Travis has found what he’s really good at: talking about armwrestling.

It is all in fun and to bring attention to the sport. I knew who John was thanks to Over the Top and an awesome documentary but Devon is what got me to start following arm wresting despite me having no interest in ever doing it. I like the John gets it and even played into it a bit.

I used to not like Travis, the more I watch his matches and him I think he’s actually a really good guy. He’s just like Devon in the fact that he will do and say anything at the table to get an advantage. Travis also has a big respect for John as well

John arguing the grip during the first round against Devon will always bother me considering he *CLEARLY* started waaaaay too early (probably a good second) & had the advantage. We saw what happened when he didn't get a false start with round two... which is basically, John couldn't do anything & Devon held him while laughing about it. There's no question that Devon is the type of guy to "cheat" in every way he possibly can, especially when it comes to the grip but John isn't really that much better. Except that Devon has never made a single excuse after he lost. Whining about the reffing & grip is below John, especially when he should've gotten a foul to start with (and the only reason he didn't is b/c the ref was clearly sick of waiting & wanted the match to start).

I want to see a "John and Benny" vlog now.

Ninety seconds of rest between rounds is interesting. I wonder what the reasoning is for 90 seconds specifically? The reason I ask is because of ATP recovery times vary among strength athletes. The shortest ATP recovery times I have ever seen is 60 seconds but 2 minutes seems to be average for a highly trained strength athlete. Without measuring it's simply a guess but I would bet Devon's ATP recovery times are lower than average.

John should talk to Devon like he talks to his dog, and all problems would be sorted.

Yeah well those shenanigans won't work on levan when levan can literally grip devons hand to the point he's not slipping period and then let his power do the rest. Devons arm is gonna get hurt unless he gives up early.

It’s almost like brzenk is forgetting that first round the start was 100% in his favor lol before the go, John had Devon on his side and John even got a jump. Devon gave John everything in that first round and Devon still won. Lol

I was in a 215lb right match back in 88 that was reffed by Bruce Way ( the crazy huge guy that drank the motor oil in Over The Top) Bruce was telling everyone that pulling John was like trying to move the hydraulics of a D9 Cat..........Bruce also told us that the movie techs filled his oil can 2/3 of the way with honey and by the time he picked up the oil can the oil had risen to the surface so he actually drank the oil in the movie, and needed to go to emergency about 30 minutes after the take. Crazy.....

Devon will get 6 rounds of effort out of Levan before they have even had 1 round, Levan better be wayyy stronger so that it doesn't matter otherwise Devon is going to bleed him mentally then physically.

... and if John would have won, he'd be saying, "I knew I had him beat from to get-go."

I'm sorry but I remember a time when Devon was bright eyed and shiny and believed in the good in the world, coming down to America to fight the legends and was just happy to get a chance to, and he realizing he could hang with the best. And then watching Americans totally cheat Devon out of win again and again, until Devon finally had enough and started to fight back. And i remember even John didn't care when it was an American doing what he could to get his better grip up, or at least ensure the other person didn't get the advantage, and now we come full circle. Where Devon has over the years given into what was the American way of pulling, meaning fight for what you get at the grip up, and there are 'no victims' attitude towards a Canadian who initially just wanted a 'fair start' and was not given that, and no one cared. To where that Canadian finally had enough and did the same things the Americans were doing otherwise he would never had had a fair match himself. And now John is complaining about the refs not giving him the advantage. What a world... John, I'm sorry, but crying about being the victim to a Canadian is the saddest thing ever... especially ironic that you choose to do it on the Travis Bagent show....
