except, carpenter, thats not the film, and if it had been that, it would have flopped, and you know it, which is why you had his reflexes thing, shown at the beginning, and then used to kill the antagonist at the end, if that hadnt been in there, it wouldnt be the cult classic that it was, so carpenter was being a flippant clown there.
