This is shit. The stock market is way better than the bond market. Inflation kills the APR and actually decreases your real dollar value over time. Gold is also a good hedge to have during downturns as it gains 1-2% a year, higher than bond markets and it rises significantly during high inflation or market downturns allowing investors to sell their gold and add exposure to the stock market during those buying opportunities. Obviously this last downturn is different since interest rates at 0% are keeping stocks so high though that seems to be subsiding

Yeah, this guy isn't trying to tell you what he does. Do what I say not what I do, basically... Like, you'll do good enough this way, really quite rude, or he's still living in the 1950s when you could basically get rich having a crappy job and being financially smart ...

And the crypto market is better than the stock market.
@clipsnipper2197
@clipsnipper2197 2 года назад
@@alexf6206 The crypto market is much different from securities trading. It's unfair to classify or quantify the differences between the two. It's such as comparing plant life to animal life. They are completely different, in fact I'd argue they more complicated than the difference between equity vs commodities even. I own Ethereum and Ethereum name services coins, along with company stock and stocks I've bought. Apart from the differences of the two, the only similarity between the two is taxation and that both have done well over time. In terms of overall gains both have done exceeding well in building wealth, especially the earlier you got in. I didn't bring up crypto because the bond market is an even further irrelevancy than the stock market from crypto. Bond markets are mainly controlled by central banks and used to protect central currencies against deflation and hyperinflation, individually bonds yield almost negative true dollar value, but for banks who need to pass stress tests in the U.S. they are extremely important. Also when he was younger interests rates were double digits meaning you might make a 15% apr bond yield on a ten year bond, which is an amazing investment since it's guaranteed yields far above inflationary risks. But nowadays even the 30y treasury bond doesn't beat inflation. It is true that some banks, mostly foreign central banks and their bonds are negative yields, which is quite a phenomenon. Either way, I'm sure this gentlemen is extremely smart and did well especially for his time period. Sorry for the over explanation, I often find online most people exaggerate their knowledge on many subjects of finance which proves to always be infinitely more than finite on how much you can learn. If you have any additional questions feel free to ask.
