When life becomes too unbearable, John’s music takes you to places you never knew existed for peaceful refuge. His music always moves my soul. A musical giant indeed. May he rest in eternal peace and his legacy endure.
My wife lost her job. We are having struggles right now but God brought me here. This is the sound of hope and peace. He is showing His mercy all the time telling us that he has everything under control. Telling us that we are protected under His wings.
John Barry was THE Master of putting feelings to music. There is NO question his music touches the very soul of one's feelings and emotions. He wrote music that carries eternal joy, happiness, and love...he was an absolute gift to all of us. RIP master Barry...
There is his legendary Out Of Africa theme, but have you heard his score for High Road To China? OMG!! that beats everything, it's my favourite, hands 💖💜💜down. Cheers.
My husband passed away a few days before christmas but I haven't been able to cry until today when I was listening to the music of John Barrie. I have cried all day but feel better for it The power of beautiful music
I am sorry that you lost your husband. But you can be sure there is someone who really cares about you. You can find the answer in the bible when Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 " Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves. For my yoke is kindly, and my load is light." The bible predicts a time in which there will be no more death or disease. John 5:28,29 says you shouldn't be surprised, because the time will come when all, who are in the graves will hear gods voice and will come out. The bible gives information about what god plans to do on the earth, namely a paradise and how this will affect people, so that persons like you and me will get the possibility to see our loved ones again. And you know, in the bible there is so much evidence about where resurrections took place. For example when Jesus raised Lazarus ( John 11:43,44) or think of jesus when he got resurrected from god after 3 days. (Matthew 28: 1-20 ) and this will happen also in the very near future. Revelation 21:4 ....and god will wipe out every tear from your eyes, and there will be no more death, what used to be is over. I share an very hope giving article with the theme: "Good news from god" www.jw.org/en/library/books/good-news-from-god/ I send you my best greetings and I wish you all the best for your future and stay healthy Michel
Barbara, John Barry's music helps me to feel so immersed...it moves me so much. Words mean so little when you suffer a loss. Beautiful music is such a solace. Hope your soul is healing a little as time has passed. God Bless.

I saw John Barry in London in the late 'fifties, when he had The John Barry Seven. He opened the show for pianist Winnifred Attwell. Who knew he would become one of the worlds' renowned composers? What glorious music. Like most beautiful things, it brings tears to my eyes.
This music is very emotional for me, because my parents are well into their eighties, and are struggling with life. It reminds me of how fragile life is. I pray that God gives me the strength I need to take care of them, and when they are gone that he gives me the strength to cope with the loss. The older I get I now realize how much we need God's help. Thank you so much for uploading this very beautiful and emotional music.
I found John Barry many years ago and his music touches my soul that at times I think I'm in paradise. I hope there is a special place in heaven for him. God bless you John.
I know that in January 2022 it.s late to say John Berry is a genius but not only .What John brings with his stunning music is just what we need the most today..Happiness serenity joy and so much more❤❤❤
I love this version! I had this on spotify and they changed it to the short version. This song I played at my Dad's funeral Dec 31st 2002, and there's not a day that I don't think about him. This song touches your Soul. It's like seasons in your life. May you RIP John Barry!
Used to watch this movie with my Dad, he passede away 7 years ago when I was 22. He always cried when he listened to beautiful music, and after he died, I've inherited the trait. The last bit of this truly beautiful piece makes me cry like crazy 😭 ❤
Essa trilha sonora traduz bastante nosso amor❤️I love Jesus
From lonely home to heaven ❤️❤️❤️, thanks Mr John, you brought me back to see my love one By listening to your music after many years there are gone, RIP to you and my family
@@cjm7764 So you don't like my comment, it is the truth after all. Obviously there is something wrong with you then; would you care to explain your problem?
Proposta indecente, um filme totalmente emocional, simplesmente brilhante! ...
My mother was the Music Coordinator for the school systems and had me in the circle of music my young life, meeting Directors, Musicians, and Composers of all kinds. I was very lucky to have this gift in my life and able to listen with my ears and my heart. Thank you John Barry for your gift of such beauty ~
Wow. What can I say about John Barry. Music of a thousand angels. You were absolutely amazing. Your music will live with me forever…. Especially the music to this film. I’ve been listening to this array of violins and piano from this film since 1993. What a film and what instruments. Again. “WOW” rest in piece master musician of a generation. I will never forget you.
Sometimes it's good to stop and reflect on the life you've had, the mistakes you've made and one's you've loved and lost. John Barry's music just seems to take you to that reflective place and although it may bring tears it will touch your heart and soul and bring you peace of mind. That is a rare and special gift.
Hi me again listening sooth my neves when my time comes I’d like to put my earphones on and listen to his music and drift off to heaven what would be better
Almost takes the pain of life away, and leaves you rested , calmed , almost in another place !! No-one could ask for more. The storyline of the film is heartbreaking, what more would you, could you want in life than to be truly loved?? NOTHING. We search our lives for love, and peace, to be content. Maybe one day, I feel that.. thank you John Barry, your music lifts me ! Rip
I love John Barry, his music calms the mind and the heart, especially at this dreadfull time of a Covid mad world.... Thinking of my kindred lonely hearts out there.. Listen and relax 💞
Believe this is Link to another dimension where loving & healing energies thrive. And where those we've lost reach out to us w/ comfort. Real music is a vibrational resonance that never becomes stale . . . this is it! My go-to multiple times weekly.
We,I and my dog Marley,we lost everything..only I have him and he me...we are free..ñothing more.Thank you,Mr.Barry,that you was here,thank you very y much.
