I’m no guitar expert but it really seems like teemu is playing the solos like they sounded off the albums seems like a tremendous talent looking forward to what he can do on the next album.
Yes, Teemu is a great guitarist Many players can shred but can’t go note for note like Teemu and his ilk, Steve Vai was known for the note for note thing, Many younger players don’t know that Vai use to tab out the hardest solos for guitar mags back in the day
Yeah, but "pretty much" is still an understatement. He plays them better at live than any of their previous guitarists, including those who composed them.
Wow what a cool guy. Happy for him. I have noticed in recent videos the energy from his playing is getting much much stronger from when he started. He seems to really be feeling it. Can’t wait to see him live in Cincinnati and Clarkston here soon
First time hearing of him or seeing him was on stage with Megadeth mere days after Kiko left, immediately he fit in and as I type this I am still amazed how he pulled that off. I am not talking just playing the music which he crushed but everything from presence and compatibility with the others. Being in bands I know, it can take time to get a feel for where you are, how the others move and act. Damn, he we right there no problem. Total Professional!
This is the first interview I've seen with Teemu. Great job, I love your enthusiasm. He seems like a good dude. I hope Megadeth can get some new music rolling soon. I'm sick of waiting 6 to 8 years for bands to release a new album. It's getting ridiculous!
He has been a perfect fit for the band. I had been hoping that the last lineup would stay together until the end and felt a sickening feeling in my stomach when Kiko announced that he was leaving. But as soon as I heard Teemeu play with them, ,I knew the guitar spot was in good hands. He is absolutely perfect for the role. Now..I start another round of keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that this lineup stays together.
If you play guitar for wintersun, most of megadeth's songs are a walk in the park for a guy like that. He was being really humble when the interviewer said "how did you learn all those very difficult songs" haha
Mr Mantysaari, You Are A Prodigy My Friend. Thank You So Much For Joining The Legendary MEGADETH. You Are A Fantastic Musician. I Look So Forward To Seeing You Soon. Again Thank You My Friend....
So Teemu is the 8th?..whatever lead guitarist in 40 years....aiight. He is young, talented, very likeable and I wish him all the best. Hopefully he can take his newfound popularity and make the best of it. I wish him he is remembered more like Marty and Kiko than Broderick/Drover/Pitrelly/Young/Poland.
@@n1troni To me it makes no difference as long as the music is good. To Teemu it should make a lot of difference and he should figure out why he is the 8th and have an escape plan ready at all times.
@@plamenpenkov2865 well the guitarist before him was there for 8 years, the one before him for 5 years. So not much of a problem. Marty was else There for 10 years. So if ur good and not a drug addict u can play in megadeth for years
@@n1troni The years are not the problem, the reasons(reason) are/is. It's not normal for guitarists to want to leave one of the most legendary guitar bands. Maybe it's not fun being around my man Dave. I know some were fired. Marty and Kiko weren't, they left. Do you believe Kiko exited because of family business, or that Marty left because of musical differences? No. They are both too nice to handle dealing with Dave. So is Teemu from what I see.
@@plamenpenkov2865 he f*fucking left the band!!!😂 Im sorry i had to, they left reminded me of this precious moment. Yea marty left cuz of some shit happening, but for kiko i honestly believe he went to his family, all he does now ffom what i see on social is in brasil
FINALLY some confirmation about Kiko's situation. Teemu is incredibly talented, this is a great gig for him, he fits very well with Dave's technical proficiency. The possibilities for the next studio album with Teemu is very promising, will we get a follow up to Rust In Peace? I hope Dave really lets Teemu be himself, contribute as much as Kiko did. Of course, when I said about Rust In Peace, it was a tongue and cheek comment but, the possibility is there for a technical piece of mastery like that album offers!
Megadeth have made plenty of attempts to recreate the sound of Rust in Peace. The fact that some people think they haven't tried is probably proof that it can't be done.
Damn. That was a really good interview. I love Wintersun and was very glad to hear he joined Megadeth. He is crushing it. Seems like a cool guy so I'm happy for him.
Really like this interview, bur ive noticed in alot of interview hes being talked down like. Oh big shoes to fill, how did you manage, its the biggest call of your career and so on and so on. He was an amazing guitar player before and will be after megadeth
I'm not going to lie, I was hoping Kiko would be the guitarist that was there when Megadeth finished its career. He was the perfect last guitarist, a culmination of Poland and Friedman, and a player Dave gave a lot of leeway to. He had a significant amount of writing credits on the last album. But, unfortunately Kiko had to leave for personal reasons, and I respect that. But, he couldn't have chosen a better player to fill his spot. Teemu is a beast. He makes it look easy. The solos are just about as close to the originals as any player that's been in Megadeth. Sure, Megadeth has had a lot of players, and I know Dave has a reputation for "kicking people out." In reality, Dave has only kicked out the first two lineups, Menza, and eventually Ellefson. Everyone else left on their own. And there was the time period where Dave got hurt and decided to disband Megadeth and make a solo record, which just ended up being a Megadeth record. He even tried to get Marty and Nick back. Ellefson came back, even after he tries to sue Dave, and Lomenzo came back. Regardless, Megadeth has always been Dave's baby, and regardless of who is in the band, it always sounds like Megadeth. Teemu is a great addition and I'm glad he will get a more main stream audience to appreciate his talent. I can't wait to see what the new record will sound like.
Thank you for sharing! God bless you my friend!!God bless all the rattleheads!! Jesus saves sinners! If you like it heavy, MEGADETH weighs a ton!Greetings from ashland ohio!
Well honestly, in mid 90's I never thought Megadeth would still be around in 2000's. And especially when Marty left, I thought it was over. And even that they have had few not so good albums, they have always sounded like Megadeth. Unfortunately that is not something you can say about Metallica.
Hope he left Wintersun bcz Jari albeit very talented musically is a shameless vampire & sooner or later fans will turn on the band for sure. Can't wait to hear what he'll do in the future MEGADETH album, damn sure it'll be great but just how much is the suspense.
Great player. Megadeth have always had amazing players, but if he thinks he's in the band full time, and not just a hired hand, he's got another thing coming.
