any where near as old as this guy!
he's been out of the mob for years and he's still not snitching or revealing anything that is unknown. what an honourable man. i have mad respect for this man
@@tiastewart98 people like sammy the bull, who was an underboss, flipped when they were made into scapegoat to keep the Family Boss safe. alot of those poeple are still alive thanks to witness protection😅
Micheal is a great guy and I've been watching him for a year now and had to watch this video which is 3 years old now. Micheal can tell a story and he is a smart man and has a heart. 🤘
This is the best interview I've ever seen. But I will have to say that Michael's demeanor and the way he talks is scary as hell. He always keeps his cool like same level for everything you never know what he is thinking or if he is pissed unlike Sammy who flips out over everything. This dude here is just cool.
@@jeanniepetri2290 Common folk get a rush gambling $2.50 on a slot machine. Imagine the rush from gambling millions. It don't take long to spend a fortune.
And imagine how much of that he still has left after restitution and legal fees. Vlad asked him how hard it was to make money after he got out but we all know damn well that money still ain’t an issue for him.
Now he just scams people legally it is sad this guy talking about jesus and christianity and living in a million dollar house. He just found a way to make money talking about his crime and charging for it while charging obscene amounts of money to give guest sermons in church. And no not all people that are killed by mob guys are mob guys and agree to it. Just take the people Roy Demao killed and cut to pieces did they all agree to that when they signed up. I make no bones about his previous life but humble yourself a little bit.
@@chrisjjespersen he actually had legal businesses before getting locked up so.. Michael is a smart hustler he could make money illegally or legally. that's a weird assumption saying he just found a way to make money off his stories. I truly believed he wanted out of that life. why would he risk getting murder for leaving the Colombo Family??
“I knew I was gonna go down at some point. I mean look... you get the same time for stealing a million as you do if you steal a billion. So I may as well keep going” 💯
Scorsese has done like 5 movies that together pretty much tell the whole story. The most recent, the Irishman, or “I heard you paint houses,” is probably as close as you can get to a mob fable.
B hi The guy knows a lot. This guy here is NOT a brainless thug. He became a gangster/mobster from a life circumstance. Had he wanted to he could very well have been a doctor/lawyer. He is a bright fella.
