Also had to add, at the end of the day, with that self-titled 1994 Motley Crue album, John gave the band a heaviness and legitimacy they never had before or since.

That album had some credibility, but the rest of their career is just silly & fun, but not to be taken serious in the realm of what I’d call “musicians or songwriters” per se.

I met John during the Union tour and asked about Motley, not knowing at the time it was a bad thing to bring up. He didn't talk about it but I could tell he was a bit upset about it. I personally thought he seemed bummed it didn't work out when I was talking to him. I wish he could have made more records with Motley. He was very nice, humble and smelled like Patchouli :)

Any one who followed Motley Crue back in the day knows that The Dirt was mediocre at best.

True. And you also knew that Nikki was not a hardcore heroin user. Like John Corrobi says....he "dabbled" with it. Meaning that he may have tried it here and there. But never became a full-blown addict like Slash and Duff were in Guns & Rose's. And that's the problem; Nikki and Motley wanted to be like G&R in the late 80's. Because in 87, 88, 89 Guns were way bigger than Motley. And Nikki knew that. That's why he made his heroin use seem bigger than it was. For attention!

@@frankferriolo9212 no doubt...I guess I need to remember that this was just a Netflix movie...I expected a little more and was left with a lot less. I honestly think Behind the Music did a better job than Netflix 😂

@@frankferriolo9212 Smartest Comments here by far ! Kurt Cobain- was a hardcore heroin user and look what happened to him. The lifestyle killed him. The Machine - as Duff calls it in his great book It' So Easy and Other Lies. You cannot have a full-time heroin habit, produce great records and fulfil your contractual obligations of playing 60 concerts worldwide whilst using daily. Keith Richards and Jimmy Page both tried it and it almost killed the pair of them. I have read countless books on The Stones where Jagger told 'Keef' if he wanted to live his Babylonian lifestyle, it would require a never ending process off record company & babd management wanting a huge album followed by huge tour repeating a never ending cycle of which both the Stones, and Led Zeppelin, did throughout the whole of the Seventies. Even Dave Grohl in September 2021 said, ' In Utero was a horrible album.' It wasn't selling even as half as much as Nevermind and Cobain was becoming very difficult to communicate, live and tour with. March 1994 - Massive European tour cancelled by Nirvana. Cobain would NOT clean up as he thought he was 'special. ' However, unlike Keef from The Stones, Kurt Cobain could NOT ride 'the Machine.' It threw Cobain off . . . . . . it killed him. POSTSCRIPT JIMMY Page and Keef at least did a decade off huge selling albums & even bigger tours.

One thing, concerning the interviewer:At least he didn't stray away from the interview, in order to launch a personal attack on KISS... and especially when it comes down to Paul Stanley. I've heard what's-his-face, Eddie Trunk, from "That Metal Show", attack Paul Stanley so much, that I'm tired of it! I've never liked somebody continually beating the proverbial "Dead Horse", and no, I'm not calling Paul Stanley a dead horse. It's just that Eddie Trunk seems to want to continue doing that. If he's not careful, he could lose a load of much-needed listeners, and end up getting dropped by whatever network that he's on. This interviewer, talking with John Cora I, stays on point, and I like that. We'll done, Sir!