I literally haven’t enough words for describing this sound track. I am pretty sure it comes from a special man ( j.Barry) ,because only a pure and deep soul can create something so beautiful and intense
One of the most touching soundtracks I have ever heard. It takes me and keeps so high. Below everything is so small. No diseases, ho problems. John Barry was a fantastic composer.

So beautiful and touching. Nowadays John Barry is often forgotten if compared for example to others composers (e.g. Ennio Morricone, James Horner, Hans Zimmer, John Williams) but he has really a delicate music that arrives straight to the deep of the soul. He made several wonderful tracks
John Barry was an absolute genius! His music reaches so deep into my heart and soul. It carries me to places that no other music seems to go. Pure heaven!
This song is so beautiful ❣️❣️ I reminds me of my mother looking down and smiling at me from the heavens she just passed away in October of this year and she always loved music like this 💞❣️
She was a wonderful inspiration to you then. I gave my sons what my Mum Gave me, Music, books, love of all peoples, superb German baker, humanitarian spirit, endless energy for family plants children and renewal of the world
This is exactly the same for me and how I feel, my darling, precious mum passed in Oct 2019, she was the only one who truly loved me, she was my World and she meant everything to me 😪😪
It's strange for the past two years I keep coming back to this video. It has helped reduce stress from college tests and finals. There is just something about this music that makes feel relaxed and forget your worries. Glad I stumbled on this video by accident it truly has helped with stress.
John Barry's music always takes me to a place in my memory, where I was loved, pampered, and peaceful. Usually secret times away from home where the frenetic pace was left behind. This man, John Barry, was a remarkable talent and his music is always so peaceful, and takes me back, if only in memory and spirit, and I'll always remember and cherish those times his music evokes in my memory!
I absolutely agree with you, when I am in such pain this music touches me so deeply...i only wish I had the capability to write so beautifully, but I guess I was the one to accept the gift of receiving. God bless John for bringing peace to our weary souls!
One of the greats of the 20th century; an incomparable magical talent of painting epics vast and deep, tying emotion, nostalgia, and scale up in the most spectacular of works. We are fortunate indeed to have had Barry, Williams, Silvestri, Morricone, Goldsmith, Horner, Newman and a dozen other savantic masters of instrumental storytelling within our time.
John Barry has made some incredible music over the years. It touches my heart always. The movie Indecent Proposal starring Robert Redford is a favourite. An absolute good looking ,aluring sexy guy who didnt have to say or do anything. His presence ,his look said it all, and accompanied by beautifull music, WOW!!!! Doesn't come any better.
He is obviously a very very talented musician. John i Hope you are really really content in your spirit world. For me you were/are the finest composer of very moving music. Rest in peace John.
I have been listening his music since; " Somewhere in Time " I saw the movie in 1982, and since then, I have been a faithful of his music. This is a music's voyage is an introspective to the most intimate hope and realities of love
John truly had the perspective of an artist. He dreamed for peace in his later years. He moved to New York, Centre Island and remained there until his death on 30 January 2011 at his Oyster Bay home, aged 77. John never liked talking about his music & repiudiated the fame that came along with it. He attributed his success not to talent but being born into "good times". His musical style is genre defiant as using synthesizers with Classical was deemed controversial back then. But his characteristic Poly-rhythmic metres, Strings shrills, flurries & sweeping soaring crescendos placated with low Brass 5ths & delicate harp placements made his music stand out. His Bond Scores are some of the most disciplined pieces for Brass players & there are even moments where Barry himself couldn't prepare his players well enough to the operatic structure of some of his earlier works which required lots of short bursts of notes. One being in "Drop in the Ocean" from YOLT. His legacy is still felt today by people who were touched by his art beyond Bond titles which he later distanced himself from - wanting more gentil sombre projects to work on. He will always be the sound of Bond, but as demonstrated here, he had a knack for dreamy pieces with no hard ends. _"Frank Sinatra did 'Born Free', Tony Bennett did 'Walkabout,' but you have no control over who does what, really. So you just hold yourself responsible for the stuff you do, and then get filthy rich on all this stuff that other people have done."_ ~ *John Barry*
This is the Indecent Proposal story of the Highlanders. The Highlanders have a Princess from Ireland. They gave her a tartan kilt and black watch fabric and a bagpipe and a tam. She would sit and watch. They liked parading for her. She would applaud and salute. When she left for London, the Highlanders cried an cried.
I have a complete catalog of John Barry on my Spotify. When I go on vacation I listen to his music as I drive. Plus, when I need to relax I listen to his music.
if there is a place called Heaven John Barry is there, he created such beautiful, soulful music. it amazes me how one man can create such music!!! miss you Mr.Barry.
I have just discovered this poet of the music. It makes me cry many times 'cos my mum died a few months ago and many memoties come to my mind, but he makes them be sweet and calm. When I looked at her photo I also smile and feel as if she were still here with me. Everything is because of this beatiful music.
Fortunately, there are people like John Barry, Morricone etc ... who sweeten the soul with their music, because man is using a virus for unclear purposes and to keep some from dying, others do not let others live, John Barry's suite makes you dream, caresses the interior, relaxes the spirit, marvelous. Hi Joseph
That's a cool teaching, similar to the Catholic one that music is a manefestation of the Glory of God. I think- let me check... Oh, no, the teaching is that God gave humanity music to reflect upon his beauty. May God Bless you and keep you in his favor Always!
All of the tears I share with this piece still do not it justice. I was in Frankfurt Germany because an Army recruiter lied to me and told me I’d leave my country of panama behind the love of my life because her dad was getting stationed in Alabama. He told me he could get me close. Next thing I know I’m on a flight to the other side of the world and crying listening to this. My life and my love has never been the same. 26 years later. Thank you John for giving me this peace of what we had so long ago. 😢
