Based on this video, it is obvious to see that the key to the success of this game is making characters amazing on their own and not be dependent on cameos. The developers are stuck between either unleashing cameos completely to fill character weaknesses or restricting cameos but making characters be individually great like Cage and Peacemaker.
This, in a way i feel like kameos end up hurting the game more than making it better, because a lot of the characters feel restricted, just to insert the kameos into their gameplay
Honestly really funny and ironic hearing him love Peacemaker so much and even say he might just be his character. Seeing as how all the way till his gameplay trailer Max just did not care about and was the least interested in him out of everyone in the Kombat Pack, writing him off as another "guy with gun who just shoots and punches" like Robocop. Oh how that changed and i couldnt be happier about it.
Everyone was so excited about the supers instead thinking this would be a gun character, which if Netherrealm fucked up it could be, but if you watch the how you can just see the potential. I love how Eagly and the helmet are used in his kit. I also hope it increases viewership for that show too. Glad more people are finding the way of the pacifying fist.
Wait, Cena actually voiced Peacemaker, right? He sounds so good, like it's not "a live action character brought to the game", but "a comic character collab". I don't see Cena, I see a character named Peacemaker and that's telling how good he is

Never have I heard SONIC BOOM being use in a fighting game that is actually cool and impressive. AT the moment my current mains are Scorpion & Mileena but now I'm looking to fully main John Ce-Peacemaker for just how crazy shit he can do MY GOD! I know that Peacemaker is guest character but I want him to be fully added as in the Mortal Kombat roster from here on out.
The one thing that sucks from this, and is somewhat common in FGs, is that DLC characters get real creative and makes you wish the base roster had the same treatment
That feeling when Max realized there's a great exploit mechanism on Peacemaker will be the benchmark for Homelander one day. You can get unlimited Anti-Gravity like that is insanely fun...

I mean a big part of the bit with The Suicide Squad was that the lineup was mostly Z-list supervillains that nobody gave a shit about (and Harley Quinn) proving themselves so the task was successfully carried out lol

I've been using Peacemaker/Sonya and it's soooooo cool! Energy ring setups to make his Anti Gravity safe, break armor, and combo on hit! He can also combo his headbutt and his 31 string
They nailed omniman with that air dash extender really adding the L2 flying dash which made him feel really cool and unique and i feel like they took that as an example for the design of this character. Everything just works the way you expect it to work.
