I have alot of John's instructionals and alot of the time when I'm doing something not jiu jitsu related I hear him in my head explaining systematically how to do something whether its driving, eating, lifting ect. lol love this guy man
He wore a rashguard at Matt Serras wedding. Since the quarantine I'm wearing Under Armour shirts every day and its quite comfy. So I get why Mr. Danaher wears his rashguard everyday👍
When you disperse knowledge two things are happening. You are giving knowledge out, and you are also dividing information or splitting it up. I like the way you think about technique.
great video but the title is a bit misleading, i thought the video was gonna be john talking about which techniques were used to score the most, or what was the most common place to score a back take from. like a schoolofgrappling post
Philosophy was one of my favorite classes in school. I kept taking it again and again. Complements other aspects of life, yes. I also liked Psychology.
During the early 00's, Cesar Gracie was enjoying the current John Danaher status for being the man in charge of the most dominant team ever. His students were winning everywhere at the world's top stages and people wondered if he was good at recruiting talented fighters like Greg Jackson or his coaching skills were on the exceptional level like Lloyd Irvin. If I were 16 years old full of athletic potential, I'd want to learn from Cesar or Danaher. But I know how much improvement I'd make depends on how effectively I spar with partners and develop my own cliches in the sessions. Teacher can just be an aid to facilitate those learning processes.
When I'm actually good at jiujitsu I'm gonna make the trip out to New York to train with Renzo,Marcelo and unity team I'm still a blue belt so maybe When I'm nearly brown belt level
Hudson Hawk6, yeah I've heard that training with John danaher doesn't necessarily mean that he'll focus on you. I also heard that if your not one of the DDS members, your simply ignored
just immensely overestimating the performance of his students - apart from Gordon Ryan everyone else is a B or C-lister and anyone who has trained jiu jitsu for at least 8 years knows that. You can beat Canuto but you cannot beat Lepri or JT, you can beat Jamil Hill but you will not beat Miyao. They may close this gap but will take too much time to become an A lister.
