John Deere 1-1/2hp type E Hit and Miss engine brought back to life 

I recently acquired this engine. Hasn’t run in years. Has great compression and turns freely. Spark was almost nonexistent. Had to completely rebuild the magneto. Re-timed the Ignitor, adjusted the exhaust valve, and replaced the rotted fuel tank. After a few weeks of going round and round, I finally got it all sorted out and running. I still need to fix the air leaking fuel line and install some new gaskets. I’m just glad to see it making noise again!
